About the Role

We have a strong Fundraising & Communications team with a clear strategy in place to achieve growth of voluntary income from £2.7m-£4.1m a year by 2028. We’re seeking an innovative and driven fundraiser to lead some of our less-developed areas of Fundraising to achieve the potential that we know that they have. This includes Major Gifts, Trust Fundraising and Legacies, and supporting our Service Delivery team to identify opportunities and submit Statutory tenders as appropriate.

About the role

As Grants and Major Gifts Executive you will:

Role Purpose

Winston’s Wish is a digital first organisation leading the way in Digital Transformation across the Bereavement sector. This role is new and exciting and will play a vital part in helping Winston’s Wish turn up the dial across our high value fundraising.

As Philanthropy Manager you will be responsible for growing income from major donors and Trusts and Foundations through excellent donor stewardship. Leading a team of committed Trust fundraisers, you will focus on identifying prospective individual donors and foundations and develop lasting relationships with them. You will also support the management of relationships with existing donors, ensuring all donors have an excellent experience of supporting Winston’s Wish and understand the impact of their support on the lives of grieving children.

Main Responsibilities

Leadership

• To lead and inspire the Philanthropy team fostering a collaborative and high culture that delivers against income and objectives.

About the Role

As our creative, innovative and data led Legacy & In Memory Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for developing and delivering WaterAid’s legacy and in memory fundraising programme with the support of the Legacy and In Memory Marketing Officer. You will deliver multi-channel campaigns across TV, digital, direct mail, email and events to raise awareness of gifts in wills, generate legacy enquirers and create inspiring journeys to nurture and engage legacy and in memory supporters.

In this role, you will plan, manage and execute multi-channel campaigns across the marketing funnel, as well as work with the Legacy and In Memory Marketing Officer to deliver exceptional stewardship, through personal communications and events, to our committed supporters.

Legacy Manager (Maternity Cover)

Role Summary:

As part of the Major Gifts and Planned Giving team, this role is responsible for managing a caseload of approximately 80 legacy estates, including pecuniary, specific, residuary and life interest estates. Key Accountabilities

• Responsible for aligning legacy acquisition and retention marketing to the individual giving programme, to maximise uptake and engagement. In conjunction with their manager, work together to develop new ideas and best practices to improve the number of legacy pledges and the income from In Memory fundraising to increase annual gift amounts
• Achieve income targets that support the delivery of fundraising goals aimed at delivering in excess of £3m+ per annum

In this role, you'll lead the cultivation and stewardship of a portfolio of donors capable of making £1 million+ gifts. With a particular focus on advancing research into children's and young people's cancers, your work will have both national and international reach - and a lasting impact.

What will I be doing?

• Work in partnership with the Associate Director of Philanthropy to spearhead a new philanthropic initiative to raise seven and eight figure gifts for children and young people's cancer research.

• Manage a portfolio of prospects with a primary focus on qualifying prospects and developing the engagement and stewardship of prospects through the full life cycle of giving and renewal. Ensure consistent pipeline movement and contribution of prospects both through their giving as well as helping to build CRUK's donor pipeline.

• Achieve agreed fundraising income and prospect cultivation targets and provide regular reporting and metrics against goals.

• Lead the development of the Wealth Advisors and Intermediaries strategy and engagement plan working in partnership with CRUK stakeholders.

• Partner with the CRUK Leadership, Chairman, Trustees, as well as scientists, Philanthropy colleagues to develop and implement strategies for gifts of £1M+; help the development and supporting the management of volunteer leaders committed to advancing CRUK philanthropy; guide discussions with senior leadership on prospect strategy;

• Own, develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders; including academics and researchers, institutional leaders, volunteer leaders, and writing briefings and coordinating engagement that will lead to gifts;

• Work closely with internal colleagues to coordinate engagement with CRUK funded scientists and leadership develop proposals and propositions.

Position Summary:

The Philanthropy Manager will have a strategic role in increasing funding for RSN’s mission, educational programmes and Fragile Threads programme, individual giving, legacy giving and stewarding events.

We are looking for a dynamic and self-motivated fundraiser, who is a pro-active and results-driven individual. Main Duties

• Actively manage donor relationships across assigned portfolio of largely UK supporters with first class stewardship and reporting to secure renewals and uplifts of approximately £1m per annum.
• Develop the pipeline of new donors through effective prospect research, network mapping and connecting with new contacts at external and internal events as a representative of ClientEarth
• Support the Philanthropy Manager, Philanthropy Lead for Europe and all the Philanthropy team to create the conditions for success in the European Philanthropy Team.
