We are looking for an experienced administrator and grant writer who is passionate about migrants’ rights and democratic reform to start working in March 2026.
We are looking for a part-time Operations and Fundraising Manager to support our Executive Director and staff team in the day to day operations of the organisation, including office tasks, support with reporting and fundraising, diary management and administrative support.

Migrant Democracy Project (MDP) is building migrant power in the UK. Contract
This is a fixed term contract for 12 months (with the possibility of extension depending on future grants), £37,000 pro rata (£22,200 per year), with an early March 2026 start. We are open to this being a PAYE or contractor (self-employed) position.

We are looking for an administrator who can work the equivalent of 3 days per week hours flexibly, adapting to the needs of the organisation. When work is carried out by any Migrant Democracy Project employee outside normal working hours, time off in lieu is applied.
Location and working hours
Migrant Democracy Project’s office is in Vauxhall, London. Staff have daily access to the office and the team co-works from there regularly. This role can be done remotely, however, we expect the role-holder to join the team in-person for strategy days which happen every few months.
This is part-time role at 0.6 FTE. Working days are flexible, equivalent to 3 days per week between Monday to Friday, as long as most of the hours match MDP’s usual working hours (9:30 am - 5:30 pm). The role holder can also have different working days on different weeks as long as that is communicated well in advance and noted in the team calendar.
The role is based in the UK and open to individuals with an existing right to work in the UK.
Responsibilities
We are looking for a strategic Operations and Fundraising Manager who can skillfully identify the organisational and team needs and can propose and implement solutions, ranging from project management tools, HR systems, and other systems tools. The ideal candidate will be scanning the horizon, ensuring the organisation has the appropriate policies and thinking long-term about its financial and organisational needs.
Lead the Operational Management of Migrant Democracy Project

Review existing operational policies and procedures, identify improvements and updates, and implement them to ensure the smooth running of Migrant Democracy Project.

Lead the development and implementation of operational infrastructure, including systems for project management to ensure efficient progress of the organisation’s objectives.

Ensure Migrant Democracy Project is in compliance with relevant policies, including data privacy, safeguarding, risk register, and others and support the team in implementing them.
Lead on People Management and Recruitment

Implement and manage all people and culture functions and internal processes including systems for leave, TOIL, employment contracts, and other identified needs.

Support the Executive Director with recruitment processes, such as job vacancy promotion, sifting application forms and booking interviews.

Ensure all members of staff, including consultants, have all their documents, including contracts and consultant agreements, up to date and that systems are in place to support the team to navigate probation and contract renewals.
Fundraising and Evaluation

Identify grant opportunities for the organisation, manage application deadlines and work with the staff team to support writing grants.

Maintain MDP’s grant database up to date and manage Google Drive grant documentation folders, including supporting the Executive Director to meet funders’ requirements such as quarterly reports.

Manage and track staff budget sheets for grants, working with the Finance Manager.

Support the Executive Director and all team members in writing progress reports to funders, both when required and proactive updates to all funders.

Implement an evaluation system to be able to measure and report on outputs required by each grant.

Liaise with MDP’s staff team to collect data for evaluation reports.
Lead on online systems for the team

Manage MDP’s Google Drive folders, ensuring information is up to date.

Manage staff access to shared workspaces and folders.

Manage staff accounts, such as creating new emails and managing permissions.

Manage MDP’s generic info inbox and direct queries to relevant staff where applicable.

Support the Executive Director with new staff onboarding and manage their Google Suite access.
Diary and Office Support

Support with booking rooms and team meetings as needed e.g. team Strategy Days.

Create a calendar of relevant MDP events for all staff and support the team’s long-term project planning.

Manage travel and accommodation booking for MDP staff members for required events.

Process all relevant office orders, such as printing, stationery and office equipment.

Regularly assess office needs and proactively ensure the stocks of MDP materials (such as leaflets, business cards, etc.) are appropriate.
Finance Support

Work with the Finance Manager to create budget templates and monitor them regularly.

Pay small invoices under £500 and process staff expense forms on a monthly basis.

Manage MDP’s invoice folders and create invoices from MDP’s templates when required.

Submit relevant invoices and receipts to Xero’s inbox.

Manage MDP’s Soldo account and top-up expense cards for staff as appropriate.
Qualifications
We are looking for an organised and efficient Operations and Fundraising Manager with the following essential skills:

At least three years of demonstrated experience of leading projects or teams, including managing multiple people and budgets

Demonstrable experience in fundraising, such as grant writing.

Excellent organisation skills, with extensive experience in project and program management, and a proven ability to plan, organise, and lead the implementation of plans and processes.

Experience of creating systems and organisational processes that are effective, efficient, and embed and socialise them with the team and key external partners.

Experience in project monitoring and evaluation.

Experience using Xero, Soldo or similar software for processing invoices and expenses.

The Relationship Fundraising team at Alzheimer’s Research UK (ARUK) is responsible for securing income from individuals, regional businesses and groups fundraising in the community, effectively managing relationships to maximise income.
The Relationship Fundraising role will play a significant part in contributing to a high-performing fundraising team. The role will cover area of West London.
You will report to the Relationship Fundraising Manager and support the Head of Relationship Fundraising & Volunteering to drive the continued growth of the charity’s fundraising income in your area. You will also be required to show excellent relationship-building skills to support community partnerships and volunteer groups, driving towards agreed targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy, finance, and reporting
· Responsibility for stewardship and relationship building with supporters within the region.
· Identify and apply for ‘Charity of the Year’ partnerships with corporates in the region, account manage these relationships up to a value of £50,000 per annum and support the Partnership Development Team with national partnerships in your region.
· Support existing volunteer fundraisers to encourage continued loyalty to the charity and to maximise funds raised, in accordance with fundraising legislation and good practice.
· Recruit new fundraising supporters in line with strategy.
· Support the Relationship Fundraising Manager (RFM) and Head of Relationship Fundraising (HORF) in developing the Relationship Fundraising strategy for ARUK to increase income within this stream.
· Support and extend volunteer networks within geographical area in line with strategy.
· To ensure that fundraising activity is implemented and managed to deliver budgets, targets and income in line with strategy. To achieve this by supporting and facilitating the development of groups and volunteers across geographical area.
· Work across a diverse geographical area and within a geographically dispersed team, whilst managing own workload in a cost-effective and proactive way.
Supporter Management
· Provide excellent customer service to fundraising supporters, with prompt responses to enquiries, to acknowledge support and increase long-term loyalty.
· Provide high-quality account management to volunteer groups in geographical area.
· Effective management of volunteer relationships within geographical area.
· Support, motivate and develop local fundraising volunteers, ensuring they have a clear understanding of ARUK to enable them to represent the charity’s work effectively.
· In liaison with the Partnership Development Managers and Partnership Officers, provide high quality account management to corporate supporters within specified geographical area and/or of relevant value.
· Keep up to date with fundraising legislation and codes of practice to be able to provide relevant advice to fundraisers.
· Ensure volunteers and fundraisers have all necessary materials for fundraising initiatives.
Increasing Community Support within geographical area
· Use own initiative to extend volunteer networks, develop new groups and supporters, and respond to fundraising opportunities within geographical area, in line with strategy.
· Manage recruitment process of new ARUK volunteers in geographical area, providing relevant support and training.
· Liaise with local community organisations (predominantly golf clubs) – both previous and new potential supporters – to extend income and activity in line with strategy.
· Provide face-to-face talks and presentations to community organisations for recruitment/ cultivation purposes.
· Arrange appropriate volunteer representation at events in the community, spreading the charity’s reach cost-effectively.
· Identify, research and target prospective community organisations, in liaison with RFM.
· Identify, research and target prospective local corporates in liaison with RFM / HORF and ARUK’s Partnership Development Managers and Partnership Development Officers, in line with strategy.
· Accurately track and record contact with both community and corporate prospects for planning and reporting purposes.
Monitoring and Reporting
· Ensure that your activity is monitored and evaluated, clearly communicating progress to your Relationship Fundraising Manager.
· Manage relevant information on the charity’s database, keeping detailed, up-to-date records of activity and income.

Key responsibilities
Trusts & Foundations

We are recruiting for a Fundraising Development Manager to join on a full-time basis, working 35 hours per week. This is a fixed-term, maternity cover contract for 12 months with an ideal start date in April 2026. This is a home-based role, though you will be required to occasionally travel into London (once a month maximum).
As Fundraising Development Manager, your role will be vital to the success of Alzheimer’s Society’s fundraising and engagement activities which are led and supported by our Development boards. You will play an important part in the delivery of our Insurance United Against Dementia (IUAD) campaign, a movement in partnership with senior level supporters from the insurance industry. This award-winning campaign has raise £12million to date and set a target to reach £20million by 2030 to fund projects that will accelerate progress towards beating dementia - while helping raise awareness of Alzheimer’s Society and increase understanding of the UK’s biggest killer.
You will be responsible for securing and maximising income from multiple channels, including our annual flagship industry fundraising event – Insurance Day for Dementia. You will support individual and team high value fundraising challenges, and lead communications activity with these influential supporters and their sector, utilising relationships with industry media and tools including LinkedIn.
To achieve success, you will manage relationships with insurance industry professionals at the highest levels. You will also support (where required) on activities through Sport United Against Dementia (SUAD), our comparable campaign led by some of the most senior figures in the world of sport. This may include developing tools for industry supporters and activities or supporting activation opportunities at exciting sporting events. Ultimately, this role will give you the chance to use your skills to deliver meaningful impact on the lives of people affected by dementia.

About you
Joining us, you will have experience of working in a high-value fundraising team or equivalent environment, with a track record of meeting and exceeding financial and KPI targets. You’ll have experience of successfully overseeing projects or managing events from start to finish.
Crucially, you’ll have proven experience of managing and forming trusted relationships with senior stakeholders. You’ll be able to use your communication skills and your experience of writing external communications to gain support through written proposals and in face-to-face meetings.
