The HR Manager is a newly created position reflecting the growth in Trust activities over recent years and the need for a dedicated resource to ensure Trust needs are met as we continue to grow and evolve. This is a great opportunity to be involved in shaping and embedding HR Strategies across all Teams of the Trust.

The successful candidate will be qualified to CIPD level 5 and have proven experience in HR policy and practice. Charity experience would be advantageous however this is not essential.

The Huntington's Disease Association is a UK registered charity that supports people affected by Huntington's disease across England and Wales. We provide information, advice and support to families, friends, and healthcare professionals.

We are looking for an experienced Volunteer Manager to support and inspire those who volunteer for the charity. You will lead them in line with the vision, mission and values of the charity and work to fulfil the goals of our strategic plan. You will strengthen our current volunteering strands with effective governance and great communication and will develop new volunteering opportunities within the charity.

You will manage our volunteer-led Branches and Support groups who offer peer support, fundraising opportunities and activities locally. You will also manage HD Voice, our panel of volunteers, who contribute to the internal development of the charity and ensure that the voice of the Huntington’s community is at the heart of research into the condition.

You will co-ordinate all aspects of the volunteer journey from recruitment, selection, induction, training and ongoing support and develop effective policies, procedures and guidance for volunteers as well as developing an effective monitoring and evaluation process.

We are looking for someone with strong volunteer management skills who has experience of training volunteers and of writing policies, procedures and guidance in line with data protection guidance. Also someone with great communication and relationship management skills who has experience of managing volunteers at all stages of their volunteer journey.   

There will be regular evening and weekend work as many of our volunteers work themselves so need the support out of office hours. There will be a need for travel across England and Wales.

Women’s Aid is the national charity working to end domestic abuse against women and children. Purpose of the Project Manager role:   

As Project Manager, the successful candidate will play an integral role in working across the organisation to ensure that sound project management principles are being used in all aspects of our work. What we are looking for in our Project Manager: 

Essential: 

• Substantial (5+ years) proven experience in project planning and execution, monitoring and reporting, and achievement of objectives. 

• Experience managing large (£50k+) and complex (e.g. cross-cutting multiple teams/functions) budgets. 

• Ability to work at pace and deliver to deadlines, prioritising work depending on organisational need.

• Ability to interpret top-line briefs and turn these into practical action.

• Ability to identify and manage project-based risks and issues, identify key decision points and define options for decision-makers.

Community Advice Works is an established community charity based in New Cross in South
East London. As the only charity in the London Borough of Lewisham offering a general

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Risk & Assurance Manager to join our Audit, Risk & Governance Team. This role will require the successful candidate to support to the Head of Audit, Risk & Governance in the implementation and oversight of effective risk management and assurance policies and procedures for the whole organisation.

Role Requirements

 You will attend the Audit & Risk Committee and other board committees from time to time to present on risk and assurance.  With experience of delivering 2nd line risk and assurance activities within large, complex or heavily regulated organisation, you will be effective in building professional relationships and influencing and collaborating with colleagues from all disciplines and at all levels. 

You will need to engage effectively with frontline and support colleagues to really understand the needs of our beneficiaries and the risks to the charity more broadly.  The ultimate objective of risk management at The Children’s Trust is to ensure the charity continues to deliver high-quality, safe and effective and financially sustainable services for vulnerable children now and in the longer-term.

Although the role does not have any formal direct reports, the Risk & Assurance Analyst will have a dotted line into the Risk & Assurance Manager, providing support particularly on business continuity but also on risk management as and when necessary.

With experience of working in a complex environment, across a large and diverse workforce, you will be exceptionally organised with a high-level of attention to detail. Working with the director, Grants Committee and trustees, the grants manager will ensure he/ she delivers the best possible support and guidance consistently. This will involve developing and perfecting sound grant-making processes, assisting staff with applications, selection, awarding, distribution and monitoring and evaluating outcomes. This person will also lead on maintaining accurate data and supporting the team with progress reporting and stakeholder management. This is a relationship and process-based role which reaches right across all the NHS trust’s services.

This role will also assist the development of communication materials, including the identification of grantees to spotlight through storytelling and sharing content that can be used to promote the impact of the charity’s work through social media and other channels.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled Area Branch Development Manager to join our field operations team. You will join us working 35 hours per week (including some evening and weekends) on a 12 month fixed-term contract basis and in return you will receive a competitive salary of up to £41,363 per annum, plus car allowance and excellent benefits.

Responsibilities of our Area Branch Development Manager:

As an Area Branch Development Manager you will be accountable for the development, growth and local governance of branches within a designated area. Providing a solution-driven approach with the aim of helping more cats through the effective engagement of local volunteers. You will develop and deliver an area plan that captures the importance of volunteer engagement, recruitment, support, enabling and succession planning to ultimately achieve branch growth and sustainability. You will work collaboratively with other CP regional teams where appropriate, identifying where there are opportunities to achieve more by working together.

About Emergency Nutrition Network (ENN)

ENN’s vision is: Every individual confronted by malnutrition has access to the knowledge, tools, services and resources they require to meet their needs.  Working in a networked approach ENN contributes research, convenes, brokers and exchanges knowledge to support practitioners within national governments, civil society, UN, donor and academic organisations working on malnutrition. Through these collaborations we enable all agencies to implement evidence-based nutrition programming, predominantly in low- and middle-income countries and in fragile and conflict affected states.

Purpose of the role

To maximise ENN’s impact, functioning and profile through the use of improved communication and digital strategy, accessibility, culture and practice. 

 Key responsibilities

 Communications Strategy

• Lead the development and socialisation of an effective organisational communications strategy and implementation plan
• Analyse and brief ENN team and trustees on evolving Communications and Digital environment.
• Build a Communications and Digital culture through training and mentoring colleagues in the improved use of communications and digital tools and the establishment of organisational norms and ways of working.
• Curation of aligned branding, internal and external communication across all ENN’s workstreams, in line with ENN values and strategic objectives.
• Focal point for all ENN marketing, communications and digital issues
• Understand, segment and expand ENN’s current audience and networks and, in collaboration with others, increase visibility, presence and engagement with ENN’s network and audience

• Manage and develop ENN social media platforms for optimal visibility, engagement and impact, working with donors and collaborators to proactively engage their platforms and networks towards mutually beneficial ends

• Relevant tertiary qualification or experience preferably in media, journalism, science health or humanitarian communications, digital production, marketing or public relations
• Demonstrable experience of creating and implementing successful communication and digital strategies
• Demonstrable experience of planning, creating and publishing engaging content across digital channels
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to adapt technical and scientific information for a range of audiences
• Experience in website project management and implementation

 Terms and Conditions

Type of contract: Permanent

• Location: Office-based, with the opportunity to work from home 1 – 2 days a week. ENN’s office is in Kidlington, Oxfordshire.
• Holidays: 25 days plus UK Public Holidays, increasing by one day per annum after two complete years of service to a maximum of 27 days per annum. Pro-rata for part-time staff.
• Pension: Auto-Enrolment to ENN scheme with a generous Employer contribution of 5%
• Salary: £39,000 per annum, full-time equivalent, dependent on experience and suitability for the role
• Hours of work: We are ideally looking for a full-time candidate (37.5 hours per week), however, applications for part time hours (i.e. a minimum of 0.8FTE / 30 hours per week) may also be considered

New Routes Integration

Since 2003 New Routes has been working with, and supporting, refugees, asylum seekers and isolated migrants in Norwich to support their wellbeing and ambitions by providing skill-building and social programmes in a safe and welcoming environment. We promote cross-cultural integration and community awareness, working with individuals and families from over 60 countries of origin. We work closely with an extensive network of partner organisations, both third-sector and statutory.  Principle purpose of the post:

The Operations Manager will work closely with the Chief Executive supporting on contractual service delivery (including the management of risk), quality and improvement across the organisation and ensure quality services are provided. This will be informed and implemented by ensuring that our participants have appropriate methods to inform programme delivery routinely. 

The Operations Manager will support the Chief Executive in leading and monitoromg service and organisational quality, financial/income activity and expenditure, adherence to policies and procedures, and overall compliance with health and safety activity through a range of measures, including the use of reports and data to make critical and informed assessments.

The Operations Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing the Fundraising Strategy in order to diversify our funding streams enabling New Routes to develop exceptional services that meet our participants existing and emerging needs.

In conjunction with the Chief Executive, the Operations Manager will hold responsibility for ensuring all staff are effectively supported to undertake their roles, and will administer formal HR policies and procedures when standards fall below expectations.

The Operations Manager will provide support and deputise for the Chief Executive when required.  The postholder will be expected to demonstrate a high ability to be pro-active in anticipating and managing their workload, and work without high levels of direction.
