Job Purpose:
As a Volunteer Coordinator you willbe responsible for supporting the Volunteer Service Manager on the following:
Recruitment and hiring process by advertising for available volunteer positions, working with line managers in interviewing candidates, obtaining references, health questionnaires and DBS checks.
Updating andmaintaining accurate volunteer records and files.
Preparing and presenting induction materials for new volunteers, including handbooks and induction programmes.
Working with departmental managers to deliver volunteer training programmes ensuring regular,good quality, reflective 1:1 supervision for volunteers is carried out.
Overseeing, logging, and supporting volunteer training compliance.
Coordinating centrally controlled volunteering activity, ensuring rota information is communicated to volunteers and service leadersin a timely manner.
Supporting the Trust's flagship events through coordination of the required volunteering activity.
Supporting the volunteer service manager and team leaders to celebrate volunteer successes.
Maintaining a central database of volunteers and projects, tracking key metrics.
Supporting the wider team in carrying out general OD administrative duties whererequired.
Responding to day-to-day queries from volunteers, escalating to the Volunteer Service Manager where necessary.
About You:
Educated to GCSE level or equivalent with Maths and English at Grade C or above with effective communication and organisational skills you will understand and be committed to promoting volunteering. Using your understanding and commitment to equity and diversity you willprovide basic advice on volunteering procedures to colleagues and applicants.
With a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint you will be able todemonstrate accurate administration skills including word processing, spreadsheet creation and digital filing.
A requirement of this role is the ability to travel between Trust sitesin a timely manner.

Key Duties:
- To be the first point of contact for the existing network of Digital Champions in the borough, and support organisations to recruit, onboard and manage new Digital Champions.
- To directly manage a pool of Digital Champions under BVSC and lead on recruitment, onboarding, and training.
- To organise regular online and face-to-face meetings for Digital Champions.
- To develop and implement a communications plan that raises awareness of the Digital Champions Network in Bexley and of the challenges and opportunities digital inclusion presents.
- To explore new opportunities with partners and the sector more broadly in a way that aims to expand the digital champions project and create a more digitally inclusive culture for Bexley residents.
- To organise regular events, training and information sessions for Digital Champions based on needs.

Lancashire Mind is a local charity working to prevent poor mental health. We support people experiencing common mental health conditions, such as anxiety and depression. We work with children and adults, offering universal services to help people improve their mental wellbeing, along with targeted services for people and communities at increased risk of experiencing poor mental health or facing mental health inequalities. You'll work with colleagues across all teams to ensure opportunities to influence Lancashire Mind's work are promoted to everyone who uses our services.

About the role

Overview & Purpose
The role of the Project Development Coordinator is to assist existing ZCG projects in achieving maximum impact, and develop new projects where ideas have been put forward or gaps are identified. You will provide project management support, forming teams of self-sufficient volunteers, and provide support in monitoring and evaluation. You will be part of a team comprising paid staff and volunteers. As such, alongside project development your focus will be on supporting and nurturing personal development within the volunteer base whilst driving forward the Charity’s objectives.
