Reporting to the Head of High Value and Legacy Fundraising you will:
Key Responsibilities
• Manage the development, delivery and implementation of the Legacy Strategy to deliver sustainable long-term growth
• Lead the Legacy and In-Memory team to maximise Legacy & In-Memory income for Sue Ryder and ensure an excellent stewardship and supporter experience
• Be able to interpret and act on data insight and produce robust reports about legacy income and the legacy pipeline
• Work with colleagues to ensure excellent stewardship is followed through in the Charity’s administration of legacy gifts
• Take the lead on the annual planning budgets, forecasting and variance reporting on monthly management accounts for Legacy and In-Memory Giving
• Keep abreast of the latest trends and innovations in Legacy and In Memory Giving
• Plan and lead innovative marketing campaigns including using digital channels
• Lead and manage the promotion of Legacy & In Memory Giving, working closely with colleagues in the care centres and across the organisation to promote a Legacy culture and drive growth across the legacy pipeline
The successful applicant will bring:
• Extensive Legacy & In Memory fundraising experience with a minimum of two years at manager level
• A track record of delivering innovation in generating income from Legacies
• Experience of planning, implementing and monitoring large budgets to agreed deadlines
• Experience of leading, inspiring and empowering colleagues to promote legacies and deliver excellent results
• Excellent communication skills – written and oral with the proven ability to communicate with persuasion and credibility
• Excellent Marketing skills to deliver growth from consumer marketing across multiple mediums including digital
• Experience of managing and motivating advertising/marketing agencies to deliver exceptional results
• The ability to analyse data and produce detailed reporting on campaigns and performance
• A thorough understanding of the Legacy Administration process and ILM standards

The Role
Based at our Head Office in Basingstoke, Hampshire, and reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will deliver engaging, creative, data-driven marketing campaigns targeting our beneficiaries and supporters across the UK’s fire services community. CVAA UK is a membership organisation supporting not-for-profit adoption agencies across the UK who specialise in finding homes for children in care. Over 3000 children in the UK need adoption each year because they cannot remain at home or with family members. The CVAA Practice Programme delivers 30 or more online courses each year to those working in the sector, primarily social workers. The Training Manager will work with the Head of Practice Development and the Programme Administrator to ensure that the courses are full, delivered effectively and evaluated. Part of the role will also be to source new trainers and support the creation of the programme into 2025.
The CVAA team work remotely across the UK so location of the postholder is not a barrier to recruitment as long as long as they can travel occasionally and come into London for team days. The team is small, diverse and dynamic. Experience of project management or delivery of training or events is more important than knowledge of adoption or children's social care. Key responsibilities
Communications Strategy
- Lead the development and socialisation of an effective organisational communications strategy and implementation plan
- Analyse and brief ENN team and trustees on evolving Communications and Digital environment.
- Build a Communications and Digital culture through training and mentoring colleagues in the improved use of communications and digital tools and the establishment of organisational norms and ways of working.
- Curation of aligned branding, internal and external communication across all ENN’s workstreams, in line with ENN values and strategic objectives.

Platform management:
- Manage and develop ENN social media platforms for optimal visibility, engagement and impact, working with donors and collaborators to proactively engage their platforms and networks towards mutually beneficial ends

- Review and deliver performance indicators across all relevant platforms to ensure SEO and high user engagement is measured
Content:

- As a member of the FEX editorial team, provide specific and tailored input and support to ENN’s flagship publication Field Exchange (FEX) on style, brand, design and presentation of print and on-line content.

- Develop and manage a bank of content including stories and images for use in ENN’s publications, products, monitoring and evaluation work and media usage.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification or experience preferably in media, journalism, science health or humanitarian communications, digital production, marketing or public relations
- Demonstrable experience of creating and implementing successful communication and digital strategies
- Demonstrable experience of planning, creating and publishing engaging content across digital channels
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to adapt technical and scientific information for a range of audiences
- Experience in website project management and implementation
- Excellent team-working skills and ability to work collaboratively and autonomously

Type of contract: Permanent

Your experience & personal characteristics
As you will be working with people in their own homes, residential and group supported living services, you must be confident engaging with diverse groups of people, family members and multi-agency professionals. You need to be passionate about equality and equity, being able to see the potential for improvement and knowing how to guide the person we support and their team to achieve the best. You will already have experience working directly with people who have learning disabilities, autism, mental health conditions, multi-sensory impairments, and people who may present behaviours that challenge. You will be fluent in the use of applied behaviour analysis to devise ways that are simple but effective to measure baseline and on-going development. Your qualifications
