We are seeking an experienced fundraiser with a passion for our mission to equip our organisation with the financial resources needed to meet our objectives as we work to scale our fundraising by growing our charitable income across all funding streams, maximising supporter engagement and fulfilling fundraising operational duties such as ensuring that we have a database that is organised, up to date and fit for purpose.
This is a new role, joining a small but growing Fundraising Team, and having a real input into our plans and strategies for the future. Reporting to the CEO, the successful candidate will oversee most fundraising income generation activity.
The Fundraising Manager will build positive relationships to secure significant income and develop new relationships specifically with churches and individuals, bringing in regular and targeted income through regular donations, fundraising campaigns and events. The ideal candidate will have fundraising experience covering several areas including Individual Giving; Churches, Fundraising Appeals/Campaigns as well as experience in managing the operational aspects of fundraising (database, compliance with codes of practice and fundraising regulations, creating fundraising campaigns and ‘asks’). Through this, you will assist the whole organisation in our commitment to showing kindness, raising self-belief, and inspiring hope for the future in the individuals we serve.
Main duties and responsibilities
Fundraising Overview
1. Develop, deliver, and monitor a fundraising strategy for Pecan.
2. Maximise the contributions and connections with local churches and individuals.
3. Coordinate all Appeals including the Pecan and Foodbank Christmas fundraising campaigns and Big Give Campaigns across all income and media streams.
4. Research and utilise new fundraising streams and opportunities across Pecan such as Payroll Giving, Legacies, in Memory Giving and Online Giving.
Supporter Engagement and Stewardship
1. Establish systems, procedures, proactive stewardship, and an engagement programme to provide the highest levels of service to Pecan’s supporters.
2. To be responsible for thanking all supporters and managing a supporter engagement journey – ensuring that effective processes are in place and driving levels of satisfaction and loyalty.
3. Act as the ‘first point of call’ for all supporters and managing complaints and issues, ensuring they are reported centrally within agreed procedures, that they are resolved or escalated as necessary and maintaining excellent communication with supporters throughout these processes.
4. Develop and implement stewardship programmes including reactivation of lapsed donors.
Database Management
1. Assist with setting up our CRM database with responsibility of developing and maintaining the database, ensuring efficient, appropriate data capture and analysis for the purpose of effective stewardship, fundraising and communications.
2. Maintain data management standards, assisting with the implementation of processes and policies ensuring best practice is followed.
3. Train other staff members to be able to use the database sufficiently.
4. Ensure all records, fundraising data and fundraising administration is kept up to date and all information is GDPR-compliant.
5. Reconcile fundraising income with the Finance Manager, including Gift Aid claims, missed, failed payments and Direct Debit cancellations.
Individual Giving
1. Develop an Individual Giving and Acquisition strategy that drives growth for individual giving across multi-channel campaigns and initiatives.
2. Lead all individual giving streams such as direct mail appeals, online donations, regular campaigns and appeals to maximise income generation.
3. Work with the Marketing Manager on fundraising communication and to ensure donors are kept up to date on the difference their support makes.
4. Develop campaigns and messaging that engages new segments and audiences.
Church Giving
1. Inspire churches to journey with us as we transform lives in Peckham.
2. Pioneer and develop a broad range of relationships with churches, organisations, and denominations across Southwark.
3. Work strategically with denominations to inspire partnership and engagement with Pecan across their networks and congregations.
4. Build a team of speakers who will host and speak at meetings with churches and Christian networks in Southwark.
5. Be willing to represent Pecan at external events, including Christian exhibitions and festivals, church talks etc…
6. Increase income from churches.
Fundraising Appeals and Campaigns
1. Work alongside teams and Partnerships Manager to project manage fundraising appeals and campaigns including Pecan at 35yrs; Christmas Campaigns etc.
2. Overall responsibility for Big Give Campaigns.
3. Oversight of Enthuse campaign pages.
4. Establish a corporate fundraising strategy with an accompanying narrative, alongside the Partnerships Manager, to explain the work of Pecan to potential company supporters.
5. Tailor campaigns and appeals for different audiences and supporters alongside Partnerships Manager to target corporates; smaller local businesses; individuals and churches.
Staff and Volunteers
1. Support with recruiting fundraising volunteers as appropiate.
2. Management of a part time Partnerships Manager with responsibility.
3. Work closely with Head of Services and Head of Food Services to ensure all fundraising is coordinated.
Wider organisational responsibilities
· Attend Pecan team meetings as and when required, including meetings where there may be a time of prayer and reflection.
· Read and adhere to all policies and procedures.
· Lead on applications to charitable trusts or statutory bodies with support from the Head of Services.
· Undertake responsibilities associated with being a member of the Pecan team.
· Perform all the duties required by the post in line with Pecan’s ethos and values statement, its commitment to a policy of equal opportunity and its aim of serving the community in a caring and practical manner.
· Carry out other duties as agreed by the Chief Executive Officer.
· In agreement with your line manager, pursue a personal programme of learning and development to enhance your skills and performance.
Salford Foodbank provides emergency food parcels to local people who are referred to us in crisis. Food is donated, sorted and packed at our warehouse, then delivered to our 7 centres across Salford, where teams of volunteers greet people as they pick up their food parcels. People can also access support and advice at our centres to help them maximise their income and ensure they are less likely to need to use the foodbank again.
You’ll be joining a friendly team of 6 part-time staff, 6 Trustees and approx. 80 volunteers, all dedicated to supporting people facing hardship. We are part of The Trussell Trust, a nationwide network of foodbanks.
Rate of pay: £21,000 per annum for 22.5 hours per week (£35,000 FTE pro-rata)
Full-time / part-time: Part time role 22.5 hours per week (flexible, home based within the North West with some contact hours at Salford Foodbank warehouse/office)
Temporary / permanent: Fixed term contract role for 18 months, with opportunity to extend based on funding
- This is an exciting opportunity to join Salford Foodbank in a new role, accountable to the Foodbank Manager and the board of trustees. As the need for Foodbank services continues to grow Salford Foodbank has developed and expanded. The staff and volunteer team have increased, and we have embarked on new projects to support those that use the Foodbank.
- In order to maintain our current services and further develop, we need to grow our annual fundraised income.
- Through this new organisational role, you’ll proactively create and grow fundraising income, reach, and support from grant giving trusts and foundations as well as corporate organisations across Salford and Greater Manchester.
- Through your fundraising expertise, you will have a proven track record of growing income and building relationships with trusts and foundations as well as corporate partners to achieve and exceed annual income targets and KPI’s. You’ll have the capacity to create and craft compelling funding proposals that successfully engage and attract donations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Through excellent, comprehensive and considered research, you’ll identify and prioritise a pool of potential grant giving trusts and foundations funders for Salford Foodbank. You’ll forge relationships with those funders, develop and submit timely and winning funding applications.
- You’ll manage the ongoing relationships with grant giving trusts and foundations funders, ensuring they receive excellent stewardship, timely reporting and doing all you can maximising potential for further funding
- You’ll proactively identify, engage and build good relationships with prospective corporate donors, successfully securing them as funding partners. Alongside this you’ll deepen engagement and grow our relationships and partnerships with existing corporate donors.
- Working with colleagues across Salford Foodbank, you’ll develop authentic, compelling, creative and winning funding and partnership proposals that can successfully engage grant giving trusts, foundations and corporate partners and that can successfully align our vision and work with their needs, motivations, areas of interests and values.
- You’ll research potential funding opportunities from the local council and local authorities.
- You will develop, monitor and manage a fundraising portfolio. You’ll establish a fundraising pipeline, including a range of KPI’s that can be tracked and that will enable you to make informed projections regarding future income.
- You’ll work collaboratively with other Trussell Trust food banks across the Greater Manchester area, identifying and progressing opportunities for joint funding proposals and partnerships.
- You’ll forge strong relationships with colleagues across the wider Trussell Trust network, sharing best practice and learning from other charities across the network. You’ll proactively take advantage of any fundraising training and skills development opportunities and engage with any joint fundraising opportunities.
- You’ll be willing to carry out other reasonable duties contributing to the overall aims of the Foodbank.
Skills
- You’ll have good, established experience of trusts and foundations fundraising as well as corporate partnerships fundraising.

Smart Works Reading exists to empower all women who need help getting into work. We aim to support 1000 clients with our Interview and Preparation service per year. We are seeking a Fundraising and Partnerships Manager to join our small and ambitious team. The successful candidate will build a strong pipeline of grant funders, gifts from Trusts & Foundations, and corporate donations, incorporating both core and restricted funding.
The successful candidate will report directly into our Board of Trustees, and work alongside our small staff team, with the objective of maximizing local funding opportunities, expanding our portfolio of grant funders and corporate donations, and attendant relationships, and contributing to a growth in income for the charity. The successful candidate will be responsible for researching and identifying prospective funders and corporate partners, writing and submitting high-quality applications and proposals, and delivering excellent grant management, donation and stewardship updates. They will also work closely with the Events Trustees to deliver an exciting calendar of corporate and community fundraising events, and lead our annual sport challenge, Cycle for Smart Works.
We are seeking a proactive self-starter, with experience in philanthropic fundraising and relationship management, excellent written communication skills and demonstrable attention to detail. Duties and responsibilities
- Building excellent relationships and networking with corporate and community partners, generating awareness and income of minimum £165k for the centre across grants, events and corporate fundraising.
- Maintain database with relevant income tracking and pipeline data to facilitate regular KPI and financial reporting to the Board of Trustees.
- Lead our annual signature corporate challenge - Cycle for Smart Works - to target income c. £25k, including managing the project locally from planning to delivery, identifying and onboarding corporate and community participant teams and stewardship of the programme.
- Securing one-year and multi-year grants from a range of Trusts and Foundations, including traditional grant funders, local charities, family foundations and corporate foundations to meet income targets c. 100k.
- Researching and identifying prospective grant funders, and corporates, donors and individuals who could support Smart Works Reading, and building and maintaining long-term relationships.
- Writing high-quality grant applications, working collaboratively with the Chair of the Board and staff team to deliver creative and compelling proposals for both core and restricted funding.
- Maintaining strong relationships with current and prospective funders, including the preparation of impact reports and sharing regular updates on grant management.
- Maintaining an accurate data record of pledged, banked and prospective income for the Reading centre, working in collaboration with Smart Works Charity to maintain local management accounts.
- Representing Smart Works Reading to a diverse range of stakeholders and audiences to generate income and raise brand awareness within the local community.
- Support the Events Trustee with stewardship of fashion and retail partners, including venue and catering supporters, as well as our corporate partners supporting the charity.
- Support the delivery of our signature fundraising events, including high-end supporter events and fashion sales, where the Events Trustee manages the project from concept to execution and ensures income targets are met.
- Developing and implementing new initiatives to raise funds for the charity, for example, Fashion Club, following other centre’s initiatives.
Personal specification
Essential Criteria
- Experience generating income of at least five figures from philanthropic income. Demonstrable experience securing corporate partnerships.
- Experience in cultivating strong and positive relationships, both internally and externally, with multiple and senior stakeholders.
- Presentation skills, to prospective partners and able to tell the Smart Works story.
- Experience working with grant applications and/or funding proposals, presentations, and utilising arrange of tools to identify new funding opportunities.
- Excellent written communication skills and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to prepare high-quality funding proposals and reports for different audiences.
- Target driven with excellent organisation and time management capabilities, demonstrating an ability to prioritise and work to deadlines.
- Creative and proactive approach to problem-solving, with an entrepreneurial attitude towards fundraising strategy.

This is an exciting opportunity to help Cambridge City Food Bank realise it’s vision of ending the need for foodbanks, through an ambitious strategy creating a network of affordable food clubs, financial inclusion projects, and campaigning to change current systems which contribute to food insecurity – and working alongside it’s eight existing foodbank welcome centres.
In order to realise this ambition, we need to establish a new programme of fundraising growth, that can increase our annual income from circa £700K to in excess of £1M.
Through this new organisational role, you’ll proactively create and grow fundraising income opportunities with individuals, corporate partners, granting giving trusts and foundations, and community groups. Main Duties:

● Work with and support external consultants and colleagues across CCFb and the wider Trussell Trust networks to help secure fundraising partnerships and income from grant giving trusts and foundations.
● Develop, monitor and manage a fundraising portfolio capable of generating in excess of £1M per annum. You’ll establish a fundraising pipeline, including a range of KPI’s that can be tracked and that will enable you to make informed projections regarding future income.
● Forge strong relationships with colleagues across the wider Trussell Trust network, sharing best practice and learning from other charities across the network. As the Fundraising Partnerships Manager you will be responsible for delivering and managing strategic partnerships between corporate partners and the Harlequins Foundation, building strong relationships with a focus on maximising income and raising awareness of the Foundation’s purpose.
The Harlequins Foundation is the charitable arm of the Club, delivering programmes in our communities that primarily support young people to develop the Essential Skills, enabling success on and off the pitch.

Key responsibilities
- Support the development and delivery of a varied portfolio of partnership activities to meet agreed objectives, all of which reflect the spirit of the Harlequins Foundation

Qualifications and experience
- Educated to degree level or demonstrable equivalent experience

Job Description
Whilst we imagine this job to be split roughly 50:50 between partnership management and fundraising, the truth is that we’re a small team and we all pitch in beyond our job descriptions. Everyone here has good ideas, insight and can offer support in all aspects of our work in some way or another.
Partnerships management:
1. NURTURE RELATIONSHIPS WITH OUR PARTNERS: Manage and foster excellent relationships with our long-term partners supporting our conservation work in Indonesian Borneo, including NGOs, zoos, corporates and other organisations; extend thanks and provide resources and advice to support them with their activities.
2. SHOUT ABOUT CLIMATE CONSERVATION: Report progress on our conservation work in Indonesian Borneo to long-term partners by drafting high-quality reports in close collaboration and support to our Grants Officer.
Fundraising:
3. SECURE FUNDING TO DO GOOD: Support the development and expansion of BNF International’s fundraising activities by identifying and securing new opportunities and
partnerships, participating in the BNF Global Outreach Team working groups and supporting the Marketing and Fundraising Manager.
4.FUNDRAISE FOR OUR 1 MILLION TREES CAMPAIGN: develop opportunities for the BNF 1 Million Trees Campaign and further reforestation campaigns by identifying dedicated habitat restoration and tree-planting donors globally; introducing our project and establishing partnerships, bringing directors into the conversation as necessary, and managing relationships with donors in the long term.
5. COLLABORATE: Identify and follow-up on new fundraising opportunities which BNF can set up or take part in to widen our reach and encourage members of the public to support or fundraise for BNF, for example by way of BNF-led challenges, charity places in sponsored events, online fundraising and other means of raising funds and awareness.
6.REPRESENT US: Occasionally attend external events to support partnership development and individual giving fundraising.
General:
7.Provide general support across the BNF International organisation and wider BNF family, to all staff and volunteers, to help ensure the efficient, effective and successful running of our activities; and to provide advice and insight to enhance the effectiveness and impact of BNF International.
Please have all or some of the following skills and experience:
-Educated at degree or master’s level in a conservation or related scientific area.

The latest research suggesting that the number of children and young people at risk of hunger has rocketed to three million means that one in five children don't have enough to eat.
When a child is too hungry to learn, when they’re aching for something to eat, they can’t concentrate. They can’t absorb information. Big feelings and worries can be impossible to control. They fall behind in their studies.
Magic Breakfast provide a nutritious and filling breakfast to over 200,000 children and young people every school day. We work with schools in areas of high disadvantage, helping staff target the children most in need without barrier or stigma.
Magic Breakfast are ambitious to grow our impact in order to remove hunger as a barrier to learning for all children and young people in the UK. To do this, we need to continue to grow our fundraised income, of which new corporate income is a significant element.
JOB INFORMATION

Main purpose of post
To build a high-performing fundraising team to drive and stabilise significantly increased fundraising performance across a range of income streams. · Champion fundraising across the organisation.

· Foster a culture of ambition and innovation and support the team to research, develop, and implement new fundraising approaches to recruit new donor groups across all income streams.
· Drive change and implement new ways of working across fundraising and the wider organisation in support of fundraising effectiveness.
· Manage relationships with key supporters and stakeholders and attend meetings and networking events to unlock new opportunities.
· Strengthen and build on existing supporter relationships, ensuring that all supporters receive a first-class experience.
· Support the team to develop professional and engaging fundraising materials including fundraising propositions, applications, proposals, appeals, pitches, and reports.
· Take overall responsibility for fundraising compliance and ensure that in all relevant areas, the charity complies with the law, regulation, and stakeholder and contractual obligations with third parties.
· Collaborate with the Data Manager to maintain oversight of the supporter database to ensure integrity, legal compliance, and generation of appropriate insight to support delivery of income growth.·
Fundraising Development
· Work with the Head of Strategic Partnerships and Development, external advisor(s), commissioned agencies and the appeal committee to deliver a multi-year major fundraising appeal
· Work with the Legacy and In Memory Fundraising Manger to deliver and implement a legacy pipeline and growth in In-Memory giving income
· Work with the Individual Giving Fundraising Manager to deliver and implement a strategy which prioritises both the retention and acquisition of new donors, enhances the use of digital products, platforms, and channels and delivers the highest standard of supporter care and donor stewardship.
· Lead on the introduction of a charity lottery.
· Work with relevant colleagues to deliver a new strategy and plan which prioritises deepening and strengthening existing relationships and building a strong pipeline of new prospects to deliver multi-year funding from major donors, high profile supporters, trusts, foundations, and companies.
· Support the Data Manager with the adoption and use of Raisers Edge NXT CRM to effectively support data-driven decision making and relationship management to generate supporter insights in support of increased fundraising.
Brand and Marketing
· Working in collaboration with the Deputy CEO, Marketing Manager and external agencies in the development and delivery of an integrated marketing and communications strategy that is driven by audience insight.
· Foster a strong working relationship between the fundraising and marketing team to inspire high-performance and results-oriented marketing to build a community of supporters by delivering a seamless supporter journey that promotes the charity’s work and delivers greater income generation.
· Empower the fundraising team to successfully deploy our brand.
· Work in partnership with the Marketing Manager to ensure content is up to date, factually accurate and to manage reputational risk.·
People Management
· Create a high-performing team that is ambitious and passionate about Weston Park Cancer Charity’s vision.
· Provide line management to direct reports, setting, and monitoring individual performance objectives and motivating the team to be innovative and professional in its thinking and delivery.

About the role
The Corporate Partnerships Manager role is responsible for delivery across the breadth of the partnerships pipeline. An estimated 50% of the role will be devoted to new business development, including prospect identification, and shaping and delivering pitches and proposals to corporates and their foundations to meet fundraising targets. The remaining 50% of partnership work will be dedicated to delivering an excellent standard of partnership management to several longstanding existing supporters, working creatively to identify and develop opportunities to maximise their impact.
As our corporate supporters can be powerful partners in the delivery of our advocacy and communications goals you will be confident working with colleagues internally to translate campaign plans into engagement opportunities for private sector partners. You will also be able to co-ordinate colleagues to meet new business deadlines and to ensure agreed partnership deliverables are achieved.
This role sits within our Philanthropy and Partnerships team of five, who focus on income generation through grants, philanthropy, corporate partnerships and individual giving and fundraising. The post holder will work particularly closely with the Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships, as well as equipping Directors and our CEO to engage corporate partners and prospects where appropriate. As a member of a comparatively small, highly ambitious team, there may, with time, be opportunities for the post holder to extend their experience beyond corporate partnerships, into other fundraising areas, should your skill set meet an identified need.
About you
You may be an established corporate fundraiser seeking a role where you can take on greater responsibility for managing your own pipeline of prospects and key partnerships. Equally you may come from outside the sector and be able to offer clearly transferable experience of securing and developing partnerships (especially those with a “purpose” focus).
Whatever your background you will be a self-starter who is highly motivated and excited by the opportunity to think creatively about corporate partnerships that can enable Malaria No More UK’s unique advocacy and campaigning offer, with a clear goal to ending one of the world’s most significant and oldest killer diseases.
You will also be able to demonstrate the good organisation needed for successful partnership management, and the attention to detail and strong communication skills needs to build relationships and prepare and deliver funding proposals and pitches.
