Job Summary
Development Group generates philanthropic and sponsorship income to help us create a Natural History Museum for the future – investing in capital development, attaining vital acquisitions for the collection, transforming our galleries, developing innovative exhibitions and undertaking ground-breaking scientific research on issues that affect us all.
The Museum is looking for an ambitious and self-motivated individual for the role of Philanthropy Executive. Working alongside an approachable and highly successful Philanthropy team, reporting into the Senior Principal Gifts Manager, the role will support the development of our Principal giving programme (highest level funders of seven figure+). You will focus on the administration of the programme: preparing briefings, written correspondence, data base management and working closely with the Senior Principal Gifts Manager to create compelling proposals. Alongside supporting this, you will have your own portfolio of five to six figure funders and prospects and will need to maintain a high level of organisation and excellent communication to build both internal relationships and external relationships with donors and prospects.

Main Responsibilities
Fundraising
· Raise income in line with agreed personal targets and KPI’s, contributing to the Philanthropy team’s current annual income target of £7m+.
· Support the Senior Principal Gifts Manager in their management of seven-figure gifts.
· Establish strong cross-Museum relationships to develop programme ideas in line with funders’ interests and support the Senior Principal Gifts Manager to craft compelling cases for support.
· Support the Senior Principal Gifts Manager, Head of Philanthropy and Director of Development to plan and implement creative strategies to increase philanthropic gifts at the seven-figure gift level.
· Prepare written briefings for senior management for meetings with prospective donors as well as follow up documentation and correspondence.
· Ensure all required gift reporting is delivered to the highest standards, supporting the development of robust evaluation processes with colleagues where needed.
· Promote best practice in fundraising across the NHM.
Finance and Administration
· Ensure that Raisers Edge is updated regularly and in line with the requirements for each event or activity and work closely with key database managers to ensure records are kept up to date.
· Support the Senior Principal Gifts Manager, wider Philanthropy team and Director of Development, with meetings, visits and event organisation, including, supporting the delivery of events and writing briefings ahead of donor meetings.
· Support the Senior Principal Gifts Manager and Head of Philanthropy with Raiser’s Edge data- inputting and gift administration, including gift processing, acceptance and due diligence forms, ensuring full and timely records of all activity are kept on the database.
General
· Stay informed of key developments within the sector by monitoring government and third-sector policies and relevant publications.
· Attend evening and occasional weekend meetings and events, as required within the nature of the post.
· Assist with other duties that may be reasonably required.

Finance Manager
Advocacy After Fatal Domestic Abuse (AAFDA) was founded by Frank Mullane in memory of his sister Julia Pemberton and her son Will who were both killed by her ex-partner in 2003.
Each year, around 150 families lose a loved one to domestic homicide. The actual number of suicides as a result of domestic abuse remains unknown. AAFDA’s prime function is to provide families in England and Wales with specialist peer support and expert and specialist advocacy for the range of statutory reviews that will take place after domestic homicide.
As a growing charity, AAFDA is looking for an exceptional candidate to join our supportive team and lead our finance and resource management functions. The role will provide and manage the HR, administration and finance activities of the charity and sit within the Senior Leadership Team.

ROLE OVERVIEW
AAFDA (Advocacy After Fatal Domestic Abuse) is a growing Charity and to meet the demands of this growth, we are looking for a full time Finance and Resources Manager to join our team.
MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE
To work with the Board, CEO and Deputy CEO to ensure efficient and effective financial management, including setting and monitoring budgets, producing financial reports, and overseeing day to day financial management, including payroll and bookkeeping via Quickbooks, and providing advice and guidance, to inform the development and delivery of AAFDA’s strategy and business plan.
To work with the CEO and Deputy CEO to ensure that AAFDA meets its funder obligations, including reporting on time, gathering data from across the team and compiling reports for CEO/Deputy CEO sign off.
To work with Trustees and staff to ensure AAFDA fulfils its legal and regulatory requirements, including; coordinating the implementation of health and safety, GDPR and other policies and procedures; leading on human resources support; and overseeing office management and IT. Note that specialist HR advice and support and IT are provided to AAFDA by external contractors.
The role provides and manages the HR, administration and finance activities of the Charity and sits within the Senior Leadership Team.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
· Ensuring the day-to-day financial and accounting operations (Quickbooks) are delivered and maintained.
· Administering and managing Payroll, expenses, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, managing the bank including reconciliations and other financial management.
· Managing AAFDA’s budget planning, monitoring and review and year-end accounts processes.
· Meeting AAFDA’s funder reporting deadlines, including oversight of the compilation of information for the funder and the provision of financial reports.
· Supporting the development of AAFDA’s strategy and business plan including providing financial projections and conducting risk analysis as and when required.
· Ensuring effective day-to-day management of book-keeping and financial administration.
· Ensuring financial, payroll and data protection policies and procedures comply with relevant legislation/regulations, reflect best practice and are applied throughout AAFDA, reporting non-compliance to the CEO and/or Deputy CEO.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Finance:
· In conjunction with the Leadership team, undertake regular finance operational duties including;
- Preparation and setting of a three-year outline budget to accompany AAFDA’s three-year strategy.
- Preparation and setting of the annual budget.
- quarterly reviews – including cashflow and operational re-forecasts.
- Monthly management accounts and variance analysis.
· Prepare quarterly finance reports for the Board, including variance analysis, re-forecasts and ad-hoc reports, as necessary.
· Assist the third-party accountant with the preparation of year-end accounts.
· Manage and operate the internal finance and accounting systems and databases.
· Oversee delivery of payroll, through the use of third-party providers software and using the staff time management recording system.
· Manage all staff expense systems and ensure compliance with relevant AAFDA policies.
· Manage and operate a purchasing system and ensure appropriate levels of pre-expenditure financial authorisation are in place and followed and that suppliers are paid on a timely basis.
· Ensure that all receivables are billed and collected on a timely basis.
· Be the main contact with and management of, the day-to-day operations of the Charity’s banking arrangements, seeking secondary authorisations where required.
· Ensure compliance with HMRC, including monitoring VAT threshold, tax and gift aid, and undertake necessary returns where necessary.
· Commission specialist VAT and other financial advice as required and in conjunction with the Board and CEO/DCEO.
· Support and advise the Trustees, CEO, Deputy CEO and other Leadership Team colleagues with financial forecasting/planning, and allocation and funding of staff and other resources.
· Support Fundraising staff with preparing and managing grant applications and project budgets with the aim of ensuring a minimum of full-cost recovery and provide financial implementation data to enable the Charity to comply with any grant reporting obligations, including by creating and maintaining records of costs by grant received.
Effective Organisational Administration
· Oversee policy and procedure development and implementation, including safeguarding, data protection, Health and Safety, complaints, etc, in conjunction with other Leadership Team members.
· Conduct horizon scanning and recommend opportunities to revise policies and procedures to ensure legal/regulatory compliance and/or in line with best practice.
· Review, improve and ensure implementation of project management processes.
· Ensure appropriate equipment and infrastructure resources are in place for staff, volunteers and Trustees.
· Ensure insurance is in place for all activity and potential organisational risks.
· Continually improve and manage operational costs and budget.
· Collaborate with colleagues to ensure optimal use of the AAFDA customer relationship, case management, time recording, expense management and other operational systems.
Other
· To work with the Trustees, CEO/DCEO and staff to develop and implement the strategy and business plan.

Experience
Experience of the range of financial management and management accounting, including analysis and commentary.
Experience of audits, invoices, bank reconciliations, accounts payable and accounts receivable and budget preparation.

About CoppaFeel!
CoppaFeel! are the UK’s only youth focused breast cancer awareness charity, and we’re on a mission to get every 18-24 year old checking their chest. We educate people on the signs of breast cancer and encourage them to check their chests monthly, so that if they notice something unusual they are empowered to contact their GP and advocate for themselves.
We do this because when diagnosed early, breast cancer treatments are more effective and survival rates are higher. Early detection can save lives.

The Role
CoppaFeel! is looking for a Corporate Partnerships Executive to play an essential role in our Partnerships Team. This role is responsible for stewarding a portfolio of our ‘proudly supporting’ partnerships and supporting the Partnerships Team at CoppaFeel! to steward some of our most dedicated corporate partners. You will also be key as the first point of contact when enquiries arrive from our website or our corporate inbox and you will manage the stewardship and donor journey of these leads.
The Corporate Partnerships Executive will sit within the Partnerships Team as part of the Fundraising Directorate, and will work closely with the Corporate Partnerships Managers and the Senior Corporate Partnership Manager. This role will support the team with administration; such as sending invoices, writing thank you letters, sending out fundraising materials, and much more. This role also will be required to attend fundraising and partnership events to represent CoppaFeel!.
This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that you will attend the London office 2 days per week. You will be required to attend the office for quarterly team meetings, department meetings and in person training, we will provide plenty of notice for when you are required to be in for these purposes.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure all corporate enquiries receive timely acknowledgement and communication, putting donors on the right supporter journey
- Account manage some of our smaller partnerships throughout the year, and particularly during Breast Cancer Awareness Month
- Support the day-to-day administration of the partnerships team across both account management and new business workstreams
- Assist with delivery of our two largest partnerships as needed, Asda Tickled Pink and Avon
- Lead on stewardship of workplace fundraisers and corporate JustGiving pages
- Support with copy-writing and content creation for internal and external communications channels including website content, social media posts, e-newsletters, blog posts and content for partner channels
- Coordinate fulfilment of fundraising materials requested by partners and supporters
- Support with researching and completing due diligence on partners and prospects
- Support on writing, reviewing and developing proposals and pitches
- Source raffle prizes and gift-in-kind for partnership events
- Work with the Finance Assistant to keep accurate up-to-date income records for partnerships

About the role
We’re looking for an experienced e-commerce officer to join our Trading team to showcase and promote our exciting year round range of products to raise income and engage supporters via our online shop, catalogues and commercial partnerships.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy
- Lead on the development and implementation of our Individual Giving strategy, supported by the Head of Mass Participation and the Director of Fundraising & Marketing.
- Ensure all opportunities and future plans are in line with Winston’s Wish’s over-arching fundraising strategy to meet financial targets, organisational objectives and KPIs.
- Maintain an awareness of philanthropy trends, news, events and legislation in the UK to ensure that Winston’s Wish remains up to date on key changes which are likely to impact on individual giving.
Generating Individual Giving Income
- Lead on and deliver a plan to increase individual giving income from streams including, but not exclusive to, direct mail, regular giving, legacies, in-mem and our charity lottery
- Effective use of KPIs to ensure decisions are driven by evidence and real-time data.
- Continuously analyse our income and supporter data to measure effectiveness of activities and return on investment.
- Work alongside our design agencies and in-house marketing team to develop and manage direct mail campaigns, including segmentation to ensure campaigns will be carefully targeted and designed to maximise income.
- Explore and test new methods for donor recruitment and increasing donations.
- Seek every opportunity to increase awareness of legacy giving to Winston’s Wish and monitor the effectiveness of these activities over time.
- Manage a growing portfolio of legacy enquirers with appropriate contact and timely solicitation of prospective legators including hosting events and tailored stewardship.

The Opportunity

- Driving significant income growth from corporate partnerships, by taking Maggie’s national partnership proposition to businesses to meet ambitious but achievable targets.
- Delivering and growing key partnerships with support from the other members of the Corporate Partnerships and Centre Fundraising Teams.
In order to achieve these aims, two other key elements of the job will be:
- Supporting with the development and delivery of corporate collateral and engagement tools to steward existing partners and attract new ones – such as webinars and networking events.
- Supporting Centre Fundraisers to grow partnership income from companies of all sizes and will assist in the development of engagement initiatives to cultivate new and existing supporters – for example by leading on our Christmas Corporate Appeal.
Although this is an office based role, a typical week will involve travel to corporate offices and other Maggie's locations. There will be a requirement to work occasional irregular hours.
Maggie's provide free cancer support and information in our centres alongside NHS hospitals and online.
