Purpose of the role 

The purpose of this role is to increase the fundraising capability of The Vitiligo Society and secure the income we need to deliver our support to those affected by vitiligo. It is part of our new fundraising strategy.

Reporting to the Charity Director you will take the lead on establishing a fundraising programme. You will also support our community and membership fundraising, recruiting and supporting volunteer fundraisers and helping to improve and maintain our membership & donation processes.

Your Experience

We are looking for a candidate who has a background in charity fundraising, in particular community, Trust and Foundation fundraising.

Key responsibilities

Fundraising from Trusts and Foundations

Leading on applications to trusts and foundations with input from the Charity Director and delivery teams as needed, incl:

• Writing and submitting high quality applications to trusts and foundations that reflect The Vitiligo Society  and our members' stories.

• Researching potential charitable trusts and foundations to approach for funding.

• Build and maintain positive relationships with key personnel in relevant funding organisations.

• Support monitoring and evaluation and coordinate relevant reporting to funders.

• Establishing and maintaining a funders database within our existing CRM system.

Community Fundraising

• Assisting with improving the processes for donations from individuals.

• Working in cooperation with the staff, trustees and volunteers to develop and deliver up to 3 fundraising campaigns per year (a minimum of 1).

• Recruiting and supporting community volunteers to undertake fundraising activities.

Other Fundraising

• Working with the Charity Director to develop the organisation’s Trusts and Community fundraising strategy.

• Assist with the development of a corporate fundraising strategy as appropriate.

• Assist with the reporting on income generation and evaluating progress.

• Keeping up to date with best practice in fundraising and fundraising trends.

People Management 

• Oversee the engagement of volunteer fundraisers, supporting them to undertake community fundraising activities and sharing their stories to inspire others. 

• Build, and encourage, positive working relationships with other staff to ensure members receive relevant information at the right time and that communications reflect the lived experience of individuals affected by vitiligo.

General

• Working within the The Vitiligo Society ethos and values.

• Be part of a rota of staff & volunteers answering the Society's helpline

• Attend The Vitiligo Society events when required, which may include planning and attending support events virtually and in person. 

• Be part of the rota for checking The Vitiligo Society’s social media outside normal office hours.

• Support content creation for The Vitiligo Society, by identifying potential case studies and stories.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the National Lottery Community Fund in a pivotal role in which you’ll shape the future of funding policy and practice across the organisation. • Gather insights from both internal and external sources to assess the current funding landscape and guide decision-making in policy development and support for good funding practice.
• Act as an ambassador for the programme, advocating for it at senior leadership levels, with the Board and across the organisation to ensure alignment with broader goals.
• Establish and maintain clear governance frameworks to manage decision-making processes and prioritise policy development.
• Foster collaboration across various teams to ensure seamless implementation of policies and initiatives.

The primary focus for the new role is to generate sustainable charitable giving from individuals, maintaining and growing our Friends memberships and developing significant income from major donors. We are a leading choral singing organisation and run residential summer courses for children and young people. Our artistic director, Ralph Allwood, founded the organisation 45 years ago, since when over 10,000 young people have benefited from our life-changing courses. Nowadays, around one third of students receive generous bursary support to attend a course and we also work with a range of partner organisations to encourage even more young people from diverse backgrounds to take part in our choral singing courses. We want to secure the future of the organisation and increase the number of students we can support by significantly growing our individual  giving.

We are looking for an experienced fundraiser to work up to 2 days per week on a freelance basis to help us move up a gear or two in terms of our fundraising, specifically to develop private giving from our extensive alumni network and the many successful individuals who feel music education at a young age made them the person they are today.

About this role:

The main duties and responsibilities for the Heads of Development role are as follows:

INDIVIDUAL GIVING

· Maintain and build relationships with our donors, and identify new individuals who would like to see the Rodolfus Choral Foundation thrive

· Use our extensive alumni list to source and maintain donors

· Use contacts from the artistic director and trustees to generate new donors

·  Ensure that our top and potential donors are well looked after and researched, passing on key information to the Artistic Director and, where appropriate, arranging meetings between him and our donors

· Organise and co-host special donor events in unique venues

· Plan and help organise membership events for donors

· Help establish a legacy giving scheme for Rodolfus

· Have overall responsibility for reaching individual giving targets

· Develop a five-year Fundraising Strategy

· Set ambitious but achievable targets for each year, within the overall Rodolfus budget

TRUSTS AND GRANT-MAKING BODIES

· Proof and submit applications and be the point of contact for Trusts and Foundations (this work is currently supported by the General Manager and a fundraising consultant)

GENERAL

· Attend Team and Board meetings as required

We are looking for a committed, highly organised Head of Operations to join us and support JustMoney Movement's Executive Director and the wider team in turning our vision of a fairer, greener future into reality.

Background to the organisation and the role 

The JustMoney Movement is a Christian charity, with longstanding relationships across the Catholic, Anglican, Nonconformist and Pentecostal denominations. We have a vision of a fairer, greener future, and we believe money is integral to shaping that future. As Christians we believe our use of money should flow from our faith and values such as justice, compassion, the dignity of all, and the importance of caring for creation.

Our work is mostly online and our team work largely remotely, with some team members coming together in a shared office space in London regularly. We are a very small team, punching above our weight and seeking to have a significant impact on economic and financial system change. We are a values-led organisation putting a high store on the wellbeing of our staff, the quality of our relationships and collaborations, and the integrity of our ways of working.   

Our vision, strategy and activities 

The financial system and wider economy are harming people and planet, leading to crises in our climate and nature and to huge economic inequalities. We rebranded from ECCR to the JustMoney Movement in 2022 to reflect our aim to build a movement of people seeking a more just use of money. Our theory of change is that we need to draw together a diverse range of Christians, churches and Christian networks, as part of a broader movement, to help create political space for financial and wider economic system transformation.

This role: Head of Operations (part-time 14 hours a week) 

The Head of Operations will work closely with the ED and support the team in the smooth running of the organisation. 

Role Requirements

Shelter Scotland is a one of six Directorates of Shelter. Led by the Director of Shelter Scotland, the Directorate comprises two departments: Community & Services and Communications & Advocacy. Both of these departments are led by an Assistant Director (AD).

The National Lottery Community Fund is seeking a Head of Media. In this new role, created as part of our newly restructured and ambitious communications function, you will be growing and developing a team of 10 (5 direct reports) to lead the external communications in support of our Strategy, It starts with community.

You'll have the chance to shape this critical leadership position in ways that will define our external voice and influence for years to come. In this strategic role, you will increase public understanding of the Fund as a champion of community power, bringing to life how we strengthen society and improve lives across the UK, directly advancing our strategic objectives in each of the four nations.

As a member of the communications leadership team, you will:

• develop compelling value propositions and campaigns for our four missions designed to resonate with decision-makers, policymakers, and communities of all kinds.
• ·oversee our comprehensive content calendar and planning processes across earned, owned and shared media.

We're looking for a strategic communications leader with significant experience at senior level in media, social media and external communications. The ideal candidate will bring:

• a sophisticated understanding of the UK media landscape, including national, regional, devolved and trade media

• understanding of the impact of the changing traditional and digital media environment and the challenges that presents to reaching diverse audiences.

Are you an experienced Chartered Financial Accountant, with extensive experience working in Financial Operations (FinOps) within international charities? The organisation is a charity founded in 2018 by families bereaved by gambling-related suicide. They operate the UK's only specialist support service for people affected by gambling-related suicide. Their work prevents gambling-related harm for those who gamble and prevents those impacted by a gambling-related suicide from suffering additional harm.

This role is offered on a flexible 6-month contract basis paying a salary between £55,000 to £60,000 per annum pro rata with remote working arrangements and occasional staff meetings.

The Head of Fundraising is responsible for developing and delivering the fundraising strategy to support the charity’s work across its programme areas, including the family support, research, and prevention. They will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer and colleagues across the organisation to deliver a multi-income stream plan. They will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with funders to promote ongoing support. Critically, the post holder will be responsible for developing fundraising propositions in response to the new statutory levy on gambling operators and ensuring the long-term sustainability of the charity’s funding pipeline.

What You’ll Do

 Advocacy & Policy Influence

• Lead the delivery of advocacy strategies to raise awareness about the benefits of family-based care and the harms of institutions, including orphanages
• Manage MJF Global’s advocacy partnerships, supporting joint campaigns and influencing initiatives
• Oversee project-based public affairs and PR efforts, coordinating with agencies, consultants and media stakeholders where needed

Responsibilities

Fundraising Strategy & Innovation:

• Design and deliver a fundraising strategy that scales ProVeg’s income from major donors, climate (and other relevant) foundations, and institutional funders.
• Identify and pursue new revenue streams aligned with our climate and food system mission.
  Collaborate with leadership to strengthen our theory of change, donor engagement frameworks, and funding cases.

Donor & Stakeholder Engagement:

• Cultivate and steward relationships with high-net-worth individuals, trusts, foundations, corporate contacts and strategic partners.

Qualifications

Required:

• Minimum 5 years of senior-level fundraising experience, ideally with major donors and foundations in the US and/or Europe.

• Experience working in international NGOs or with cross-country fundraising collaboration.
• Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills across sectors and cultures.
• Strong writing and proposal development skills.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills (minimum C2-level English).

This is a new role within the Bereavement Support Service proactively engaging bereaved families with the support service, respond to bereavement support digital enquiries, working in a team to deliver and ensure anyone seeking advice and support on bereavement is given a high-quality service in a timely way.

The aim of this post is to provide consistent, high-quality emotional support via digital channels to bereaved families who seek support from the Lullaby Trust.

Main duties and responsibilities

1. Proactively engage bereaved families with the support service, respond to bereavement support digital enquiries, working in a team to deliver and ensure anyone seeking advice and support on bereavement is given a high-quality service in a timely way.

· Assist with the setting up of new digital channels to be used by the Lullaby Trust to answer and respond to bereaved families.

· To be the primary contact for the bereavement support digital services including WhatsApp, text, webchat and other social media channels.

· Proactively engage with bereaved families through social media and other online platforms.

· Ensure any safeguarding concerns are actioned in accordance with the organisations Safeguarding policy.

· Send materials to bereaved contacts, including bereavement packs and follow up emails and ensure all documents and databases are updated with each contact in line with the department guidelines, including Raiser’s Edge, Excel databases.

· Cover and answer the bereavement support helpline and online enquiries responding within the set guidelines and KPIs for the department.

· Ensure any messages on Bereavement Support Facebook Groups are monitored and advice is given via befrienders where appropriate.

· Attend face to face events for bereaved families including family days and memorial events when needed.

· Work with Income and Engagement Team around social media bereavement support content/posts.

2. Deliver and run live bereavement themed sessions on social media

· Run monthly live sessions on social media on bereavement topics/themes, responding to comments and messages during and after the sessions, ensuring anyone seeking ongoing support is responded to and referred to relevant services .

· Work with the Engagement Team to promote live session.

· Facilitate monthly remembrance sessions.

3. Ensure the bereavement support services are promoted to those bereaved and to professionals working with bereaved families

· Assist with the recruitment and facilitation of Bereaved Families’ Panel.

· Keep up to date with the bereavement support world including joining National Bereavement Alliance, Child Bereavement Network and research around grief and bereavement.

· Attend events as required to represent the Lullaby Trust’s bereavement support services.

4. Maintain accurate records throughout all services, complying with the organisation’s recording and reporting requirements

Maintain ongoing knowledge and training on the Lullaby Trust’s advice and the scientific knowledge behind this advice.

Collate statistics, as required on areas of work within the support services team.

Assist with the services’ evaluation and impact processes.

Provide other administrative support to the team as required.

Other:

Attend and participate with external supervision sessions, managerial supervision and team and organisational meetings.
