Volunteer Kind CIC is an emerging volunteer-led organisation dedicated to supporting, valuing and championing volunteers across the UK. We believe that while volunteers play a vital role in strengthening communities, many face challenges such as isolation, burnout, limited access to support and a lack of recognition for the contribution they make. Our mission is to change that by creating resources, wellbeing initiatives, learning opportunities and supportive communities designed specifically for volunteers.

We are seeking an ambitious and strategic volunteer Head of Fundraising to help us secure the funding and partnerships needed to grow our impact and turn our vision into reality.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our leadership team during a key stage of development and play a central role in shaping the future of the organisation.

What Will You Be Doing?

As Head of Fundraising, you will provide strategic leadership for all fundraising activities and help create a sustainable funding model for Volunteer Kind. 

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and overseeing our fundraising strategy.
• Identifying opportunities for grant, trust and foundation funding.
• Supporting the development of compelling funding applications and bids.
• Exploring new income-generation opportunities and fundraising initiatives.
• Building relationships with funders, supporters and corporate partners.
• Supporting the development of fundraising materials and cases for support.
• Working with the leadership team to establish fundraising priorities and targets.
• Helping recruit and support fundraising volunteers as the organisation grows.
• Acting as an ambassador for Volunteer Kind CIC and helping raise awareness of our mission.

What Are We Looking For?

We are particularly interested in hearing from people who have experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Fundraising strategy.
• Grant and trust fundraising.
• Bid writing.
• Corporate fundraising or partnerships.
• Business development.
• Income generation.
• Philanthropy or donor engagement.

You do not need experience in every area, but we are looking for someone who:

• Is passionate about volunteering and community impact.
• Can think strategically and see the bigger picture.
• Has strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Is comfortable taking initiative and working independently.
• Enjoys turning ideas into practical outcomes.
• Shares our belief that volunteers deserve support too.

Time Commitment

• Approximately 4-8 hours per month.
• Fully remote and flexible.
• Attendance at online leadership meetings.
