SolarAid is recruiting for a Director of Finance & Organisational Effectiveness to lead our finance function and enhance operational excellence across our charity and social enterprise group. The position is full-time, based in the UK, with hybrid working arrangements. The salary offered is £60,000 to £68,000 depending on experience.

As a key strategic partner to the CEO and a core member of the Senior Management Team, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping the direction and performance of SolarAid and our social enterprise SunnyMoney. This role oversees finance, planning, IT, facilities, HR liaison, policy, and governance – ensuring strong systems and structures support our mission to achieve 100% energy access for the hardest to reach communities across Sub-Saharan Africa,

We’re looking for a qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or CIPFA) with senior-level charity finance experience, excellent analytical and leadership skills, and a strong track record in organisational operations and governance.

Debt Advisor

The Advice Services directorate at Toynbee Hall is central to our commitment to address and alleviate poverty in London and beyond. Specialising in debt, welfare benefits, legal support, and generalist advice, our directorate has proven instrumental in significantly enhancing the financial wellbeing of those we serve. Last year alone, our efforts helped individuals and families to be over £23 million better off, showcasing the direct impact of our work.

Scope of role

The Debt Advisor is responsible for providing comprehensive, video debt advice to prisoners across thirteen (13) HMPPS sites, tailored to their specific circumstances. This role involves conducting detailed interviews to understand clients’ financial problems, researching options, and helping clients make informed decisions. The advisor ensures income maximisation and provides ongoing casework support, acting on behalf of clients where necessary. Maintaining up-to-date case records and staying informed about relevant legislation, policies, and procedures are crucial aspects of the role. The Debt Advisor is also expected to complete continuous professional development and contribute to the team’s overall objectives by meeting targets, prioritising workloads, and demonstrating financial efficiency. The may also be required to attend meetings on-site at various prisons and host workshops for prisoners.

Key Responsibilities

Accurate, effective and individually tailored advice

• Interviewing those that access our service using sensitive listening and questioning skills to allow them to explain their problem(s) and empower them to set their own priorities.
• Researching and exploring options and implications so that those accessing our service can make informed decisions.
• Providing in-depth quality advice and on-gong casework, including acting for the client where necessary using appropriate communication skills and channels.

Detailed case records

• Maintaining detailed case records, ensuring that all work meets all auditing and quality standards and the requirements of the funder.
• Ensuring all case records and written up in a timely manner.

Up-to-date training

• Completing a minimum of 16 hours/ equivalent of technical debt advice DPD accredited training or qualifying activity.
• Maintaining an up-to-date record of all training sessions.

Teamwork

• Work to an agreed work-plan, meeting targets and milestones, whilst prioritising and managing your own workload.
• Be an active member of the team, identifying opportunities for your own development, and demonstrating financial efficiency and value for money throughout your work.
• Compliance with Toynbee Hall policies and procedures, including health and safety.

Other

• Travel to HMPPS sites as required
• Undertake additional tasks as delegated by DFA Management

To deliver sessions to children, young people and their families that are diagnosed with or being assessed for neurodevelopmental conditions.

To support the development and delivery of bespoke programmes of support to children and young people and their families, under the guidance of the Service Delivery Manager.

As a practitioner, you will hold a caseload, will work as part of a team, undertaking assessments and delivering a range of evidence-based interventions for those on your caseload focused on neurodevelopmental conditions.

The service is underpinned by principles centred around THRIVE and Children and Young People’s Improving Access to Psychological Therapies.

Key responsibilities

· Through a holistic approach, assess the needs and strengths of the referred child or young person and help them and their families identify and implement strategies that will support them, help them identify individual goals (through identification and implementation of strategies) to achieve desired change

· Deliver bespoke programmes of support, to families of children and young people diagnosed with or being assessed for neurodevelopmental conditions such as Autistic Spectrum Condition and/or ADHD. This could take the form of time limited 1:1 or group sessions or a blended approach depending on the needs presenting themselves

· Use creative, engaging approaches and own knowledge along with research-based methods and models to meet the emotional wellbeing needs of CYP

· Record and collect data with various tools and use this to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions

· To take responsibility for own caseload of children, young people and families some with complex and multiple needs

· To involve children, young people and their parents in the co-production of programmes, activities and services

· To keep accurate records of individual engagement, evidence of change and celebrate progress with children and young people

· To provide, record and report the appropriate data to ensure support programmes can be accurately monitored and evaluated 

· To provide written case studies as evidence of the effectiveness of individual interventions

YOUTH DEVELOPMENT LEAD (OASIS ASHBURTON PARK)

The role will be focussed on the Ashburton Park area (surrounding Oasis Academies; Arena, Shirley Park and Ryeland’s) working closely with the academies as part of Oasis Ashburton Park and the ‘100 Years of Ashburton Park’ Project funded by The Heritage Lottery Fund.

As a Youth Development Lead you will;

• Develop and oversee a Youth Advisory Panel to ensure that youth voice is central to the design of our Youth Engagement Programme and the 360 Youth Centre.
• Develop and oversee the Youth Engagement Programme as part of the ‘100 years of Ashburton Park Project’ including a range of activities in and nearby to Ashburton Park, including after school drop-in’s, evening sessions, group work and one-one mentoring.
• Support the development and engagement of young people in a Food Growing Enterprise based at Ashburton Lodge.
• Work closely with Croydon Council and other partners to support young people to engage with a wide range of programmes and activities that are part of the ‘100 years of Ashburton Park Project’.
• Deliver open access sessions, group and one to one interventions with young people including; half term, afterschool, evenings and residentials, using a planned youth work curriculum.
• Line manage youth workers, sessional youth workers and youth volunteers to plan, deliver and evaluate youth work termly.
• Contribute to the development of youth work across the area and lead on specific areas of work on behalf of the team.

Amongst other requirements, the successful post holder must have:

· Relevant experience OR qualification in Youth & Community (JNC), Social Work (QSW) or SEND.

· Proven experience working with young people ‘at risk’.

· Reliability, with a flexible approach to changes and able to work unsociable hours.

Job Description

You'll be an experienced qualified High Intensity Therapist with BABCP accreditation who likes working as part of a supportive team to help clients who struggle with common mental health problems such as anxiety and/or depression.

You will be responsible for the clinical supervision of Mind and Body Practitioners and CBT Therapists. Supervision will be provided on both an individual and group basis. You will be expected to support the clinical governance of the Mind and Body service.

Essential Skills

• Have a Post Graduate Diploma in an NHS Talking Therapies Course or a recorded/registered qualification in one of the following - nursing, social work, occupational therapy, arts therapy or within a psychological therapy – plus further post-graduate qualification training in CBT along with significant experience working as a practitioner

• Owning the list of user requirements. These are known as product backlog items (PBIs) and are drawn from user group meetings/discussions. These PBIs are then scheduled for build and release. 
• Manage the relationship with any external support companies for the relevant products and interconnected products and systems including accounting online, bank checking and deduping systems.
• Manage the data cleanliness, accessibility, availability and retention in accordance with our data governance and security policies particularly the information and data management framework. And develop and maintain automated processing of bulk data.
• Enshrine continuous improvement into the use and development of our Products.

Our use of Product Management comprises of all of our critical business systems (Finance, HR, Intranet, Microsoft end user applications).

Our Head of Product and Systems Management plays a crucial role in the development and delivery of our Product and Systems Management. This role is also responsible for defining and delivering the Product and Systems Management team’s strategy/roadmap and ensure they are delivered.

West London Crisis Recovery House is Registered Care Home, working in a recovery model. The services are staffed 24/7 and offer support to the residents aged 18 and upwards.

The Role

• To promote independence by supporting service users to move on positively.
• Develop networks across West London to build strong move-on pathways from the WLCH.
• Ensure discharge KPI timescales are adhered to within the WLCH.

Key Accountabilities:

• Collaborate with Team Managers to develop strong community links, ensuring effective housing support for all residents.
• Directly run, manage or supervise groups or activities as appropriate.

You will be responsible for:   
Promote and champion our commitment to slow fashion principles, ethical sourcing and environmental responsibility.
Utilize your eye for design and style, to curate your donated product through great visual merchandising with enhanced feature displays and strong commercial windows to drive sales and footfall.
Keep up to date with the latest fashion trends and local market demands, identifying opportunities for growth.
Managing staff and volunteers where you'll get to work with some amazing people. Taking the lead in recruiting, training, managing and supporting volunteers and staff members to ensure the effective operation of the store.
Customer engagement and leading by coaching volunteers and staff to have great conversations with every customer on" Rounding up" their purchase, making an "add donation" for our charity and signing up for our loyalty scheme.
Ensuring sales targets are met and direct costs are kept within managed budgets.
Ensuring all financial reporting and management, cash handling, daily banking and security procedures are followed.
Ensuring donated goods are processed according to set standards and timeframes, and that pricing is in line with charity guidelines.

Key Criteria: 
Solid retail experience, preferably in fashion/clothing with a good understanding of the slow and sustainable fashion principle.
Experience in managing a team. Managing volunteers would be an advantage.
Comprehensive understanding of retailing and merchandising display.
Experience of cash handling and financial management procedures (including completion of sales records).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-first attitude and the ability to communicate with tact and discretion.
Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload, balancing competing demands.
Understanding of health and safety procedures in a retail environment.

Day Care Officer – Day Care Centres 

Age UK Camden Day Care Centres are looking to recruit a Day Care Officer to cover 15 hours a week in shifts (3 x 5 hours) across our two Day Care Centres. 

There is a need to be flexible to be able to cover all days Monday to Friday and days are subject to change based on the rota. 

Our Centres provide a wide range of activities as well as being a specialist Day Care Centres caring for older people with complex needs. The Day Care Centres also provide a hot lunch and a range of special events. 

We have a dedicated, specialist team supporting people with care needs, including those living with mild - moderate dementia and complex needs. 

The successful candidate will: 

• Have shared responsibility in the team for the implementation of a comprehensive service of care and support for service users 

• Act as a key worker for individual clients

• Deliver holistic and person centred wellbeing services which provide service users with social interaction and support to maintain their personal interests. 

Salary: Starting at SCP 4 £25,209.19 pa incl. London Weighting for 35 hpw - pro rata for part time which is £10,803.94 pa for 15 hours per week)

The role:

We have a great opportunity for a Facilities Coordinator to join our small established team to support the work of the charity by ensuring our buildings remain in good repair and ensure a excellent standards of health and safety for our staff and visitors.

You will assist our Estates Manager in the maintenance of Coram’s buildings and grounds. Your responsibilities will include monitoring the work distribution amongst our facilities team, logging and allocating work requests, delivering day to day repairs to our properties and overseeing contractors on site. You will carry out regular checks, maintenance, and scrutiny of all locations at our site. Health and Safety checks and site security will form a regular aspect of the weekly programme

The working hours be between the hours of 11am to 7pm, Monday to Friday with some flexibility required for evening and weekend work.
