LMK’s Head of Programmes leads, develops and delivers LMKs high quality education programmes for young people and the trusted adults around them, ensuring our programmes are responsive to the changing experiences of young people and the feedback from our programme evaluation. Leading a passionate and talented team of employees and freelance youth workers, this role is an important ambassadorial role for LMK, bringing gravitas and insight from your experience of education provision to evidence LMK’s impact to fellow education professionals, youth workers, funders and the media. Working with the CEO, and our Youth Advisory Board, this role helps shape the strategic direction for LMK. 

Working from home, but with regular travel around London so must be based in or near London.

We are seeking a strategic and forward-thinking Head of Development to join our senior leadership team. This pivotal role will drive our growth agenda, ensuring new opportunities are identified, developed and delivered to support the continued success and impact of OHC&AT.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research and identify opportunities for growth, including expansion of existing provisions, acquiring schools/college centres and developing new service models

• Lead on feasibility assessments and the development of strategic business cases for agreed projects.

• Lead on statutory consultations and Equality Impact Assessments as required

• Lead on the submission of bids and proposals to external partners and agencies as required.

• Undertake due diligence for new schools and college centres joining OHC&AT.

Essential Criteria:

• CIPD Level 5 minimum.
• Proven track record in HR/People roles, including managing complex employee relations cases (grievance, disciplinary, absence and performance management) providing guidance to managers and supporting individuals through processes.
• Experience managing payroll processes, either directly or through outsourced providers, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proven experience leading end-to-end recruitment, including role scoping, advertising, shortlisting, interviewing, and selection.
• Experience designing and delivering onboarding and induction programmes that support new staff to integrate effectively and feel engaged from the outset.
• Experience of drafting HR policies and procedures and conducting gap analysis on HR systems.
• Experience supporting managers and advising through consultation processes such as TUPE and/or redundancy.
• Strong organisational, communication, and conflict resolution skills.

• Understanding of trauma-informed approaches and a commitment to developing organisational culture to ensure inclusion and diversity.

Job Summary

The People Administrator supports the effective delivery of all employee life cycle activities. With a focus on ensuring processes are followed accurately, efficiently, in line with audit and compliance standards and enabling a positive employee experience.

This is a cross-functional role, working closely with Head of People, to ensure smooth onboarding, offboarding, and employee changes. Plus supporting the board of trustees with email communication, booking meetings and collating responses to policy sign off and checking availability for main board and subcommittee meetings.

The People Administrator will be the first point of contact for employee queries related to policies, systems, and HR processes.

General People Administration & Support

• Act as the first point of contact for People-related queries, providing support both face-to-face and electronically, ensuring professional and timely responses.
• Work with others across the organisation to promote awareness and provide support where required on EDI and internal Access.
• Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Head of People, including data entry, booking & delivering inductions, photocopying, scanning, preparing contractual documentation, and general correspondence.
• Maintain accurate and efficient records of all People-related activities, ensuring data is securely stored and handled in compliance with GDPR legislation.
• Monitor and manage the People and Recruitment emails, responding to and redirecting enquiries efficiently and appropriately.
• Assist with the consistent application of HOME’s policies and procedures, offering guidance to employees as required.
• Plan and organise own workload to meet deadlines, contributing to the wider People team’s service objectives.
• Ensure complete confidentiality and integrity in all aspects of the role, particularly when handling sensitive information.

Recruitment, Onboarding and Offboarding

• Support the coordination and administration of recruitment campaigns with Hiring Managers, including advertising roles, scheduling interviews, and processing candidates via the recruitment procedures.
• Deliver effective onboarding and induction processes for new starters, ensuring all steps are followed and documented, and contributing to a positive candidate experience.
• Assist with job offer processes, including drafting conditional offer letters, conducting reference checks, verifying right-to-work documentation, and updating relevant systems.
• Ensure effective communication with the Payroll Officer in relation to new starters and leavers, including checking accrued holiday balances prior to confirming leaver letters.
• Respond to reference requests for current and former employees in a timely manner.

People Systems, Data & Reporting

• Confidently use systems and other digital tools to input and maintain people’s data accurately.
• Run regular reports and provide performance or management information (MI) within agreed timescales.
• Analyse data to validate accuracy and identify trends or issues that require further attention.

· Maintain and update organisation charts and headcount data on a monthly basis

· Contribute to regular updating of the People section of the intranet.

• Carry out general People administration and maintain electronic based systems for all staff including existing and new employee details, annual leave, leaver administration, payroll changes, absence and training records.

Meetings & Communication & Board Support

• Provide administrative support for employee relations casework and people-related projects, including scheduling, document preparation, and note-taking.
• Attend and provide support at formal meetings, including disciplinary, grievance, or performance reviews, as required.
• Accurately take and distribute minutes for internal meetings, including Board, Committee, and annual staff meetings.
• Set up and coordinate meeting logistics (both virtual and in-person), including booking rooms, IT setup, and arranging access or other relevant requirements.
• Arrange and distribute board papers as directed by the CEO, record responses, and manage related meeting logistics.
• Be the key contact with the Board of Trustees – arranging the Board meetings and other engagements with them.
• Manage Companies House & Charity Commission submissions for Trustees, act as a custodian of their information and documents.

Continuous Improvement and Projects

• Support the delivery and organisation of ad-hoc People projects/ events, wellbeing activities, and internal engagement initiatives.

Head of the Children and Young People’s Mental Health Coalition
(Hosted by Centre for Mental Health)

We are seeking an outstanding senior leader to become Head of our small staff team which drives the growth and influence of the Children and Young People’s Mental Health Coalition. This is an exciting opportunity to influence positive change at a time of significant policy and political developments.

As Head of the Coalition, you will lead its policy and influencing activity. You will work closely with coalition members to develop policy positions informed by the latest and most robust evidence, ensuring a strong and credible voice. You will campaign to influence government policy on children and young people’s mental health, build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, and ensure the Coalition’s voice is heard across Westminster, Whitehall and in the media.

With over 400 members nationwide, the Coalition has significant potential to expand its impact. Many members already influence locally through NHS Integrated Care Boards, councils and MPs, but need support and coordination to amplify their voices. You will help them do so.

We are looking for someone with exceptional project management skills to help shape and deliver our influencing goals, while clearly demonstrating our impact. Most importantly, you will bring passion and commitment to improving the mental health of babies, children and young people.

• Provide strategic leadership for the Coalition, which is hosted by Centre for Mental Health, delivering its objectives and vision.

About Shout Out UK (SOUK):

Shout Out UK (SOUK) is a UK-based award-winning political and media literacy organisation with nearly a decade of experience in delivering impactful educational campaigns. Our mission is to defend and amplify democracy by equipping individuals with the critical thinking skills needed to navigate the complex information landscape and engage as informed, active citizens. We have a strong track record of working with educators and young people across various contexts, and we are the secretariat for the UK’s All-Party Parliamentary Group for Political and Media Literacy.

The Position:

You will be joining our small, passionate NGO to lead our resource development. Reporting directly to the Head of Programmes, you will be tasked with developing and producing educational programmes and materials on topics such as Political & Media Literacy, counter-extremism, and online safety. This will involve ensuring resource related KPIs are met within budget and on time, alongside supporting our Head of Programmes in coordinating delivery of projects. Some projects may be handled by you directly at times. Projects and resources can vary from developing media literacy workshops for schools, creating digital assets for counter-extremism training and campaigns, to planning content for city-wide democratic engagement campaigns.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, update and design learning and campaign resources for schools, colleges and for digital campaigns.

Overall Purpose of the Head of Services

This new role reports to the Chief Executive and is a member of the charity’s Senior Leadership Team (SLT).  The role reflects planned development and expansion in the charity’s direct service provision including the development of a permanent Helpline following a pilot project in 2025.

This is an exciting opportunity for a senior retail professional to bring an entrepreneurial vision and shape this area of income for the charity. You will be responsible for managing their current commercial businesses and seeking out new, exciting commercial opportunities to support annual profit growth. You will also inspire and manage a diverse team of staff and volunteers and ensuring delivery of project milestones and financial targets.

The successful candidate will have retail sector management and development at a senior level, alongside experience of e-commerce, multi-site management and strategic planning and development. You will have a proven track record in people management across paid and volunteer resource and the charity would like to see evidence of driving profit improvement by at least 20% within a three year period. Alongside your strong commercial and financial acumen, you will have plenty of ideas about new business opportunities and/or experience of development and trialling of new business and alternative trading models. The successful candidate will be engaging, experienced and have a proven record across high value fundraising (with a preference for major donor/philanthropy, trusts and corporate partnerships), as well as having a good knowledge of Individual Giving.

About this role

This is an exciting leadership opportunity for a strategic, passionate advocate to drive SPANA’s global policy influence and advocacy agenda. As Head of Advocacy, you will shape and implement our advocacy strategy, engage with national and international policy institutions, support global partners with advocacy tools and training, and ensure that working animal welfare is prioritised across global agendas. 

You will be a high-profile ambassador for the charity, building relationships, driving coalitions and ensuring our policy work is informed, inclusive and impactful. This is a full-time (34.5 hours per week), permanent role. This role is UK based, hybrid working with regular attendance (approximately 1-2 days per month, or more if preferred) in our London office. Candidates must have the right to work in the UK currently and for the duration of the contract.

Job Summary 

The Head of Student Representation is a critical member of the Students’ Union’s Delivery senior team and leads Durham SU’s work in influencing Durham University in students’ academic interests, through the support of student leaders and volunteers. The Head manages the Student Voice team, which coordinate support for academic representatives, and which provides policy advice to student leaders and the Durham SU senior staff.

The Head is also the operational lead for data protection, information governance, and data analysis. 

Key Responsibilities and Duties 

The Head of Student Representation is responsible for the performance, growth and sustainability of Durham SU’s professional staff team and volunteers, organised to support faculty and academic representatives.

In particular, the Head will: 

• Lead effective support for Durham student leaders who want to help make Durham University education better and fairer. 

• Anticipate and respond to student need in their education, seek and seize opportunity, and manage risk. 

• Ensure that Durham SU and its student leaders can, and do, speak with authority on matters impacting Durham students’ education, on behalf of the wider student community. 

• Provide advice and make recommendations to student leaders, Durham SU senior staff and the Board of Trustees on policy development within their area of responsibility. 

• Support the Deputy Chief Executive in the development and maintenance of relationships with Durham University’s academic and professional staff. 

The Head of Student Representation will be accountable for: 

• Leadership across the newly formed Delivery function in the SU – working closely alongside the Head of Community and the Deputy Chief Executive to provide a high-quality experience to Students’ Union stakeholders

• Managing their team efficiently, effectively and consistently with Durham SU’s values, within agreed targets, to meet agreed outcomes. 

• Delivery of research, reports, consultations and project outcomes as agreed with Durham University (for example, access and participation fund work, responses to the Teaching Excellence Framework, the National Student Survey, etc). 

• Successful support offers for academic communities within four faculties, including academic representatives and academic student groups

• Durham SU’s responsible and effective use of student data and insight, including the management of large data transfers from Durham University to Durham SU.

• Supporting the successful delivery of student elections to ensure high levels of engagement, experience and turnout.
