About the Role

We’re looking for a proactive and organised Estates Co-ordinator to oversee the day-to-day running of our buildings and provide essential support to our wider teams. You’ll work closely with colleagues and contractors to ensure our offices are well-maintained and efficient.

You’ll be based at the Wildlife Trust’s Head Office at Centre of the Earth, 42 Norman Street, Birmingham, B18 7EP, with regular work at our EcoPark site in Small Heath and occasional travel across the region and nationally.

Key Responsibilities

· Facilities Management: Oversee the day-to-day operation and maintenance of two environmental centre buildings, including minor repairs and coordinating contractors.

· Health & Safety Compliance: Support implementation of health and safety policies, including fire safety, first aid provision, and compliance monitoring.

· Contractor & Supplier Coordination: Manage relationships with external suppliers and contractors, ensuring value for money and sustainability.

· Asset & Equipment Oversight: Maintain asset registers, coordinate waste disposal, and ensure timely servicing or replacement of estate equipment.

· Security Management: Act as a keyholder, oversee site security, manage CCTV and alarm systems, and support emergency planning.

· Utilities & Financial Admin: Monitor utilities, provide meter readings, check bills, and manage petty cash systems.

· IT & AV Support: Provide basic troubleshooting or liaison with IT support and assist with AV setup for meetings and events.

· General Support & Representation: Assist with room setups, attend events, support Trust strategies, and act as a positive ambassador for the organisation.

About You

· Highly organised with excellent attention to detail

· Able to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment

· Confident using Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook

· Strong communication skills and able to work independently

· Experience in the charity sector is desirable

· Full UK driving licence and access to a car is required

You will also be a key leader at YCF and a core member of the SMT, managing two part-time staff members. The focus of this role is to provide administrative support to ensure back-office functions are efficient and timely. You will work across our fuel poverty and retrofit projects supporting project managers and key staff to ensure administrative tasks are completed to a high standard. The role will be varied, and some tasks will change over time as we secure further funded projects that require administrative support.

Pay and conditions.

• The role is a fixed term period of 12 months. We will consider applications for the role on a full or part-time basis, with a minimum of 22.5 hours per week.

Specific responsibilities

An applicant appointed to the role will be expected to:

• To sort HES inbound post, ensuring items are passed to the correct team or staff member.
• To coordinate HES outbound post requests, collating and printing information to send to households.
• To speak to households by telephone and triage households to appropriate HES projects.
• To book home visits for advisors and retrofit assessors, keeping calendars up to date with appointments, cancellations, and amendments. Accurately completing the home visits risk assessment when required.
• To assist with householder applications for grants and other funding schemes. Contacting clients to complete forms or collate paperwork or electronic evidence.
• To record client details and follow HES team guidance documents to assess the help and support needed.
• To update our client databases and other contact management systems accurately.
• Support the internal and external training programmes, such as booking inductions for new starters, distributing training materials after training sessions and making sure evaluations are completed.
• Help provide HR support for HES staff, through processing annual leave requests or sending appraisal reminders.
• Oversee the smooth running of HES processes, such as the complaints procedure or keep track of subscription packages.
• Maintain stocks of leaflets, factsheets, freepost envelopes, and similar items, including organising printing where needed.
• Take minutes during team meetings and share any actions.

We are seeking an experienced Bid Writer to join our successful funding team. The successful candidate will develop persuasive, compelling and compliant bid responses to support the growth of our organisation.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has excellent communication skills
• Can manage own time effectively with a keen eye for detail
• Can complete tasks to the highest quality
• Experienced in producing strong submissions for public sector health or social care tenders
• Excellent proficiency in MS Office

Responsibilities / Key Tasks:

• Write, edit and develop high quality bid responses
• Collaborate closely with internal teams and partners to gather information necessary for bid responses
• Create compelling content including case studies, diagrams and impact reports

About the capital project

The Playhouse Capital Development project is progressing through RIBA stage 3 with a design freeze now implemented. Work will continue to bring together a final stage 3 report which will give clear costings and timeframes for the project, before submitting a formal planning application at the end of October 2025. We anticipate that following this we will seek final approval to progress to RIBA stage 4 and commit to a start date for mid 2027 and a schedule of works that will see the project completed before 2029.

About this role

This part time (average 3 days per week) fixed term role has been created to work cross organisation and to work collaboratively with a new-look Development team to secure additional funding to realise this transformational capital project.
The person will play a pivotal role in our capital fundraising campaign, delivering the fundraising strategy behind this transformative initiative. Working closely with the Assistant Director, Development & Partnerships, senior leadership, trustees, the development team and funders, the postholder will manage the key milestones towards a successful a capital campaign that will transform the theatre’s facilities and secure its long-term future. 

What we’re looking for

We’re looking to work with someone with proven fundraising experience, specifically in the charitable sector, and with the ability to secure funding from a wide variety of sources, and work collaboratively with a new Development team supporting shared targets

You should have experience of fundraising for capital projects and a strong understanding of the requirements of time sensitive capital projects for cultural or charitable purposes. You will have experience of planning and delivering major fundraising events for capital targets e.g. gala dinners and auctions.

Purpose of the Post

To work as part of our Homeless Services Team, providing tailored support to asylum seekers and newly recognised refugees, helping them prepare for life in the UK, avoid crisis situations, and reduce the risk of homelessness and rough sleeping. The postholder will deliver one-to-one advice, guidance, and group information sessions within Greater Together Manchester’s Lifeskills programme, embedding support in trusted community settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver individual support to asylum seekers and new refugees, including:
  • Advice and guidance on housing, welfare benefits, health, employment, and education.
  • Support with paperwork, applications, and referrals to statutory/voluntary services.
  • Crisis prevention planning for those leaving asylum accommodation.
• Facilitate group information sessions at Lifeskills activities (e.g. football, workshops), covering:
  • Rights and responsibilities after gaining refugee status.
  • Access to housing and homelessness prevention.
  • Health and wellbeing, including GP registration.
  • Financial literacy, banking, and benefits.
  • Employment and education pathways.
• Build trust and positive relationships with participants, creating safe spaces for learning and support.
• Act as a link between participants and local statutory/voluntary organisations, strengthening pathways into services.
• Support individuals moved outside Manchester to connect with appropriate services in their new location.
• Maintain accurate records of support provided and outcomes achieved, in line with grant monitoring requirements.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, volunteers, and external partners to strengthen Greater Together Manchester’s refugee and asylum seeker support offer.
