Job description

GADN is recruiting for a Communications and Policy Officer to work, in part, on our Feminist Reframing of Macro-level Economics (REFRAME) project – an exciting initiative which seeks to change the way in which global economic decisions are taken so that they better promote gender equality and women’s rights.

The Communications and Policy Officer is part of a small team consisting of GADN’s Director, Policy Manager, Coordinator and volunteers. They will work four days a week on the REFRAME project, and one day per week on GADN’s core advocacy work, providing support on communications, policy and advocacy.

We are looking for someone who is well organised, has at least one year’s administrative experience and excellent knowledge and use of social media, online content creation as well as website maintenance. The post holder must also have excellent communication skills and is highly motivated to work on economic justice, gender equality and women’s rights.

Download the role profile and application form below.

How to apply for the role

Please download and complete the application form and return it via email by 9am on Monday 12th July 2021. Please include ‘Communications and Policy Officer’ in the email subject line.

Please see our website for more information, including the email address to submit your application form.

There will be two rounds of virtual interviews, the first of which will be held on either Tuesday 21st, Wednesday 22nd or Thursday 23rd July 2021 and will include a test to be completed at least 24 hours prior.

The second interview will be held on Thursday, 29th July 2021. If you’re unable to make any of these dates, please let us know in your cover email. Please also confirm in your cover email when you would be available to start.

To be considered for this role, you must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the UK.

GADN is seeking people from diverse backgrounds and life experiences to join our team. As we continue working to decolonise our practice and build an anti-racist organisation, we actively welcome applications from Black women and Women of Colour who we recognise are under-represented in the UK international development sector. If you share our core commitments we would love to hear from you!
