About the Youth Endowment Fund  

 We’re here to prevent children and young people becoming involved in violence. We do this by finding out what works and building a movement to put this knowledge into practice.   

In recent years violent crime has risen significantly. Homicides, assaults, robberies and offences involving weapons have all seen sustained growth. We have also seen large increases in violent crime involving children and young people. This is a tragedy. Every child captured in these numbers is an important member of our community and society has a duty to protect them.   

The Youth Endowment Fund (YEF) is a charity with a £200m endowment and a mission that matters. We exist to prevent children and young people becoming involved in violence. We do this by funding great initiatives, finding what works and working for change – scaling up and spreading the practices that make a difference.    

Our Change team does this by building excellent relationships and sharing evidence of what works with organisations and key individuals across the public, private, third sectors and local communities. We are looking for a dynamic, motivated, proactive and highly organised Change and Events Officer to join our Change team to help us fulfil our mission.    

 Key responsibilities  

Most fundamentally, your job is to work as a member of our Change team to make sure we’re excellent at running events and managing relationships with key stakeholders. You’ll make sure the team is incredibly organised and has the support it needs to work effectively. Key responsibilities:  

• Event Organising. Help to organise events, from small roundtables to large in person conferences. You will help make sure events run brilliantly, from booking venues to managing invites and organising materials.   

• External Relationship Management Support. Provide support to the team in managing external relationships by scheduling meetings, organising workshops and developing materials.   

• Meeting Effectiveness. Make sure certain meetings are effective. You’ll do this by organising the meetings, taking great minutes, making sure we keep track of things we said we would do and saving the documents in the right place.   

• Project Support. Help ensure projects within the Change teams are done brilliantly. This may involve administrative tasks, tracking deadlines or leading projects as needed.   

• Query Management. Monitor and respond to general queries by managing the team inbox.   

• Salesforce Reporting and Stakeholder Communication. Lead on coordinating Salesforce reporting and effective communication outreach for key stakeholder groups.  

• Stakeholder Engagement and Change Activities. Develop and support stakeholder engagement and Change activities, including monitoring and compiling feedback from surveys.  

• Team Scorecard Coordination. Lead on co-ordinating the team scorecard, ensuring that the team is on track with targets. 

• Collaboration. Work closely with other roles (including our Operations and Culture team) within YEF to ensure coordinated efforts and sharing of best practices.

Hybrid working details

Role Requirements

• Support planning and changes in the administration of children and young people’s timetable for children and family services.
• Support with photocopying of notes for subject access/ solicitor requests (SARS).
• Manage the SARS and redacting process with appropriate members of the Therapies teams.
• Update logs and coordinate the Clinical and Safeguarding Supervision across the Therapies teams, escalating non-compliance where required.
• Monitor mandatory training compliance and administer booking processes for all relevant training sessions/course.
• Coordinating specialist clinics, including spine and hip clinics; liaising with the Physiotherapy team to ensure the correct children are on the schedule. Liaison with external Consultants to organise the clinic lists.
• Carry out audiotyping of clinic letters and distribute as required.
• Update absences within the teams onto the SMI (staff care) system, as requested by the Heads of Service.
• Place orders for any required equipment and/or resources for departments and for the children and young people as deemed necessary.
• Take overview of clinical asset ordering, linking with the clinical assets team and management system, in line with MHRA guidelines and the medical devices policy.
• Track and monitor equipment orders with Heads of service, escalate delays and provide a central overview for all equipment re-charges and ordering.
• Raise and receipt PO’s and invoices for the therapies directorate and liaise closely with the finance team.
• Undertake other or additional duties that are within your skills and abilities, as the organisation may reasonably require from time to time.

With experience of working in a complex environment, across a large and diverse workforce, you will be exceptionally organised with a high-level of attention to detail. You will naturally possess excellent inter-personal skills, and an ability to consult and positively engage with key stakeholders across the organisation.

Last year we saw a 133% growth in the numbers of young people facing homelessness coming through our doors. Now, nearly half of them are - or recently have been - sleeping rough and with the numbers of young rough sleepers in the capital growing at an alarming rate, New Horizon Youth Centre has had to take decisive action to unlock support and housing for this group. The Head of Services - Rough Sleeping is a brand-new role for the organisation and will lead on developing a new internal strategy for young people facing rough sleeping, as well as holding operational oversight of our established youth-specific street outreach function and emergency accommodation hub, both of which are unique in London. You will need to be strategic in approach and an excellent relationship builder. You will act as our lead colleague on relationships with the Greater London Authority and London Councils’ rough sleeping teams, working with them to ensure our learning and insights inform policy and ultimately open up access to emergency support for those under 25. About the Role:

This role is pivotal in helping enhance the ITF’s position as the global voice of seafarers and their representative Unions, the position will work closely with the Seafarers Section Co-ordinator and with other ITF Industrial Sections to advance the human centred direction toward the changes in the maritime industry.

The responsibility for the role includes the attendance at all IMO sessions, travel and attendance to maritime events within or outside the UK.

You will be asked to produce policy papers, and be able to offer strategic thinking on how to lobby and attract consensus from the IMO Members on issues that the ITF wishes to support.

The long-term objectives to support seafarers and affiliates with measures and regulations that protect their health and safety, to enhance the profile of seafaring profession.

You must be a skilled strategic thinker to ensure that the ITF is ahead of the potential changes at the IMO.

The role is responsible for a small team of colleagues that will assist the position to advance and co-ordinate the larger team of ITF Affiliated Union Officials, that will support with expert technical advice to the sessions of the IMO Sub Groups.

The main task of the Institutional Funding Lead is to secure funding from UK-based institutional donors, with a primary focus on the FCDO.

You will drive forward dynamic and proactive engagement strategies directly with UK-based institutional donors and indirectly through consortia, as well as developing and supporting organisational positioning for contracts and grants.

This role will introduce innovative and agile funding approaches and models to enhance War Child UK’s competitiveness in a complex donor environment. Role Purpose

The purpose of this role is to provide high-level general administration for the Quality and Standards team who is responsible for raising standards through the learning lab educator platform, using benchmarking resource products, to empower young people and champion future skills.

We are excited to be advertising the role of Psychotherapy Service Manager at Respond, to lead our team and the development of our psychotherapy services with autistic people and people with learning disabilities who have experienced trauma and their families.  Many of our clients may have experienced complex or multiple traumatic experiences including sexual violence, domestic abuse and neglect.

The Psychotherapy Service provides predominantly longer-term therapeutic support of a year or more, depending on how the work is funded, to an average of 130 unique individuals per year.  The current team of 10 are made up of 4 senior therapists (reporting to the postholder), 4 therapists and 2 honoraries in training, the majority of whom are Arts therapists and work within a psychodynamic and/or systemic model.

We welcome applications from experienced Psychodynamic Counsellor/Psychotherapists, Arts therapists, Psychologists or Family Therapists who are passionate about our work. You will work psychodynamically, champion our trauma informed approach including our reflective practice model and have the opportunity to influence and shape the development of the psychotherapy service.  Leading the small team, you will provide clinical leadership and be Safeguarding lead, ensuring we continue to provide high quality psychotherapy services.  We are offering the role at 4-5 days per week, working in a hybrid manner flexibly. You can also hold your own small case load of clients, supervisees and/or consultancy work within the role.

This is a unique and specialist role and we recognise that you may have more experience in one clinical area or client group than another, given the breadth of our work and whilst you may be experienced in working psychodynamically as a therapist and as a line manager, you may be newer to leading a service for example.
