Interim Finance Manager | Charity Sector

3-month FTC | £75,000 per annum | Immediate Start | Hybrid Working

We’re seeking an experienced Finance Manager for an immediate-start, 3-month fixed-term contract with a respected international charity. Paying £75,000 per annum, this is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant who is available to start immediately and can hit the ground running, taking ownership of core finance operations and delivering high-quality financial oversight from day one.

The Role

Reporting to the CFO, you’ll oversee day-to-day finance operations, financial reporting, controls and compliance, ensuring the smooth running of a busy finance function.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting.

• Preparing Finance Committee papers and supporting budgeting and forecasting.

• Overseeing payments, payroll, cash flow, banking and investment reporting.

• Managing donations processing, Gift Aid and charity accounting requirements.

• Leading external audits, statutory reporting and regulatory compliance.

• Maintaining robust financial controls, policies and procedures.

• Supporting and developing a small finance team while driving accuracy and efficiency.

About You

You’ll be a CCAB-qualified accountant with strong technical expertise, a hands-on approach and the confidence to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll bring:

• Strong financial and management accounting experience.

• Knowledge of UK GAAP, Charity SORP and charity accounting.

• Experience managing audits, budgets, cash flow and multi-currency transactions.

• Advanced Excel skills and experience with integrated finance systems.

• Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills.

• The ability to prioritise competing demands and deliver to tight deadlines.

Charity sector experience and familiarity with donor management systems would be advantageous.

Contract Details

• Contract: 3-month fixed-term contract

• Salary: £75,000 per annum

• Start date: Immediate. Candidates must be available to start straight away.

• Working pattern: Hybrid, minimum 2 days per week in the office and 3 days remotely

• Reporting to: CFO
