• Lead on the development and delivery of paid and organic social media activity across both Family Action and Relate brands.
• Refine Family Action’s social media strategy in line with key brand, income generation and service marketing objectives

• Significant experience of developing successful paid social media campaigns for a range of business objectives including to drive income generation

• Experience of line management and/or mentoring a junior member of the team.

Scope of role

Brief role description:
The Communications Manager will play a key role in sharing the inspiring and powerful stories of our clients and the wider military community we support across the UK. They will be responsible for securing high-profile, meaningful media coverage that raises awareness of our mission to provide life-long, life-changing support, employment and training opportunities to Service leavers, veterans, reservists and their families. As we mark our 140th anniversary, this is a pivotal time for the Communications Manager to develop and deliver an integrated communications strategy across PR, traditional and new media, social media, and public affairs. Reporting to the Head of Brand and Communications, you will work closely with the Marketing Manager and the Community Engagement Manager and their teams to ensure consistent and aligned messaging across all marketing and
communication activity.

Islamic Relief UK (IRUK) is recruiting for the position of ‘Digital Product Specialist’ on a permanent, full-time basis, to be based from its Waterloo Office, London. The organisation is currently operating to a hybrid working model.
Job Purpose:
- Manage the digital assets of Islamic Relief UK, particularly the website, ensuring that it operates in an optimal manner.
- Manage the development, evolution and/or integration of digital assets, e.g. digital giving platforms and digital events management systems.
- Ensure all development projects have well considered user interfaces and provide an optimal user experience.
- Provide the Digital Marketing team support with technical SEO, email marketing, and tracking/reporting across key digital marketing platforms.
The successful candidate must have:
- Proven record of excellent people and interpersonal skills with strong communication skills at individual and group levels.
- Experience of managing web development projects
- Experience of working with internal clients and diverse teams
- Experience of delivering with a marketing budget and using resources effectively to successfully balance creative aspirations with limited financial and other resources
- An academic qualification at degree level or equivalent experience/qualification in a digital/developer related field
- A comprehensive knowledge of CMSs, preferably WordPress
- Working knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS, SQL and JavaScript and version controlling with Git
- Experienced in interpreting data from Google Analytics, Google Search Console and other analytic platforms
- In-depth understanding of UX and UI in the context of web design
- Knowledge and understanding of implementing technical SEO
- Commercially aware, with good understanding of budget management
- Ability to communicate technical information and requirements to non-technical management and internal stakeholders
- Experienced in working from wireframes and written design briefs to build mobile responsive solutions
- An aptitude for managing short-term projects effectively
- An understanding of marketing trends and the charity market

We are looking for a Communications and Social Media Manager (Maternity Cover) to join the dynamic communications team at London's historic food market. This is a fantastic opportunity to be at the heart of Borough Market's communications function in a hands-on and creative role which directly shapes how people see and feel about the most famous market in the UK.
Reporting to the Head of Communications and Marketing, the key focus of this role is to develop and manage Borough Market's social media and communications functions to enhance the Trust's overall reputation and build support for the Market's corporate and societal aims, in addition to working alongside the Head of Communications and Marketing to support generalist communications activity.
Interim Communications and Social Media Manager
Contract: One-year fixed term maternity cover contract
Salary: £50,000 - £57,000 dependent on experience
Location: Hybrid based between Borough Market and home with ideally three days per week on site, potentially two

Core responsibilities within your role will be to:
- Develop, manage and execute BM's organic social plans to help to deliver BM's purpose and key messages to customers and audiences
- Deliver social and traditional PR content and influencer marketing to communicate the Market's key messages
- Manage and implement the Market's social media and communications activities in line with the Trust's strategic plan
- Manage external filming requests and report internally on press and social media coverage
- Develop and manage collaborative and partnership working arrangements with a wide range of external stakeholders; ensuring BM's purpose and aims are communicated effectively and consistently to influencers, supporters and the media
- Manage relationships with relevant agencies including social media and content creation

- Support the Head of Communications and Marketing in the execution of the corporate and crisis communications strategy

- Champion the Borough Market brand including across all social media channels

You will need to be a talented and creative social media expert who can help cultivate a thriving culture of engagement across the Market's community of staff, traders and visitors. You will be a team player collaborating with the wider team on creating engaging content to ensure that Borough Market's story is as visible to priority audiences as possible.
Applicants will need to have a strong social media background and creative digital skills. Experience in a similar role or environment as well as outstanding communications skills, a self-starter approach and a keen interest in food and drink are essential.
