Summary of the role:

As the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL)  Officer focuses on strengthening and supporting the various projects, including the collection of programme wide statistics to detail the reach and results of Muslim Aid UK  (MAUK) programmes. The MEAL Officer will provide guidance, coordination, and technical support to Country Offices and Partner’s MEAL systems through MAUK Programmes, ensuring that the programme has the flexibility to respond appropriately to the context while ensuring quality, effectiveness and responsiveness in line with humanitarian standards, as well as compliance with the Institutional donors.

The position supports a robust monitoring system that facilitates both accountability and learning and includes data collection, analysis, learning reflection and timely action-taking in support of quality service delivery.

You will play a critical role in this unit with an exciting mandate to support and improve the dynamic programmatic portfolio Muslim Aid Implements Globally. You will work closely with partners and country offices and contribute to improving systems within IPD.

About the Role:

1. Collaborate with the MEAL Manager, country offices and partners staff to craft MEAL systems that align with the project, and MAUK Global objectives, are relevant to the context, responsive to assessed needs, are measurable and are in compliance with grant requirements.
2. Ensure that all relevant collaborators have timely access to appropriate information and evidence.
3. Support in the review and prepare timely and accurate MEAL reports, including progress reports and impact assessments.
4. Provide assistance in monitoring programme progress including the design of appropriate MEAL Plans, indicators, targets, baseline data, timelines, data collection tools that can track progress of projects’ progress.
5. Support the preparation of terms of reference of external and internal evaluations, case and impact studies in coordination with the focal points.
6. Support the MEAL Manager on building capacity among staff and partners in MEAL concepts and practices.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

1. Bachelor’s degree required; postgraduate degree in international development, sustainable livelihoods, humanitarianism, or programme management preferred.
2. Understanding of development programmes design, implementation and evaluation.
3. Experience and understanding of monitoring and evaluation of programmes; using of quantitative and qualitative research data collected in support of programme development.
4. Experience developing logical/results frameworks, indicators, and MEAL plans.

Fine Cell Work (FCW) is a charity and creative social enterprise committed to the rehabilitation of people in prison, and post-release. Our innovative Open the Gate (OTG) programme at our Battersea Hub offers work experience, volunteering opportunities, accredited training, mentoring, and signposting support to participants/ Apprentices at any point on their resettlement journey.

About the role:

We are now looking for an experienced and dynamic Engagement and Support Officer (ESO) to join our team. The successful candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of the challenges faced by people in contact with the criminal justice system and will work proactively to establish meaningful and sustainable cross-referral pathways with external agencies. They will nurture a professional, inclusive, and safe working environment; use their knowledge, insights, and expertise to support tangible outcomes for all Open The Gate participants; and develop the wider programme offer in line with our organisational objectives.

Key responsibilities:

1. Nurturing a professional working environment where Open The Gate Apprentices are supported to achieve their potential.

2. Building and maintaining referral partnerships with external agencies [including HMP resettlement teams, probation services, approved premises and community-based organisations supporting prison-leavers] to increase participant numbers and sustain engagement with Open the Gate.

3. Coordinating applications and referrals for prospective Apprentices, gathering relevant information for dissemination to the wider team.  

4. Working with colleagues in the Programmes team to develop risk management and support plans for each Apprentice, using information regarding offences, licence conditions and risk areas, liaising closing with the probation service and other agencies where relevant.

5. Ensuring timely, accurate, and safe recording of all information and personal data.

6. Case management of Apprentices, including action-planning and goal setting in consultation with the Workshops Manager, supporting Apprentices to achieve work-ready outcomes in an agreed period.

7. Providing day to day practical, pastoral, and sign-posting support to a caseload of Apprentices and providing ad-hoc support to graduate Apprentices when required.

8. Working with the wider team at Fine Cell Work to develop and coordinate a series of employability and creative wellbeing workshops for Apprentices.

9. Supporting small grant application processes on behalf of Apprentices.

10. Responding to safeguarding concerns in line with Fine Cell Work policy and procedure.

11. Supporting the Volunteer and Programmes Manager with the delivery of the Service User Involvement Strategy and championing service user involvement across the organisation more broadly.

12. Supporting the Volunteer and Programmes Manager to recruit and deliver training to mentors and other volunteers in roles supporting Apprentices.

Working with the Volunteer and Programmes Manager to develop and enhance the Open the Gate mentor offer including as the first point of contact for mentors pre- and post- mentoring sessions. 

Knowledge and Skills for the role of Engagement and Support Officer:

Essential

• The ability to build rapport, establish trust, and work non-judgementally with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
•  At least 3 years’ professional experience working with adults in contact with the criminal justice system, assessing needs and risks, and formulating support plans.
• Excellent organisational skills and an ability to manage competing priorities on a daily basis.

This is a key role within the small, dynamic Foundation team: it plays a core part in delivering the grants programme that lies at the heart of the purpose of the Garfield Weston Foundation.  The role spans all parts of the grants function, including advising applicants, assessing and evaluating applications, and preparing reports for decisions on funding. A target driven approach is required for the role to manage the pipeline of applications, and there are opportunities to contribute to special projects and initiatives as they arise.  You will report to the Senior Grants Manager and to the Deputy Director on certain specified activities.

Reporting into the Head of Major Gifts, you will be responsible for leading on grant applications from trusts and other grant giving organisations. The grants will often be in the five to six figure range, and will be for a wide variety of activities, including bursaries, the Fonteyn International Ballet Competition, local and national learning and participation projects, and more. You will also be building on existing relationships with grant-giving organisations and help plan fundraising with the Head of Major Gifts and the Director of Fundraising and Development.

The Institute of Medical Ethics was founded in 1970 – it is a company limited by guarantee and a registered charity in England & Wales. As a charitable organisation we promote and support the impartial study and understanding of medical ethics and its integration into clinical practice through education, research, and publication.  

Since its foundation, it has established a leading role in the field of medical ethics in the UK and has been highly influential in establishing medical ethics as part of the core curriculum in medical schools.  

It has been a membership organisation since 2013 with around 200 members composed mainly of doctors, medical students, medical ethics teachers, bioethics researchers and allied health professionals.  

Major IME activities at present include conferences, online seminars, publication of web-based resources to support the teaching of medical ethics and awarding of grants and scholarships. The IME is co-owner with the BMJ publishing group of two highly-respected journals produced in association with BMJ publishing: the Journal of Medical Ethics (JME) and Medical Humanities (MH) with an additional online journal to be launched in 2025.

The IME is a small charity with staff consisting of the Chief Executive, a Digital Content Editor, the Membership & Administration Officer with support from a Finance Contractor.  The staff report to the Board of Trustees and work alongside approximately 70 volunteers that sit on the various committees and working groups. ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a dynamic individual who has the skills, experience and aptitude to work with the Trustees to refine and support delivery of The Pixel Fund’s overall vision and strategy, and to be the public face of the charity.The successful applicant will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the charity, currently carried out by a part-time administrator, which position is to be discontinued following the CEO appointment.

We are looking for an individual with experience of working in a leadership role with a board of Trustees, ideally with hands-on experience in grant-making and grant management, including managing a portfolio of live grant-holders.Strong financial and budgetary management skills are also desirable, in particular to reduce the Charity’s reliance on the Voluntary Treasurer.

ABOUT THE PIXEL FUND

The Pixel Fund (Charitable Incorporated Organisation No. 1191052) is a small charity that makes grants to support improvement in the mental health and wellbeing of Children and Young People.Since we were first established in 2011, we have distributed more than £1.5million to UK registered charities.We have a preference for supporting projects, but do also fund core costs.The work of the Trust, including all grant-making, is currently overseen by three experienced Trustees, together with a Voluntary Treasurer and a part-time Administrator.

The Trusts and Foundations Fundraising Officer will work alongside the Head of Income, Partnerships and Communications to help deliver Rising Sun’s fundraising targets during this exciting period of growth for the charity.

The main focus of the role is finding, attracting and stewarding new funders to help deliver Rising Sun’s life changing services. About the Role

As CEO, you will provide strategic leadership and operational management, ensuring our services continue to make a meaningful impact.  Reporting to the Board of Trustees, your key responsibilities will include:

We engage 80,000 people each year across a range of venues and communities, from our award-winning Singing Schools projects to Singing Medicine - where our musicians work bedside every week with patients and families at Birmingham Children's Hospital.

We are seeking a part-time Trusts and Grants Fundraiser to help raise funds for these vital projects by researching and writing applications and reports to charitable trusts and foundations, and by supporting grant applications to public funders. We are excited to bring this role in-house, having recently worked with a consultant trusts fundraiser. We currently raise £250,000 pa from trusts and foundations, and enjoy established relationships, including with multi-year funders.

You will join a supportive, dedicated staff team, which includes an Individual Giving Manager and an Individual Giving Officer, and will work closely with both the General Manager and the Director of Education & Participation. We are excited to be recruting for a Senior Operations Manager role. MannionDaniels seeks a bi-lingual (French/ English) Senior Operations Manager to support the delivery of Gavi’s new fund to strengthen engagement with CSOs and local partners across 14 countries through up to 60 grants.

MannionDaniels have been contracted by Gavi to deliver this new funding mechanism which aims to:

i. Increase vaccination coverage and reduce zero dose and under-immunised children.

ii. Set up grant/contract schemes with CSOs and local partners that are results-focused, cost-effective and provide value for money.

iii. Strengthen the capacity of CSOs and local partners to implement contracts/grants effectively and efficiently.

iv. Contribute to a conducive partnership, a joint vision and clarified collaboration modalities between governments, and civil society and local partners,

v. Help roll out HPV vaccination; and

vi. Robustly evaluate the contracts/grant with CSOs and local partners to capture learning and ensure course correction as required.

The Senior Operations Manager supports the implementation of effective and efficient activities to deliver the Gavi project in accordance with international standards, best practice and donor expectations. The role reports to the Deputy Team Lead- Gavi and is responsible for consistent implementation of systems and procedures. The Senior Operations Manager will be expected to support our culture of continuous improvement.

A strong operational background in international development, including extensive field experience, and excellent project management skills are essential for the role. The Senior Operations Manager will manage a medium sized team and occasional overseas travel may be required.

Funding Officer – Thematic and missions focused aligned to It starts with Community

We’re looking for four Funding Officers to support a range of initiatives across England. These are 12-month fixed term contracts.

Role Purpose 

You will be expected to be open to work in different initiatives across our England portfolio.As a funding officer you will assess applications for funding and manage grants using best practice, thematic expertise, and the experience of customers and stakeholders to improve our grant making and inform our decision making. You will also ensure that both grant management and assessment play an effective part in contributing to the Fund’s knowledge and learning as a grant maker.

• To review and assess funding applications.

• Maintain accurate records and contribute to reporting and learning. 
• Support due diligence and fair risk assessments.

Location: Hybrid: we have a hybrid approach to working. Work pattern and location will be agreed with the successful candidate. Our England offices are Birmingham, Exeter, Leeds, London, Manchester and Newcastle

The West Midlands Synod of the United Reformed Church (based in Yardley), is looking for an individual to provide technical expertise on buildings and property in support of Synod Officers, members of Synod Committees and local churches.

The successful candidate will be working to a wide brief and is expected to undertake a range of duties including, but not limited to, advising and initiating action on property issues in local churches, overseeing quinquennial inspections and manse inspections, and providing advice on property-related matters to Synod Committees.
