We’re looking for a Strategic Legacy Engagement Manager to lead our team of legacy stewardship specialists. This is a new role leading an established, home-based team working across the UK and Ireland. This team is key to building our long-term legacy income. It is responsible for stewarding our legacy pledgers, delivering a range of engagement events and embedding our legacy messaging within our community networks.
Your role
As the Strategic Legacy Engagement Manager, you’ll be focused on:
- Driving innovation and development of the wider legacy strategy as part of the legacy leadership team.
- Leading a team responsible for stewarding high-value individuals, growing our portfolio of legacy supporters and delivering our programme of legacy events.
- Collaboration and coordination with fundraising stakeholders across the organisation to deliver the legacy strategy in support of the wider fundraising strategy.

About you
You’ll be passionate about legacy stewardship and understand the importance of delivering exemplary supporter engagement experiences balanced with supporting business goals and outcomes.
More specifically, you’ll have:
- A proven track record and experience in relationship management or stewardship, ideally with high level legacy supporters.
- Experience in leading and motivating teams and building cultures that bring out the best in individuals.
- Confidence as a people manager, with experience of coaching and supporting others to develop and achieve results.
- Great communication skills, with extensive experience of effectively engaging with supporters and influencing stakeholders at all levels in a business.
- Strategic thinking, being someone who looks and plans ahead, with ability to identify appropriate change and to deliver it - while keeping your team and stakeholders engaged.

As our Individual Giving and Legacies Manager (Maternity Cover), you will play a central role in shaping Hospice UK’s supporter engagement and income generation. You will be at the heart of some of Hospice UK’s most important fundraising activity, supporting the National Legacy Campaign and working closely with colleagues across the organisation and external partners to deliver high-impact campaigns for local hospices. You will join a friendly, collaborative team of six within the wider Income Generation and Grants Directorate of 23. The Events and Supporter Engagement Team includes the Head of Events and Supporter Engagement, Events Fundraising Manager, Digital Fundraising and Engagement Executive, another Individual Giving and Legacies Manager, and two Supporter Engagement Officers. Together, we raise funds from individuals through events, digital campaigns, memorial and legacy giving, regular and payroll giving, and one-off donations. We also deliver a wide range of supporter engagement activities and oversee supporter communications and journeys.
To succeed as our Individual Giving and Legacies Manager, you will bring:
- Proven experience in legacy giving and individual giving environments
- Experience managing budgets and financial performance for fundraising activities

- Excellent IT skills, including CRM database use for segmentation and reporting

Purpose of Role
This is a new role at an exciting time of development within the philanthropy programme – it presents a great opportunity for you to contribute to our growth as we invest in the programme and work towards new and ambitious targets.
As our Philanthropy Manager, you will build and manage a healthy major donor portfolio to increase five and six figure income from individual donors and family trusts for Comic Relief.
With excellent relationship development skills and experience in securing major donations, you will increase support for our annual major campaigns, thematic funding, and our newly launched major giving product.
In a creative and dynamic organisation, you will devise and deliver a calendar of engaging and unique cultivation events and communications that reflect our brand and showcase the brilliant work of our funded partners.

Key responsibilities:
Portfolio Management

Monitor trends in the UK and global funding environment, specifically next generation donors, wealth advisors, intermediaries, and talent.
Network with peers and others in the major giving space including wealth and philanthropy advisors
Data management
Coordinate with the Prospect Research Manager to conduct ethical screening and due diligence.
Ensure consistency, integrity and accuracy of donor data in compliance with GDPR.

Essential criteria
Significant experience in securing five figure donations and managing a personal portfolio of major donors.

Endometriosis impacts the physical and mental health of 10% of women and those assigned female at birth, from puberty to menopause - although the impact may be felt for life. Yet it’s a disease most people have never heard of, do not understand and currently has no cure. It takes on average, almost nine years to receive a diagnosis in the UK, leaving many living in pain and without answers.
As the UK’s leading charity for all those affected by endometriosis, we’re determined to change this and ensure that everyone gets prompt diagnosis and the best treatment and support. We have big ambitions in new our strategy, focused on driving down diagnosis times, supporting those with endometriosis to live well, campaigning for improved treatments and access to services, raising awareness, and leveraging more money into research, all made possible thanks to the incredible efforts and generosity of our supporters. We are a growing charity, and our income has increased by 200% over the last 5 years enabling us to launch new services such as a Specialist Nurse Helpline and an online Symptom Checker tool. Last year, almost 70% of our income was from public donations and fundraising, which is incredible. Endometriosis UK is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Public Fundraising Manager to join our busy fundraising team and support our continued growth. You will line manage the Fundraising Administrator and the Stewardship and Supporter Care Officer, playing a key role in leading a friendly, ambitious team and delivering exciting plans to grow vital income.
With a strong focus on public fundraising, you will be confident managing projects across community fundraising, individual giving and legacies. You will be an experienced CRM user, up to date with fundraising regulations, and ideally bring at least two years’ experience in a fundraising management role, including line management. Thriving in a fast-paced environment, you will be motivated by results and have a proven track record of meeting income targets, underpinned by a strong commitment to excellent supporter care and stewardship.

About the role
The Public Fundraising Manager (Stewardship and Retention) is responsible for leading public fundraising programmes across retention campaigns, newsletters, community and events, legacy and in-memory giving. The postholder shapes and delivers multi-year supporter retention and growth strategies and budgets, ensuring sustainable income and engagement through cross selling of fundraising products. They provide expert advice on donor stewardship, manage complex workflows across multiple channels, provide expert advice on data management, analysis and reporting and ensure service quality and compliance with fundraising regulations.
Operating as a key Manager within Public Fundraising, the role balances stewardship with innovation, maximising lifetime supporter value and amplifying positive narratives about refugees.

The role of Membership and Fundraising Manager at Crystal Palace Park Trust offers an exciting opportunity for a creative and dynamic fundraising professional to join a young and ambitious charity at a pivotal moment in its development.

In September 2023, after 25 years of community campaigning, Crystal Palace Park Trust took over custodianship of this historic landscape and its unique venues via a 125-year lease from the London Borough of Bromley.
