Our clients are mostly long-term unemployed and have experienced repeated rejections from multiple jobs: 40% have been unemployed for over a year, 20% have applied to over 20 jobs and 23% have applied to over 50 jobs. The majority are also from minoritised communities and face intersectional barriers to employment: 32% are lone parents, 16% consider themselves to have a disability and 52 % are from an ethnic minority.

With the support of the Greater London Authority (GLA), Smart Works is about to begin an innovative employment project to connect underrepresented women across London with high-quality job opportunities. Over the next 12 months, this project will place women directly into good work within priority sectors, whilst also helping employers build more inclusive recruitment pipelines and practices. 

The Employer Engagement Manager will be central to the success of this project. Reporting to the Head of Programmes, they will lead on employer engagement and job brokerage for Smart Works. They will act as a primary contact for the GLA, ensuring effective partnership working and the delivery of ambitious outcomes for both clients and employers.

As the Head of Engagement and Communications, you’ll support the Executive Director in leading AMOSSHE as a senior leader. You’ll also act as the Deputy Director, contributing to operational management, strategic development and stepping in for the Executive Director as needed. You’ll have line management responsibilities for members of the team. As well, you’ll be responsible for shaping and delivering impactful communications strategies that drive member engagement, promote AMOSSHE’s events and initiatives, and elevate the organisation’s profile.

Contract type: Permanent, full time (37 hours a week).

Location: Hybrid. Two days (Tuesday and Wednesday) in the office, central London. This is a requirement of the role.

Salary range: £45,000 to £50,000, with an expected starting salary between £45,000 and £47,000, depending on experience.

The Churchill Fellowship:

Purpose of the role:

The Head of Fellowship is responsible for the delivery of the Churchill Fellowship’s annual Fellowship Programme, overseeing all stages from pre-application support, through selection and award, to Fellows’ global learning. The role ensures processes are inclusive, transparent, and of the highest quality, embedding equity, diversity, inclusion, and safeguarding at every stage.

Working closely with the Fellowship Director and senior leadership, the postholder supports applicants and Fellows with guidance and feedback, strengthens the Fellowship model, ensures it runs smoothly and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Delivery of Fellowship Programme:

• Lead on and manage the full Fellowship selection process, from pre-application to final award, ensuring alignment with TCF’s EDI values and strategic priorities.
• Continuously review and improve application and selection process, documentation, and candidate guidance.
• Provide clear, constructive feedback to applicants at all stages of the selection process.

Overseas Learning:

• Oversee the support provided to Fellows during their overseas learning, working closely with the Fellowship Manager to ensure guidance and resources meet individual needs.
• Authorise Fellowship grant payments for overseas learning, ensuring compliance with Fellowship model guidelines and organisational policies.

 

Collaboration and Engagement

• Contribute to the design of new Fellowship programmes, led by the Engagement team, and lead on operationalising these programmes during the application cycle.
• Continue to develop your own knowledge to ensure applicants and Fellows receive high-quality support and guidance throughout the process.
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of the Fellowship programme.
• Represent TCF at Fellow-led and other relevant sector events as appropriate.

 

Safeguarding, EDI, and Fellowship Model

• Act as a member of the Designated Safeguarding Team, ensuring compliance and best practice.
• Lead on embedding EDI principles throughout the Fellowship model, working with the Chief Executive, Head of Activate and People and Culture Manager to ensure that accessibility, fairness and inclusivity are built into every stage of the process.
• Work with the Fellowship Director to continually enhance the candidate and panellist experience.
• Partner with the Salesforce team to ensure systems and processes support the successful programme delivery.
• Stay informed of sector trends, research, and innovative and equitable approaches to supporting individuals to learn and grow, applying learning to TCF’s work.
• Work with the Fellowship Manager and team to ensure risk assessments, insurance and safety plans for Fellows’ travel and events are proportionate, meet best practice and are compliant.
• Maintain awareness of global and societal trends that may impact Fellows’ safety and/or the design of the Fellowship model.

Leadership and Team Management

• Line manage the Fellowship Manager and Fellowship Officer, supporting their development and performance in delivering team and organisational objectives.
• Work closely with the Fellowship Director and Head of Activate to foster an inclusive, collaborative, and supportive team culture, encouraging innovation, reflective practice and shared learning.

General

• Ensure all Fellowship programme activity complies with organisational policies, safeguarding requirements, GDPR, and data protection standards.
• Contribute to organisational initiatives and cross-team projects, supporting the wider strategic goals of The Churchill Fellowship.
• This role may occasionally require working outside standard hours, to support Fellowship interviews, events, or external engagements.

As Head of Audience Strategy, you will develop a comprehensive strategy that delivers a step-change in the maturity and effectiveness of audience insight at Alzheimer’s Society. You will lead senior conversations across the Society about what we know and wish to achieve with our audiences and constantly seek opportunities for your team to support others to enhance their impact and deepen their engagement.

About you
Joining us, you’ll have experience in developing and implementing audience or engagement strategies, and extensive experience of diverse qualitative and quantitative research methods and data analysis. You will also be able to demonstrate proven ability to synthesise these insights and apply them to all levels of the marketing funnel, across cold and warm audiences.

Crucially, you’ll be able to build positive relationships, influence key stakeholders and use your communication and leadership skills to manage and motivate cross-functional teams. You’ll be able to take a holistic view across the areas you manage and use this insight to contribute to organisational strategy through an audience development lens.

You don’t need to have a background in the charity sector, and you may or may not have a connection to dementia, you might be an accomplished Audience Insight professional looking for progression or be an established senior leader in this area already. We’re interested to hear from you if you feel that your skills and experience could be transferred to this role. We hope the Society’s purpose and ambition resonates with you, and you’ll be motivated to help drive significant growth across all our engagement channels in the coming years.

What you’ll focus on:

- Developing and implementing a Society-wide audience strategy that demonstrably helps to drive growth by clearly laying out the key groups that Alzheimer’s Society needs to engage (including how and why) to progress different areas of our activity.
- Supporting senior stakeholders to create sub-strategies that help directorates and departments working on specific activities, campaigns, content and channels to clarify their target audiences for engagement (acquisition and retention) to drive growth and impact.
- Acting as our leading ambassador and spokesperson for audience strategy and insight, representing our audience knowledge and approach in senior forums as well as with key external partners (e.g. media and creative agencies).
- Leading the evaluation of you and your team’s contribution, developing a high-performance culture rooted in continuous improvement and a growth mindset. In addition to demonstrating the benefits of a more strategic approach to audience insight in terms of driving growth and impact.
- Oversee the co-ordinated delivery of high-quality insight, analysis and delivery from your teams, ensuring that their outputs meet the strategic and operational needs of the Society at large, and individual marketing and engagement teams.
- Using your understanding of our audiences and audience strategies to ensure our policies, processes and systems are optimised to grow engagement in line with our ambitions.

Role purpose:

A member of the Senior Management Team providing management and direction to the Support Services to deliver The Stoll Foundation’s strategic objectives. This role is to provide operational oversight of tenant support and engagement services, ensuring vulnerable veterans are empowered, well-supported, and actively involved in shaping the services they receive. The role is central to fostering inclusive communities, improving tenancy sustainment, and enhancing resident wellbeing through collaborative, person-centred approaches.

To manage all Support Services across Soll, plus outreach services with partners.

Key responsibilities:

· Responsible to the Director of Support and Tenant Engagement for providing leadership and management of the Support Team in the provision of person-centred services, plus ensuring tenants are actively engaged in line with our Beneficiary Involvement policy.

· Implemented strategic objectives that align with our organisational goals. Ensuring that agreed outcomes are met, while actively monitoring progress.

· Present regular management information and detailed reports on key performance indicators, providing insights to guide decision-making and enhance service delivery. Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement, driving our mission to provide quality supported housing solutions for the community.

· Act as Safeguarding Lead.

· Deputise for the Director as required.

Management of Support Services

· Take on a strategic lead with other agencies including housing, health and social care professionals as required.

· Manage and maintain services in accordance with the principles and practice of equality and diversity.

· Ensure Support Plans and Risk Assessments are undertaken in line with Stoll’s policies and procedures.

· Ensure that there is a menu of health and wellbeing services provided, in consultation with beneficiaries.

• Significant experience of managing and leading Support Services at a senior level, working with adults.

High Trees Community Development Trust is seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Community Action to join our senior management team and lead one of our core service areas.

This is an exciting and important role within our work, continually shaped by the needs and priorities of the communities we work alongside. While the focus of our Community Action service evolves year on year, it always centres on social action, capacity building, and strengthening community voice.

This coming year will see this work expand rapidly, following High Trees’ successful bid to deliver the local authority contract for capacity building support to voluntary and community sector (VCS) organisations across Lambeth. We are particularly keen to hear from candidates with experience in this area – although more important are the leadership, skills and aptitude to successfully oversee the delivery of this vital workstream. The service also plays a central role in driving forward social action within our flagship partnerships, including Building Young Brixton, the Lambeth Peer Action Collective, and the Lambeth Community Research Network – helping to ensure communities take a leading role in action linked to research and advocacy.

The Head of Community Action leads on a diverse range of areas, which shift each year in response to community needs and opportunities to strengthen civic voice and local infrastructures. In recent years, this has included supporting residents to lead community organising campaigns to improve the built environment, coordinating digital inclusion initiatives during the Covid-19 pandemic, capacity building Tenants and Residents Associations and supporting the creation of local neighbourhood plans that put residents’ voices at the centre of decision-making.
