We’re looking for a Legacy Campaign Manager, who will be responsible for delivering multiple legacy products, with a particular focus on delivering a first-class stewardship programme to our loyal supporters. 

What does this role involve?
As Legacy Campaign Manager, you will:

• work closely with external agencies to deliver key legacy products, including gifts in wills, In Memoriam gifts and our Canine Care Card,
• collaborate with other teams in the Individual Giving directorate to deliver an excellent supporter journey to all those who donate, from handling individual responses to delivering stewardship events,
• creatively bring our brand message to life, helping supporters understand the impact of their loyalty,
• monitor and analyse outcomes from projects, being on the ball and proactively identifying ways to improve and accelerate supporter experiences.

Interviews for this role are provisionally scheduled for week commencing 6th July 2026 and will take place on Teams.

Could this be you?
To be successful in this role, you’ll need some fundraising experience, ideally with experience in legacy or in memory donations. You’ll be an excellent written and verbal communicator, combined with strong emotional intelligence to discuss legacy sensitively. You’ll have strong IT skills, as well as some experience of working with a CRM. A commitment to the aims and objectives of Dogs Trust is essential.

Job Purpose:

The Marketing & Fundraising Manager will play a key role in developing and implementing St Hilda’s East’s marketing strategy and will take the lead in organising fundraising events and securing funds from individual donations, and rental and room hire income.

They will lead on communications with external stakeholders through the development and implementation of SHE’s marketing plans and social media strategy. There will be a particular focus on strengthening our unique link with the Guild (alumnae) of Cheltenham Ladies’ College, as well as with parents and pupils of the school – to raise awareness of the impact of St. Hilda’s East and to organise joint events. The postholder will work alongside freelance fundraisers who focus on maximising grant income.

It is not essential to have experience in the non-profit sector; we would love to hear from you if you have experience in sales and marketing in a commercial environment and are looking to bring your talents to the charity sector.

This role will manage a diverse portfolio spanning across multiple income streams - consisting of Glass Door flagship annual events, community fundraising, challenge events, school, church and local business giving. Strategy:

We are seeking an energetic, insightful and creative fundraiser who has the confidence to take on a diverse portfolio and will have demonstrable experience at manager level within one or more of these core areas: events, community or corporate fundraising. Knowledge & Experience 

• Proven experience and demonstrable success in community fundraising at manager level; securing income from a range of fundraising streams and delivering a range of activities. 

• Experience managing complex events delivering six-figure income targets

• Up to date knowledge of the regulatory regime around fundraising and data protection.

About the role

City Harvest relies on voluntary income to raise £4.2 million each year, with corporate partnerships contributing around 30% of total income. The Community and Event Fundraising Manager is accountable for developing and implementing an ambitious community and event fundraising programme by building relationships and converting supporter enthusiasm into action. The WaterAid Legacy Management Team is part of the wider Legacy and In Memory Team, who sit within Mass Engagement. Legacies account for 27% of total income and is the fastest growing income stream in Mass Engagement. The Legacy Management Team is responsible for all aspects of legacy case management, legacy income reporting and forecasting.

About the role

As our Legacy Manager, you will bring your skills and expertise in managing various types of legacy case files to ensure the legacies WaterAid receives are carefully managed, working closely with both personal and professional executors to ensure our supporter’s final wishes are carried out.

In this role, you will:

• Effectively manage a mixed caseload of residuary, reversionary and discretionary cases, to include some complex and contentious cases.  
• Develop strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including both professional and personal executors, to ensure cases are managed in an effective but sensitive manner.
• Support on development of annual income forecast, reforecast and legacy pipeline.
• Work closely with team members to share ideas and identify opportunities to streamline ways of working and improve efficiency.
• Champion WaterAid’s commitment to equity, inclusion and safeguarding.

Requirements

To be successful, you will need:

• Recognised legacy management qualification such as the Institute of Legacy Management Certificate in Legacy Administration (CICLA) or qualified private client solicitor with relevant experience.

• Proven experience of working in a similar charity and/or legal probate role.

• Good understanding of Probate and Trust Law, particularly income tax, inheritance tax and capital gains tax, and knowledge of relevant Charity Law legislation.

•  Proven ability to make decisions quickly and confidently, using initiative and judgement

About us

Legacies account for over two thirds of the RNLI’s annual income today and will continue to be a vital fundraising stream for many years to come. Our stewardship offering is evolving. Creating meaningful and personal connections with those who choose to support us with a gift in their Will is what can set us apart from others.

In this role, working alongside your peer, you’ll be responsible for leading and inspiring our Engagement team, with a particular focus on how we steward and grow high-value legacy relationships. We’re looking for an experienced Philanthropy Manager to join our small, ambitious team and help secure the funding that makes our work possible.

Our Philanthropy team builds meaningful relationships with supporters, particularly charitable trusts and foundations, to secure a significant proportion of Future Frontiers’ income. We have a strong case for support, a track record of securing trusts and foundations funding, and an exciting pipeline of opportunities. We’re now looking to build on this success as we continue to grow our philanthropy income. 

Reporting to the Head of Philanthropy, you’ll identify prospective funders, manage relationships with charitable trusts and foundations, and craft compelling funding proposals and reports that bring our impact to life. 

This role requires exceptional writing skills, meticulous attention to detail and the ability to communicate information clearly, accurately and persuasively. You’ll need to be highly organised, proactive and confident managing multiple deadlines, while producing consistently high-quality work.

We’re looking for someone with strong trusts and foundations fundraising experience who can combine outstanding written communication with excellent relationship-building skills.

Your responsibilities:

Write funding applications and reports 

You’ll lead on developing high-quality funding applications, reports and proposals for charitable trusts and foundations that make a compelling case for support and bring our impact to life.

This will include translating complex programme and impact information into clear, engaging and persuasive written communications tailored to each funder’s interests and priorities.

Exceptional writing skills and meticulous attention to detail are essential. You’ll ensure all applications and reports are accurate, well-structured, tailored and submitted to a consistently high standard.

You’ll work closely with colleagues across the organisation to gather information, outcomes and stories that reflect the impact of our programmes.

Manage relationships with trusts and foundations

You’ll help build and manage strong relationships with charitable trusts and foundations through thoughtful stewardship, high-quality communications and proactive engagement.

With support from the Head of Philanthropy, you’ll identify opportunities to secure renewed and increased support, helping grow long-term partnerships with funders.

You’ll also act as an ambassador for Future Frontiers, creating opportunities for supporters to engage more deeply with our work.

Identify new funding opportunities 

You’ll proactively identify charitable trusts and foundations with the potential to support Future Frontiers. Through research and collaboration with colleagues across the organisation, you’ll help build a strong pipeline of prospective funders and develop tailored approaches for engagement.

Gather case studies and impact stories

You’ll help collect pupil case studies and testimonials that bring the impact of our programmes to life.

Support wider voluntary income and engagement opportunities

You’ll work with colleagues across the organisation to support wider voluntary income and engagement opportunities where appropriate. This could include supporter engagement activity, charitable giving from businesses and other opportunities that help grow Future Frontiers’ network and income.

Keep accurate and detailed records 

You’ll ensure all philanthropy activity is recorded promptly and accurately, helping us manage relationships, reporting deadlines and fundraising activity effectively. You’ll support the team’s efficiency by keeping organised records and helping manage key administrative processes.

You’ll also ensure we meet data protection and fundraising regulations, including GDPR and the Code of Fundraising Practice.

Contribute to wider organisational priorities

- Experience independently securing high four-figure or ideally five-figure grants from charitable trusts and foundations, including developing successful funding applications and reports.

- Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to communicate information clearly, accurately and persuasively for different audiences.

- Meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to produce consistently high-quality work while managing multiple deadlines independently.

- Experience identifying and researching prospective funders and helping to develop funding pipelines.

Who are The Outrunners?

The Outrunners are a running and movement charity based in Hackney, on a mission to empower young people through movement. Backed by an incredible crew of volunteers and partner brands like Nike and Moju, we help young people in East London to build confidence, wellbeing, health and leadership skills.

We deliver free, fun, sociable, youth‑led running and movement sessions for 8–18 year olds every week - during term time and holidays. But we’re about more than just running. We create space for young people to explore creativity and culture, go on exciting trips, access wraparound wellbeing support, and develop the skills and opportunities they need to shape the futures they want.

Over the past five years, we’ve supported thousands of young people and helped push greater diversity within the running world.

Our achievements

We’re a small charity but we pack a mighty punch. Our income has grown year-on-year since we became a charity 6 years ago -  allowing us to expand our core team and move into office premises large enough to incorporate a Youth Hub. Last year we worked with over 1,150 young people through our school and communities programs, and this year we’re looking to expand our work even further!

To give you a sense of the kinds of work that we do, over the last year we have:

• Hosted a free Girls’ Festival for 100+ ethnically diverse young girls, allowing them to try running sessions, creative classes and yoga experiences in a safe and empowering environment.

• Hosted free training academies for ethnically diverse women and young people aged 16-21 to train for their very first half or full marathons! We offered physical, emotional and logistical support throughout their training journey and cheered on every single one of them as they ran either the Hackney Half or the London Marathon under the Outrunners name. Since programme launch, we have worked with over 250 people in our Academies.

• Took diverse groups of young people to races and events, such as Hackney School run and Black to the Trails. 

• Offered personalised mentoring to several of our young people who were struggling with school or life.

• Expanded the career horizons of young people by offering them a free work experience opportunity with our partner brands.

What do we want?

We are seeking an experienced fundraiser for a strategic and hands-on role who loves working in a small, ambitious charity and wants to help shape the next stage of growth at The Outrunners (current annual income circa £350k).

Reporting to the CEO, you will lead on income generation, with a primary focus on trusts and foundations, while growing a more diverse and sustainable income mix through corporate partnerships, community fundraising and individual giving.

  • Experience working with or supporting programmes for girls and young women.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Fundraising Strategy & Income Growth (with Chief Executive)

• Develop and deliver a fundraising strategy aligned with The Outrunners’ strategic goals and values.

• Grow and diversify income streams, with a focus on increasing unrestricted and sustainable income.

• Create and manage an annual fundraising workplan to deliver agreed income targets.

• Work closely with the Chief Executive on pipeline management, forecasting and income planning.

• Regularly review progress, learn from outcomes and adapt approaches as needed.

2. Trusts & Foundations (Primary Income Lead)

• Lead and manage a pipeline of trust and foundation applications, from prospect research to reporting.

• Research, cultivate and secure grants aligned to The Outrunners’ youth‑led movement work.

• Write high‑quality, compelling funding applications and reports.

• Work closely with youth programme staff to gather outcomes, case studies and impact data.

• Build strong, professional relationships with funders through excellent stewardship.

• Develop approaches that encourage funder renewal, uplift and long‑term support.

3. Corporate Partnerships (Growth area)

• Support the development of relationships with values‑aligned corporate partners and brands.

• Identify opportunities for corporate grants, sponsorship, employee fundraising, volunteering and matched funding.

• Shape clear and inspiring partnership pitches with cases for support that connect partner goals with youth wellbeing, movement and equity.

• Work with colleagues to ensure corporate partnerships are meaningful, well‑supported and mutually beneficial.

4. Community & Individual Giving (Growth area)

• Support the growth of The Outrunners’ individual giving base, including regular and mid‑level donors, working with CEO and Admin Lead.

• Develop donor stewardship approaches that support repeat and long‑term giving.

• Explore opportunities with local communities, supporter networks and high‑net‑worth individuals.

5. Impact, Systems & Compliance

• Work with our Admin Lead to maintain accurate records across fundraising and income tracking systems (CRM).

• Contribute fundraising content across our website, donor platforms and communications channels, working closely with Marketing & Comms.

• Support the creation of impact reports and case studies that reflect young people’s lived experience ethically and sensitively.

• Ensure compliance with fundraising regulation and best practice.

• Stay informed about sector trends and test new tools or approaches appropriate for a small charity.
