About the role:
We have been awarded a Department for Education contract to deliver high quality training to kinship carers across England, which will complement our existing progammes and services, including our national Peer-to-Peer Programme, innovative programmes commissioned by local authorities in England and Wales and our free information and advice services including Kinship Compass.
In order to reach and support more kinship carers with these programmes and services, we are building a new Marketing Team – comprising a Head of Marketing, Marketing Manager and Marketing Officer - to develop and deliver integrated, strategic and creative marketing campaigns and strategies.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, senior-level marketeer with a strong track record in overseeing the development and delivery of effective and successful multi-channel marketing strategies targeted at a range of audiences to join us as our Head of Marketing. We’re looking for someone excited to hit the ground running in developing a new team and function, and who is able to plan strategically and creatively about how to maximise engagement and acquisition with a small in-house team. You will play a crucial role in supporting Kinship’s growth including through income generation, by increasing brand awareness and developing compelling marketing offers for key audiences including kinship carers, local authorities and referral partners.
A strategic thinker and natural collaborator, you’ll be able to work across the organisation to develop integrated marketing strategies and plans across all of Kinship’s services and programmes, and ensure these align with our wider external communications, including to our Kinship Community of around 12,000 carers. You’ll also be comfortable getting involved in the operational delivery of our marketing plans, supporting your team of two and demonstrating an insight and audience-led approach to both digital and offline marketing, thriving in an environment where you’ll be responsible for overseeing the progress of various strands of marketing activity.
You will have significant experience in leading marketing teams in the charity sector, and have demonstrable experience in delivering successful, engaging marketing strategies in-house. You will have experience of operating at a senior management level – perhaps as a Senior Manager, Head of or other senior-level role, adept at working with senior level internal and external stakeholders.

About the role:
This is an exciting new role, leading the new digital team of five in Kinship. We’re developing a new website alongside the delivery of a brand-new training service for kinship carers.
The focus for your team is to build a brilliant website and digital products which meet the needs of our kinship carers and our other key audiences. We’ve already launched Kinship Compass, our online information hub for kinship carers and part of the new website redevelopment will be to create one seamless experience and integrate both.
You’ll manage Content Designers who will create user led content for Kinship Compass (online advice and information) and our training service – creating online content and workshop content. They will work closely with subject experts across the organisation.
You’ll provide digital leadership, increasing our digital capabilities across the organisation by driving innovation. Identifying opportunities to leverage gen AI and machine learning to develop our online services and content.
We’re looking for someone who is curious about using digital to support and enhance our services for kinship carers. And you’ll use data and insight to do that, continually optimising user journeys and experiences.
Our influencing, campaigning, research and policy work is core to changing the system for kinship carers and our new website needs to support the strategic objectives for these audiences. Working with our fundraising team, the right person will support the team to create better supporter journeys.
We have just been awarded the Department for Education contract to deliver high quality training to kinship carers across England. You will work closely with the Advice, Training and Information team to ensure kinship carers are able to book online or face-to-face training through our website without friction.
This is a new role and team so you will need to be someone who is comfortable with a high level of ambiguity and who is able to build high performing and effective teams quickly.
Working collaboratively with colleagues across Kinship and in cross-functional teams will be to be a key strength. You’ll need to be curious, detail orientated with an improvement mindset.
A new Associate Director of Advice, Training and Information will set up and embed a new Knowledge Board, which you will also co-own. The board will develop a new taxonomy which will form the framework for all content (including online) to support kinship carers as they become and live as a kinship carer.
You’ll be supported by an ambitious and supportive executive team and will join a high performing senior management team.

Purpose of Post
The postholder will be responsible for AAUK’s online digital community the Members Hub, developing additional membership benefits and creating a Membership Development Strategy. Key Responsibilities
Events
- Responsible for the delivery of AAUK’s Annual Conference and Awards of Excellence including managing key suppliers, delivering the speaker programme and managing income/expenditure.
- Creation of a sponsorship pipeline for key events in collaboration with other members of the Income Generation team to ensure all opportunities for sponsorship are maximised.
- Ensure maximum benefit from AAUK’s attendance at events such as The Emergency Service Show and Helitech.
Membership
- Creation and management of a varied membership pipeline to support the expansion and diversification of membership.
- Working in collaboration with other organisations and partners to further develop the current membership offering to include additional benefits.
- Develop a Membership Development Strategy to underpin membership activities to support membership satisfaction and growth.
- Respond effectively to member enquiries, providing timely and accurate information, advice and guidance as needed.

About the role
This is a new role within the Philanthropy and Strategic Partnerships team responsible for developing and leading our major donor programme. Myeloma UK is embarking on an ambitious five-year income generation strategy, which aims to increase income from £5m to £10m by 2028. This position will play a critical role, working alongside the Head of Philanthropy and Strategic Partnerships to double the income we raise from major donors and family trusts by securing 5-6 figure grants for a range of innovative and life changing programmes – including patient and family support, research and advocacy. The Philanthropy Manager is also responsible for managing and supporting the Philanthropy Officer in securing mid to high level donations from individuals.
The major donor programme at Myeloma UK is established - we have a strong community of existing high-level supporters and have identified significant potential donors within our community - but these opportunities have not been fully leveraged in the past. Building on this foundation, and a major fundraising Gala planned for Spring 2024, there is a significant opportunity to transform this area of fundraising and this role will be instrumental in delivering a step change in our approach. The role requires outstanding relationship building skills, and the ability to work with high-net-worth individuals, to build credibility and trust and inspire them to support Myeloma UK.
About you
You will be an experienced major donor fundraiser with the ability to secure 5-6 figure gifts and lead others to do the same. You will be a strategic thinker, who is ready to lead and implement our major donor strategy alongside the Head of Philanthropy and Strategic Partnerships.
We need someone with exceptional relationship management skills with the ability to nurture high value relationships and also work closely with senior colleagues, Trustees and other volunteers to build deep and long-lasting donor relationships. It will be crucial to work closely with colleagues across the charity to identify fundraising priorities, develop fundraising propositions and involve them in the cultivation and stewardship of key relationships.
You will be a skilled communicator and negotiator with the ability to communicate complex scientific information in an engaging way. We need someone who can build relationships from scratch, uncover donor motivations and convey the importance of Myeloma UK’s work to inspire support.

About the role
Voice 21 is an agent for change, a thought leader in the oracy space, and a continual professional development partner to schools. The role will require someone with the ability to support the complex logistical and administration tasks associated with our programmes to ensure they are run efficiently and to the very highest standards.

- Event planning: Excite and engage our network by meticulously designing and delivering the format, content and logistics of our events and online sessions to be of maximum impact and value to them.
- Network building: Share the magic of our network, generate interest in our events and encourage participation. You will recognise the power of our data to improve our offer to members as well as to build our communications.
- Staying fresh: Keeping up to date with the latest developments affecting local government members, their efforts to transform public services and innovative approaches across the sector.
- Production and delivery: Be the on-the-day ‘producer’ for events and online sessions delivering a seamless experience ensuring our members have a smooth, enjoyable and interesting experience from start to finish.
- Working with stakeholders: Proactively and positively work with event stakeholders, including partners, sponsors, and other team members, before, during and after events/sessions to create a vibrant network of collaboration.
- Developing ideas: Along with the rest of the team you’ll help identify new opportunities to increase participation, draw in new councils and expand our work.

The organisation
New Local was founded in 1996. There is currently a team of 17 staff working on practice, research, communications, influencing and peer-learning with our network of over sixty councils and other partner organisations. New Local operates a ‘work anywhere’ policy but provides office space in the UK for those who require it. There is no cure for glaucoma. Sight loss from the disease cannot be reversed. Eye drop treatments can be painful and awkward and can cause more distress than the disease itself. As Training and Engagement Officer (Southern England), you’ll join our team of three other Training and Engagement Officers covering Northern England, Scotland/Wales and Northern Ireland. Across your region, you will be responsible for delivering our new, aspirational strategy by:
• Hearing and being the voice of people with glaucoma across your region;
• Providing support for people with glaucoma, potentially including support groups, conferences or working with local organisations to enable them to provide support;
• Raising awareness of glaucoma, particularly amongst high risk groups;
• Training and collaborating with professionals who work with people with glaucoma.
Your high quality delivery of these services is central to our success is key in this role. You will work closely with colleagues in the wider Support Services team, including the helpline, professional engagement and health information. You will also be involved with the Communications team, especially during public awareness raising campaign weeks.
You will deliver Glaucoma UK's outreach, training and engagement strategy in the South of England, including raising awareness among the general public, providing services for people affected by glaucoma and delivering training to health care professionals.

- Providing community support to individuals living with glaucoma, including establishing support groups, attending eye clinics, hosting patient conferences, encouraging the use of our information booklets and giving talks about glaucoma and Glaucoma UK.

About the role
We are looking to a Fundraising Events Coordinators within Restless Development’s UK Fundraising team. The fundraising team’s income has grown year on year and there is huge potential to continue to grow this further and create impact at scale.
The Fundraising Events Coordinator will be remotely based, primarily working on the Schools Triathlon programme but also leading one university student partnerships. The Schools Triathlon is the UK’s largest fundraising and sporting event for children aged 7-13. Its aim is to encourage more children into sport while also teaching them the importance of fundraising. Over the years, the events have raised over £3.4m for Restless Development and local charities and over 9,000 children have taken part. We are aiming to deliver 10 events in 2024 and significantly expand the series. Restless Development is also working with five universities who will be taking on the Kilimanjaro and Machu Picchu hikes in 2024. You will be managing one of these accounts, ensuring that the challenge leaders are supported to recruit a team, reach their fundraising targets and ready to take on the challenge of a lifetime!
We are looking for an energetic team-player, proactive individual with great interpersonal skills who is happy to learn and get stuck in.
Key responsibilities
1. Deliver high-quality supporter care, supporting Triathletes and their families to register, fundraise and to prepare for their big day
- Throughout September to February, present assemblies in schools in your and nearby counties to inspire school-age pupils to sign up and take part in the Schools Triathlon series, and motivate them to fundraise by delivering a fun and engaging presentation.
- Develop strong professional relationships with various important stakeholders from host schools throughout the year, in person and online;as well as with participating schools through the delivery of assemblies and in comms prior to the event day
- Use excellent interpersonal skills, to respond to enquiries from parents and guardians on our dedicated Schools Triathlon inbox and mobile phone.
- Be able to adapt your interpersonal and relationship management skills depending on your audience (for example, pupils, parents, school contacts, corporate sponsors, and suppliers)
- Utilise our database and Excel to track and monitor fundraising activities:
- identify our top fundraisers to celebrate through socials and other planned activities,
- identify our zero-pound fundraisers and with the wider team inspire them to raise funds for youth power,
- Manage offline donations at the Triathlon days and website donations to ensure that fundraising targets are met.
2. Manage the Schools Triathlons communications; including the website, social media channels, email marketing and event day content collection
- Develop a social media plan to engage Triathlon parents and schools and grow our following, including sharing stories from Restless Development’s programmes.
- Manage our Triathlon social media pages throughout the year; Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube.
- Innovate and explore appropriate new content and platforms to engage our audience.
- Lead on the marketing of our Triathlons for future growth by working with our Communications team and external videographers and photographers.
- Manage the design of the triathlete certificates, medals, and merchandise.
- Develop an event day Restless Development stand and materials to engage families and raise the profile of Restless Development.
- Manage our schools triathlon webpage and update regularly throughout the year.
- Develop an email marketing campaign for the parents/ guardians of the Schools Triathlon participants.
- Manage the event day content collection for each Schools Triathlon event and create content for local newspapers, host schools and websites
- Develop a media list and share a press release with each promptly after each event
- Work with our Head of Sponsorship to ensure that our Triathlon sponsors are included in our external communications.
2. Lead on a university challenge partnership
- Manage one university account we have secured for Mount Kilimanjaro or Machu Picchu in 2024. This includes pitching to confirm RAGs, recruitment to get students to join a hike and fundraising support calls to all participants so that they reach their fundraising targets and deadlines.
- Work with our Tanzania Hub to offer extras for those hiking Mount Kilimanjaro and may want to visit our Restless Development office and meet young leaders we work with.
- Support Challenge Leaders through in-person events and calls to ensure that they have a complete team and feel prepared to undertake their challenge.
- Liaise with a third company party who we have a partnership with and will be delivering the hikes.
- Offer other hikes/treks to corporates and individuals if appropriate.
3. Other
- Must attend the Schools Triathlons on Sundays from 21 April to 19 May, and other occasional evening and weekend work, for which time off in lieu will be given
- Many of the schools we have relationships with are not accessible by public transport, so it is vital you have access to a reliable roadworthy vehicle. All travel will be reimbursed in accordance with Restless Development’s travel policy.
- Log relevant information onto Restless Development’s database, CiviCRM and use CiviCRM to strategically manage workload and report on KPIs every month.
- Undertake any other duties as requested by the Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships to support the Fundraising Teams joint mission.
- Ad hoc - evening and weekend work with partners or for the wider team, including meetings and events (time in lieu will be given).
