Position: Projects and Partnerships Manager

Location: London or Bolton/Hybrid (2 days a week in the London or Bolton office)

Salary: £39,000 - £44,000 (dependent upon experience)

About the Role

The role requires a well-structured and highly organised approach, to ensure delivery and reporting is of the highest quality and a creative and proactive approach, to navigate challenges and hold others to account, when needed. The project management aspect of the role requires someone who is an excellent communicator with responsibility to oversee Service Level Agreements (agreed outputs, outcomes and communications) between the organisation and Youth Zones, and their relationships with funders.. Whilst also taking time to bring Youth Zones together to share learnings and good practice, fostering collaboration across the Network, and support the Fundraising team in their stewardship of long-term donor relationships.

Seeking out new regional and/or national operational partnerships aligned with the Network’s priorities will be a new element within the role, focusing on securing a small number of brilliant, operational partnerships, which add value to core delivery.

There are also occasional Network-wide events for young people, which the Projects and Partnerships Manager takes the lead on, working collaboratively with staff to plan and deliver.

The role will be based at our Ullapool facility with occasional travel to the Island of Tanera Mor. Candidates who wish to work on a hybrid basis with at least 2 days per week on site, will also be considered. As Junior Management Accountant, you will be responsible for supporting the growing team in its day-to-day operations, whilst working with the Finance manager to implement and maintain new systems and procedures.

Responsibilities

· Prepare month end reconciliations and management accounts to a draft position

· Post monthly accounting journals

· Assist with the implementation and administration of the accounting and purchasing systems

· Maintenance of fixed asset register

· Reconcile bank accounts daily

· Quarterly VAT Returns

· Manage weekly supplier payment process

· Maintain, implement and improve internal controls and procedures

· Provide cover and support for other members of the finance team as required

Skills and Experience

 

· Previous relevant accounting experience and knowledge essential

· Completed or working towards an accounting qualification (AAT or similar) with at least 1-2 years of experience in a finance role

· Strong knowledge of excel

· Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills and high level of accuracy

· Confident user of Xero as well as other office applications (applicants with experience of similar accounting packages will also be considered)

· Numerate with strong analytical skills

· Good communication skills

· Adaptable with a positive and proactive approach

As Senior Philanthropy Manager you will step into a newly created position in the team that will focus on creating and implementing a compelling major donor programme.

This role will suit someone who understands trust fundraising and is looking for a new challenge, taking on more responsibility including managing a small team of Trusts fundraisers.

The role will further develop and review our current trusts and foundations strategy, with a focus on growing and renewing five- and six-figure income from Trusts, Foundations and grant making bodies. This is an ideal role for an experienced and collaborative Trust fundraiser, capable of developing long-lasting relationships and build compelling cases for support that secure transformational donations for an iconic institution.

We are looking for a Chief Officer who will be responsible for the day to day running of the charity as well as working with the Trustees to take the organisation forwards.  The successful candidate will have experience of working with adults with learning disabilities, will have skills in finance, management and IT, and will enjoy working in a busy environment where there are changing demands and priorities throughout the day.

At Oak Tree Farm we are committed to providing a high quality, supportive environment where adults with learning disabilities, our Team Members, are the centre of everything we do.  The farm has livestock, growing fields, greenhouses, polytunnels and a tearoom as well as craft rooms, a cottage garden, pottery and shop. Our Team Members are involved in every aspect of life on the farm and the farm is firmly embedded in the local community with Team Members providing gardening services to local people as well as volunteering on the Sandon Estate.
