Role Overview
We are delighted to partner with an international development organisation as they look to appoint a Programme Funding Manager to their team. This vital role will secure and manage funding from trusts, foundations, government agencies and multilateral donors, and help shape the gender, education and community development programmes across the globe.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of the organisation's funding strategy across key thematic areas including health, disaster relief, sustainable livelihoods and research grants.
- Identify, cultivate and steward relationships with a wide range of institutional donors, research bodies, universities, trusts and foundations.
- Develop high?quality, compelling funding proposals that contribute to organisational income targets.
- Support and coordinate colleagues across international teams, fostering collaboration and shared donor intelligence.
- Oversee contract and grant management, ensuring compliance with donor regulations and proactively managing risks and performance.
- Support project design and MEAL approaches to strengthen the quality, credibility and impact of proposals.

Person Specification
- A successful track record securing institutional funding and managing grant portfolios.
- Strong knowledge of the international development sector, ideally with experience in areas such as livelihoods, resilience, access to food/water or gender.
- Excellent understanding of the programme management cycle and MEAL principles.
- Proven ability to write clear, persuasive proposals and reports for institutional audiences.
- Experience building effective cross?functional relationships and supporting colleagues across multiple locations.
- Strong budgeting skills, including preparing financials for institutional funders.
- Confident communication skills with the ability to engage donors, partners and internal stakeholders.
- Experience managing or coaching others, with a collaborative and supportive leadership style.
- A willingness to travel within the UK and overseas as required.

You will report to the Director of Finance, line manage one Senior Database Officer and be responsible for managing The Sick Children’s Trust’s database, Donorflex, ensuring accuracy and integrity of data is maintained to a high standard. Duties will include:
- Overseeing the processing of all income transactions into the database on a timely basis
- Line manage, coach and support one Senior Database Officer
- Processing service user information into the database on a timely basis
- Responsible for all Gift Aid management
- Producing scheduled and ad-hoc data selections for mailings as requested
- Analyse and produce reports using database data to support other areas of the Charity in their strategic decision-making
- Responding to queries from staff in all areas of the Charity on database use, income coding and service user data

About you
You have experience of managing a CRM database and working in a finance and database team, ensuring you can hit the ground running. Your skills and knowledge ensure you are confident in carrying out day-to-day and monthly database processes and enable you to provide managers advice of these processes.
You have experience of line managing and mentoring, supporting your direct report’s continued development and success.
You have proficient IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel, and good working knowledge of database software are a given.
You have strong organisational skills, an eye for detail to ensure accuracy and strong numerical skills.

About the Senior Communications Lead
The Senior Communications Lead is a senior, hands-on leadership role, reporting to the Executive Lead, and responsible for shaping and delivering BBA’s cross-channel communications strategy. Working closely with the Executive Lead and team, you will drive increased awareness and understanding of baby banks, ensuring communications actively enable BBA’s wider goals around funding, partnerships and sector influence.
Average UK awareness of baby banks currently sits at around 33%. Building on successful national partnerships (including IKEA and ITV’s Lorraine), this role will take BBA’s profile to the next level, embedding baby bank experiences and voices at the heart of everything we do.
As a co-incubated organisation, developed with and for baby banks, strong experience of effective collaboration and understanding of the issues that baby banks are addressing, and facing themselves, is fundamental.
You will oversee all communications activity across BBA, line manage the Communications Manager and task manage the Communications and Projects Officer, and build a small but high-impact communications function from the ground up within a resource-constrained, fast-moving organisation. Collaborating with teams at BBA’s incubating partners, Save the Children and Purposeful Ventures, will be key.

About the role
As a Superstore Manager you’ll be acting as an ambassador for Cancer Research UK, motivating your team to maximise on sales and fundraising targets. Your superstore will be a place where your community gets to meet our people, understand our brand, and see some of the great things we do.
Our Stevenage Superstore is one of our busiest (2nd busiest in the charity), with c4500 bags of donations per week, and a 10-person strong team with c20 volunteers. Therefore, we are looking for candidates who thrive in a fast paced and busy retail environment. You’ll bring strong people management experience and commercial awareness, this could be from experience in a large format retail background such as a Department Store Manager, Superstore Manager, Supermarket Manager or Multi-Site Manager . It’s a varied role where you will use your commercial acumen, retail operations and customer service experience, as well as acting as the face of CRUK.

What will I be doing?

As Director of Income Generation & Business Development you will set the strategic direction for all income related activity across the charity, ensuring LWA develops a sustainable, diversified income portfolio that is aligned with the charity’s purpose and values. The role would best suit:
- A senior income generation leader, with broad multi-stream experience and a proven track record of strategically driving growth and diversification of fundraised income.
- A strategic leader with the ability to develop a team across income generation, marketing and communications and retail.
- An individual with experience of developing income generation strategies that intersect with organisational strategies and ambitions.
- Someone with the ability to balance income generation with ethical storytelling/responsibility, public accountability and regulatory considerations.

Main purpose of the role
The Community Leader is responsible for ensuring that the Community is living the mission of L’Arche, by providing excellent and sustainable care and support services, support for spirituality, and engaging with our neighbours and the wider community around us.
The Community Leader will:
- Lead the Community by responding to the needs, choices and context of our members while being faithful to the L'Arche UK Vision and Values, the L'Arche International Identity and Mission Statement, and to a co-created Community Mandate and plan;
- Maintain and enhance high-quality, person-centred care, support, and housing for people with learning disabilities, both at home and in our day services in partnership with the Registered Manager, the local and national teams, individual circles of support, and external partners.

- Foster a culture that maximises the voice and power for people with learning disabilities, and builds listening and collaboration between Community members. This will include working with an active Community Support Group, Community Gatherings, listening groups, and other forums.
- Lead and manage a committed and engaged leadership team to achieve objectives, set a positive culture, and support the personal and professional growth of our teams.
- Cultivate an open, creative, and inclusive spiritual life, inviting everyone in the Community to deepen their connections.
- Model, advocate for, and embrace the L’Arche ethos of deep, long-term, and mutually transforming relationships between people with and without learning disabilities. Plan and lead a regular calendar of events that build community belonging and help keep people connected.
- Contribute to the national work programmes of L’Arche UK, as part of the National Council, collaborating with Community Leaders of other L’Arche Communities, to share skills, best practice and resources.

Key essential criteria
- Senior leadership experience in support to adults with learning disabilities (or transferable skills and experience in a closely-related field).
- Experience leading and managing an organisation or large teams to deliver results, maintain compliance and quality, and to respond to risks and opportunities.
- Experience leading and developing diverse teams to flourish, individually and together.
- Good financial planning skills and experience successfully managing a substantial budget.
- Evidence of the ability to think strategically, and work collaboratively to develop and implement community plans.
