Job Purpose:

• Contribute to hyh’s overall Fundraising strategy as a member of the Fundraising Team
• Have day to day responsibility for the Individual Giving income stream
• Manage a portfolio of existing Individual Giving supporters, providing exceptional supporter care and building relationships, stewarding and nurturing existing donors.
• Improve supporter retention and maximise donors’ lifetime value to hyh
• Manage, develop and lead on the use of hyh’s CRM effectively to segment data and make insight-led decisions. This includes developing new reports, liaising with the external CRM consultant to make improvements, writing up procedures and training members of the team in best practice.
• Acquire and develop new donors through solicitation and stewardship plans using a supporter journey programme to build engagement and loyalty.
• Develop marketing and comms materials through digital and other channels to deliver the programme.
• Maximise all opportunities to develop regular giving, appeals, one-off occasion donations, in-mem and legacy

Job Title:  Finance Manager

Reporting to:  Director of Operations

Direct reports:  Finance Assistants x 2

Contract type: Fixed term (11 months) 28 or 35 hours a week.

Pay: £40,000 (or FTE if doing 28 hours a week)

Key responsibilities – Note the following list is not exhaustive and percentages are indicative only.

Oversight of accounting and cash management

Most of the detailed work in this section is undertaken by the direct reports with the oversight and management being provided by this Finance Manager role

· Appropriate recording, processing, coding, posting of all financial transactions – including but not limited to bank receipts and payments, accounts payable, accounts receivable, conference fee income, invoicing, journal entries.

· Regular timely bank reconciliations.

· Invoicing and credit control

· Chart of accounts structure and department codes

· Gift Aid claims

· VAT returns

· Foreign Speaker returns to HMRC

· Regular reconciliation of balance sheet accounts

· Manage the cash needed by the business, investing excess cash to maximise returns

· Manage fixed assets and related accounting

· Oversight, monitoring and management of key financials within our online event booking system including reconciliation of income recorded on the database to that actually received, with a target of reconciliation within 2 weeks of each month end.

HR Administration and Payroll

· Payroll - administration of and preparation of the payroll (Brightpay), including submissions in respect of HMRC and pensions.

· Management of staff holiday and sickness records

· Support of HR queries

Preparation of budgets and forecasts

· Management and preparation of the annual budget – including for example income (conference fees, product sales, advertising, onsite cafes), running costs (event production costs, team activity costs, honoraria) centralised costs (staff, overheads), departmental budgets (networking, marketing), capital and restricted funds etc.

· Update of forecasts as required with a target of quarterly reporting to Section Head budget managers and Director of Operations.

Reporting

· Management accounts/management information/data for regular quarterly report data as required including reporting on conference and product performance.

· Prepare year end accounts ready for review by Head of Finance.

· Reporting as required to review spending with department heads.

Management of the finance team

· Quarterly Reviews

· Day-to-day support

Oversight of financial management at conferences

· Systems with appropriate controls for the money arrangements at the gates, cafes sales and customer services (for eg Day tickets, programmes, coffee etc)

· Conference collections – counting, processing (Credit cards & Gift Aid), recording & banking

· Preparation of honoraria payments systems.

· Liaison with team leaders about their budgets

· Manage day to day requirements in the office on site

· Conference petty cash

· Oversee day to day requirements in the office on site

· Daily takings (cash & credit cards)  – counting, reconciling, recording and banking

• Work well with all members of the wider staff team

 Role Particulars - 

Working Pattern: Full time working hours, including weekly in-person team meetings in London: monthly all-staff meetings on Tuesdays twice a month, and weekly on Tuesdays twice a month.  The nature of this role means that some travel and working away from home will be required, as agreed in advance.  Specifically, the Finance Manager must be available for the annual leadership conference and some or all of the New Wine annual summer festival (on-site or remote support).  

Places of work: This role is eligible for hybrid and flexible working, with a minimum of 1 day in the London office a week. 

Supervision: The post holder will receive regular supervision from their line manager.  

Role review: There is a three-month probationary period for this role.  The post holder will then receive a quarterly rolling review of performance, the role, job description, terms and package.

Fundraising Public Relations Officer

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic PR and marketing professional in our London fundraising office to design and deliver creative, multi-channel, integrated fundraising and PR campaigns designed to significantly increase the Hospital’s voluntary income.

The success of this role will be dependent on engaging and building meaningful long-term relationships with both existing and new supporters through effective donor stewardship, attending events, and networking.  

The successful candidate will work in conjunction with a small, dedicated team to provide fundraising, comms, and event support to our community fundraising groups.  

High quality comms and media are going to be central to our plans to go public in a big way in 2024.  Creating high-quality, impactful, and engaging content for multimedia platforms will be key. You’ll be able to identify stories from across the organisation, draw out information and ideas from others, and successfully turn complicated or clinical information into clear, simple, and compelling narratives.  

The role requires a creative thinker with exceptional communication and leadership skills.

Main responsibilities:

Fundraising

· Develop and implement integrated fundraising, marketing and PR campaigns designed to significantly increase the Hospital’s voluntary income.

· Create and promote compelling and engaging content for web, social media, and email – ensuring that all comms have clear goals and outcomes.

· Manage the key relationships with the Guild fundraising Committee and the SOA fundraising committee including comms, marketing, and event support as well as helping to manage the key relationships with the Knights Templar sub-groups, and the County Priory Groups across the UK.  

· To put in place measures for evaluating the effectiveness of all fundraising, PR and marketing activity ensuring robust data collection, analysis procedures, and making suggestions for improvements where required.

· Manage the production of key organisational publications – including, the Jerusalem Scene magazine, Annual Report, Strategic Plan, Annual Leaflet, and other promotional materials.

· To work closely with the Executive Head of UK Office and project partners to deliver a new website, contributing expertise and ideas in regard to its look, feel and functionality.

· Take responsibility for the ongoing management and maintenance of the website, working with external consultants where required to resolve issues.  

· Understand and apply the principles of up-to-date SEO.

· Working with colleagues in Jerusalem to maintain a bank of compelling messages, narratives, and case studies for use across all external communications.

PR & Media

· To actively promote the charity’s fundraising endeavours including drafting all external and internal messaging to both new and existing supporters – e.g. email campaigns, newsletters, invitations, letters, speeches, presentations etc. for senior staff and volunteers.

· Managing press and media opportunities related to SJEHG’s fundraising activities.  

· Cultivate and maintain relationships with press and media, proactively pitching stories to secure media coverage, drafting press releases, media plans, articles, and other materials for SJEHG’s fundraising activities.

· To provide counsel and advice to senior leadership on external and internal messaging, as required.

Other

· To assist with the management of the marketing budget, monitoring expenses, ensuring cost effectiveness, seeking to maximise return on investment.

· To keep accurate records and help ensure effective data management processes across the organisation.

· Collaborate effectively with colleagues and a wide range of individuals and organisations.

Due to a restructure of the team, we are now looking for a Training Manager who can oversee the administration and delivery of the programme. Initially fixed term, it is anticipated that this post will become permanent. We are keen to have someone joiun us as soon as possible.

The Training Manager will work with the Head of Practice Development to ensure that the courses are full, supported, delivered effectively and evaluated. Part of the role will also be to source new trainers and support the creation of the programme into 2025.

The CVAA team work remotely across the UK so location of the postholder is not a barrier to recruitment as long as long as they can travel occasionally and come into London for team days. The team is small, diverse and dynamic. Experience of project management or delivery of training or events is more important than knowledge of adoption or children's social care. Role description

As Commercial Sales & Events Manager you’ll take the lead in maximising venue hire and events income to support the organisation’s charitable aims. You’ll possess the skills and experience to organise and deliver weddings, corporate events and venue hires and work with our outsourced caterers and other contractors to ensure a first-class customer experience. You’ll also be working with our outsourced film contractors to secure bookings for filming and photo shoots across the Estate. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills are a key part of the role, as you’ll be liaising with clients, contractors, suppliers and staff, as is the ability to develop new business and leads. In addition, you’ll need excellent project management skills and the ability to develop and manage budgets. You’ll be a health and safety champion and ensure a safe and welcoming environment for everyone. There is real variety to this role and an opportunity to work across all areas of the estate.

Our Events Officers work with colleagues across the Institute to deliver our range of public events, roundtables, workshops and conferences.

As part of the events team, within the wider communications team and reporting to the Head of Events, you will:

• Support the design and co-ordination of the Institute’s programme of public and private events, including panel discussions, conferences, receptions, workshops and roundtables.
• Manage all logistics and marketing for timely, professional event organisation and delivery.
• Help prepare for and deliver Institute events outside of London, including our party conference programme.
• Share management of the busy events email inbox and deal with internal and external event enquiries.

• Proven track record of identifying and securing 5-6 figure corporate partnerships.

About the role

Sense has a fantastic opportunity for someone to join our Engagement team as our Legacy Fundraising Officer. This is a full time position working 37.5 hours per week. This role will working flexibly between home and our office in King's Cross, London.

Over a third of Sense’s voluntary income comes from gifts in Wills. The successful candidate will play a key role in the development and delivery of the legacy marketing programme for existing and new supporters, in order to increase income from legacies and maintain and grow .our pipeline of legacy prospects.

Key Responsibilities

• To work closely with the Legacy Manager and Head of Individual Giving & Legacies in shaping and delivering the legacy marketing and administration programme to achieve annual income targets and other KPIs.
• To manage the delivery of legacy marketing projects from conception to delivery and evaluation in conjunction with the appropriate team members.
• Negotiate project costs with key suppliers to ensure projects are as cost-effective as possible.
• To actively participate in planning and review meetings with the Legacy team and other colleagues and key suppliers, and maintain a thorough understanding of latest developments, current trends, and legislation as it applies to the fundraising and legacy landscape.
• To project manage the development and delivery of legacy marketing activities across a variety of media to acquire new or steward existing legacy supporters to Sense. 
• To manage the annual legacy ‘Remember A Charity’ campaign raising awareness of legacy giving among internal stakeholders, their networks, supporters and the public

Key skills and experience

• Proven experience of managing all aspects of the delivery of successful fundraising direct marketing campaigns in a charity or not-for-profit setting from inception stage to post campaign analysis.  
• Self-starter and highly organised with an ability to work systemically to targets and deadlines.  
• Demonstrable experience of supporter acquisition, retention and development of supporters.
• Confident with data selections / segmentation and campaign analysis principles.
• Ability to confidently manage all stages of direct marketing based fundraising campaigns across a range of media including Telephone, Direct Mail, Email and SMS to deliver successful fundraising campaigns. 
• A good eye for design and a proven creative flair, with some copywriting / editing experience and an impeccable attention to detail.
