About the role
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast moving, youth focused, charity and to play a vital role in securing income to support our youth activities – working with Trusts and Foundations predominantly, but with the opportunity to also build relationships with statutory funders and, in future, major donors.
We are looking for a proactive, organised individual to join Young Enterprise as part of our impactful and collaborative National Fundraising team. YE’s supportive yet driven environment places personal development at its core, to ensure team members thrive.
Working with the Senior Relationship Manager and the Philanthropy Team, you will contribute to an annual budget of £4.2m and raise income from Trusts and Foundations and small statutory income streams, utilising your income generating and communication skills. About the opportunity
Working closely with the Fundraising Manager and Head of Philanthropy, you will support a range of fundraising activities, most predominantly researching new avenues for funding within trusts, foundations and corporate partners, completing grant applications, carrying out communications and reporting to existing funders and raising the profile of the charity through representing Action Tutoring at funder or networking events. About the Event
The Schools Triathlon is a fun, mass participation sporting event for 7–13 year olds. Its mission? To get more young people moving, having fun, and discovering the power of fundraising. In 2025, over 10,000 young people took part in 12 events, raising an incredible £1.5 million for Restless Development and local charities. Since it began, the Schools Triathlon has raised over £5 million—making it our flagship fundraising event.
About the Role
As the Fundraising Events Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in delivering the Schools Triathlon series. You’ll work closely with a wide range of stakeholders, including the Schools Triathlon Committee, event venues, local schools, participants, volunteers, and our event delivery partners.
You’ll take the lead on two to three Schools Triathlon events, managing all aspects of planning and delivery with the school and our third party event company. This includes delivering engaging school assemblies at local schools to inspire pupils to take part and fundraise for Restless Development.
Our volunteers are the heart of the Schools Triathlon and without them, these events simply couldn’t happen. This role will be crucial in recruiting, coordinating, and supporting volunteers before, during, and after each event.
With support from the Senior Fundraising Manager. You will:
- Develop and implement creative volunteer recruitment strategies.
- Build strong relationships with local community groups
- Manage volunteer communications, ensuring a positive and rewarding experience.
- Work closely with each of the host schools to support them with their student and staff volunteers
- Lead on the Duke of Edinburgh volunteer programme, working closely with host schools to expand and strengthen this initiative.

Schools Triathlon Events:
- Support the planning and delivery of Schools Triathlon events from start to finish.

- Support the team with event communications, ensuring timely, accurate, and professional responses.
- Use DotDigital to deliver email communications to volunteers and event participants.

About the Programme
The Schools Triathlon is a fun, mass participation sporting event for 7–13 year olds. Its mission? To get more young people moving, having fun, and discovering the power of fundraising. In 2025, over 10,000 young people took part in 12 events, raising an incredible £1.5 million for Restless Development and local charities. Since it began, the Schools Triathlon has raised over £5 million—making it our flagship fundraising event.
About the Role
This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity for anyone looking to kickstart their career in fundraising and events management. As our Assistant Fundraising Events Coordinator, you’ll play a vital role in Restless Development’s close-knit fundraising team, helping to deliver our flagship events — the Schools Triathlon.
You’ll gain hands-on experience working with a wide range of stakeholders, including our volunteer Schools Triathlon Committee, schools, pupils, parents, and event delivery partners. The Relationship Fundraising role will play a significant part in contributing to a high-performing fundraising team. The role will cover the counties of Cambridgeshire, Norfolk & Suffolk.
You will report to the Relationship Fundraising Manager and support the Head of Relationship Fundraising & Volunteering to drive the continued growth of the charity’s fundraising income in your area. Key Responsibilities:
Strategy, finance, and reporting
· Responsibility for stewardship and relationship building with supporters within the East region.
· Identify and apply for ‘Charity of the Year’ partnerships with corporates in the region, account manage these relationships up to a value of £50,000 per annum and support the Partnership Development Team with national partnerships in your region.
· Support existing volunteer fundraisers to encourage continued loyalty to the charity and to maximise funds raised, in accordance with fundraising legislation and good practice.

What's the role about?
As part of the RSPB’s 2030 strategy, we need to inspire many more, and more diverse people to take action for nature. Community Fundraising is a crucial channel to activate financial support from new audiences, and the Community Fundraising Delivery Manager will be responsible for the delivery of our new portfolio of fundraising products and to ensure the Community Fundraising team is embedded into new ways of working.
The role will be responsible for the smooth running of the team’s systems and delivery of products, and the ongoing monitoring of best practices and compliance across the community fundraising operation. This is an exciting time to join a team that is redefining its income stream.
Key activities will include:
- Responsibility for the management and operation of current Community Fundraising team and contribution to the delivery of products that are in the delivery pipeline.
- Define, allocate and manage work and responsibilities to line reports in a fast paced and changing environment.
- Monitor and review the work of line reports against KPIS to deliver operational work and ensure budget and best practices are met.
- Contribute to development of expertise provided to the business, monitoring external developments identifying risks and opportunities in order to facilitate continuous improvement in delivery of the RSPB’s strategy.
- Work with other RSPB teams to embed existing and new processes and systems (such as CRM) to enhance efficiency and future-proof the ways of working of the team.
- Contribute to effective stakeholder management that facilitates collaborative external and internal relationships with appropriate stakeholders.
- Develop own skills and capabilities within Community Fundraising to achieve high performance, celebrating successes and promoting the RSPB’s values and positive culture at all times.
- Provide technical expertise and analysis of the external context within Community Fundraising products to ensure standards as well as priorities are developed in line with business need and industry trends.
- Contribute to the definition of and ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, organisational policy & frameworks and best practice fundraising standards within Community Fundraising.
- Responsibility for the management and operation of established Community Fundraising products and contribution to the delivery of new work.

Orchard Fundraising is actively seeking Client Leads to join our team. The role is to lead all activities for a set of clients (typically 4 or 5 in due course). You will be the main point of contact and manage the work supporting each charity. You will be responsible for delivering the agreed fundraising strategy, setting the plan and supervising others working for you in a matrix management system. At times, you will also need to be involved in application drafting for more complicated bids.
The role is fully remote, working from home, ideally between 20 and 32 hours per week and can be structured to accommodate your availability and aspirations. Work is highly flexible and could fit around other commitments and lifestyle, with periodic client and colleague meetings at mutually convenient times. Orchard Fundraising is proud of its highly personable approach and is adaptable to a wide range of working patterns. If your availability and needs are outside these parameters, we may still be able to accommodate the right candidates.
At least five years experience of charity fundraising is required, notably trusts and foundations, with expertise in one or more of HNWI, legacy, corporate, digital and individual giving an advantage. You are likely to have been in a senior and/or management role (or demonstrate the capabilities to develop the necessary skills). While no formal qualifications are needed, a Chartered Institute of Fundraising qualification or training would be preferable. Client Leads work as part of the wider Orchard Fundraising team, so there is always support, but it is necessary to be highly reliable, available for clients, a strategic thinker, able to remotely manage others and be highly self-sufficient. Having personal characteristics compatible with the company ethos is essential.
While Orchard Fundraising has clients throughout the UK, nearly all work is conducted remotely, and visits are rare. We have a concentration of clients in the South West and West Midlands, so living in (or knowledge of) these areas would be beneficial.
