About the role

This is your chance to make your mark as Design and Brand Manager at the Francis Crick Institute one of the world’s most iconic biomedical research centres, home to over 1,500 leading scientists and a large public gallery space with a rolling programme of exhibitions and events.

For 12 months, you’ll be the creative heartbeat of our Digital and Creative team, setting the standard for design excellence across everything from public exhibitions and scientific reports to internal signage and branded campaigns.

This is a dynamic, hands-on role that sits at the creative core of the Crick’s communications. You’ll collaborate closely with our marketing team to shape visual identities for flagship exhibitions and events, lead design projects for branded materials like brochures and reports, and create impactful internal signage and communications.

Central to the role is refreshing and rolling out our brand identity, ensuring it remains bold, relevant, and consistent across all touchpoints. You’ll manage our in-house studio, oversee science illustration and printing services, and build a trusted network of freelancers and agencies to expand our creative capacity. With a deep understanding of how to tailor design for diverse audiences, from scientific peers to the public, you’ll be the go-to expert for visual strategy and execution across the Crick.

The role is ideal for someone with a strong background in design and brand, with a creative flare and is able to identify and seize upon strategic opportunities. It would suit an experienced middleweight designer, ready to step up to a more senior role, or a senior designer looking to take on a new challenge.

What you will be doing

As a Design and Brand Manager at the Crick, you will:

• Produce on-brand, accessible and high-quality design and creative materials which meet the needs of the Crick’s varied audiences.

• Manage the Crick’s visual brand identity – including rolling out our newly refreshed brand identity – ensuring it stays fresh, relevant and consistent.

• Develop and implement internal processes for teams across the Crick.

• Manage design projects from concept to completion.

• Oversee the work of agencies and freelancers who are producing design and creative assets, from initial briefing to obtaining final sign-off.

• Produce and maintain a contact base of agencies and suppliers who can produce high-quality design work in accordance with our brand guidelines

• Be the Crick’s go-to for best practice in creativity and design, advising teams across the Crick with their creative output.

• Horizon scan for latest updates and innovations in design tools and practice in order to formulate and incorporate best-practice into our processes and templates.

• Continually evaluate our design and creative output, seeking out, absorbing and incorporating feedback into our outputs and processes.

About you

You will have:

• Demonstrable experience at middleweight or senior designer level – in-house, freelance or agency;*

• Strong understanding of design and brand principles – typography, colour, layout etc.

• A portfolio of original, engaging and creative ideas developed within a professional environment for successful brand design projects across various media that demonstrate an eye for detail, creativity and experience of art direction;*

• Demonstrable experience of managing, championing and maintaining a consistent brand identity within a professional environment;*

• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously;

• Experience of managing creative production workflows and sign-off processes;

• Expert skills in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator;*

• Strong skills in Adobe Premiere Pro;

• Strong sense of aesthetics and ability to think creatively;

• An understanding of how scientific research is disseminated through conferences, papers etc.; (Desirable)

The Order of St John ( is a global humanitarian organisation delivering first aid and community healthcare in more than 40 countries and territories worldwide.  It is supported by an International Office based in London.

The Internal Relationship Manager will be the go-to person for Trustees and will keep an overview of what is going on across the Order’s various governance bodies, so that the work flows smoothly. Responsibilities

• To support the Secretary General in providing strategic direction for the worldwide activities of the Order of St John.
• Acting as the focal point for the management of governance functions across the Order, setting timetables for meetings, agreeing agendas and writing minutes of key committees.
• Liaison with Great Officers (senior trustees) on travel plans to maintain a strategic approach to intervention and attendance at events across the network.

Executive and Finance Officer

We’re looking for a proactive and highly organised Executive and Finance Officer to play a vital role in the operations of Centre for Mental Health.

This varied and interesting role supports our CEO and Board, managing day-to-day operations and taking on key finance and HR responsibilities. This will include financial support: reconciling accounts, processing invoices, supporting our Board by organising meetings and helping with many aspects of recruitment, onboarding and assisting our staff team. In this role, you will be at the heart of our team’s success.

You will need to bring outstanding organisational skills, strong IT ability, and experience in financial processes (with knowledge of Sage 50). Experience of working in a charity is desirable.

We are looking for a Garden Coordinator to nurture our award-winning urban rooftop garden. This part-time role is perfect for someone with a green thumb, a heart for education, and a knack for community engagement.

The ideal candidate: With experience in gardening and food growing you will have experience in building the skills and confidence of others in these areas.  You have great organisational and time-management skills, in order to run our Gardening Trainee Scheme. You may also have experience in delivering relevant accredited qualifications related to horticulture and food growing. 

Garden Maintenance and Development
• Ensure the rooftop garden is well-maintained, attractive and productive year-round.
• Develop and deliver seasonal planting plans, including food-growing for use in Providence Row’s kitchen.
• Manage garden budgets, materials and equipment responsibly.
• Oversee health & safety in the garden, ensuring safe practice for clients, volunteers and visitors.

Learning and Client Engagement
• Facilitate the Gardening Trainee Scheme, supporting participants to gain skills, confidence and progression opportunities.
• Deliver structured learning sessions and contribute to accredited training programmes.
• Support trainees with portfolio development and evidence gathering where required.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure clients with complex needs can engage meaningfully and safely in gardening activities.

Volunteers and Partnerships
• Supervise and support individual volunteers in the garden.
• Facilitate corporate volunteer challenges and group sessions.
• Work closely with the Catering team to align food-growing with kitchen needs.

Monitoring and Reporting
• Collect and share monitoring information with the Progression & Training Manager.
• Contribute to reports for funders, partners and stakeholders.

Other
• Occasionally contribute to organisation-wide events and activities.

We are looking for a successful Individual Giving Manager to join our dynamic Fundraising Team. You will be developing and delivering innovative fundraising strategies to grow our individual donor base, maximise supporter retention, and expand legacy giving.

About You
We are looking for a passionate and creative individual giving fundraiser or marketeer to develop and drive forward the programme. You will have a track record of delivering against income targets and KPIs and be experienced in delivering campaigns and activities on time and within budget.

With excellent writing and communication skills, you will be able to build strong relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally. 

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and Manage Individual Giving Campaigns:

Help design and implement engaging individual giving campaigns across multiple channels (direct mail, digital, email, telemarketing, etc.).
Plan, manage, and execute regular giving programs, aiming to grow a sustainable donor base.
Monitor and report on campaign performance, using data to optimise and drive continuous improvement.

Recruitment of New Donors:

In conjunction with your line manager drive the recruitment of new individual donors through online and offline channels, focusing on building long-term relationships.
In conjunction with your line manager develop strategies for donor acquisition via social media, digital marketing, and fundraising events.
Create and manage lead generation initiatives to convert prospects into committed supporters.

Develop and Run Legacy Campaigns:

Design and deliver targeted legacy giving campaigns to raise awareness and increase donations through bequests and regular giving.
Ensure legacy messages are communicated effectively across different touchpoints, including online, print, and events.
Cultivate and steward legacy supporters, ensuring they feel valued and part of SANE’s vision.

Direct Marketing and Social Media:

Work closely with the Digital Marketing Team to create content for direct marketing and social media to encourage donations and engage with potential donors.
Collaborate with the Media and Communications Team to ensure that fundraising messages are compelling, on-brand, and reach the right audience.
Measure and analyse the impact of digital fundraising and social media efforts, making data-driven decisions to improve engagement.

Website and Digital Fundraising:

Work with the Digital Marketing Team to ensure the charity’s online donation platforms are optimised to drive conversions and facilitate a smooth giving experience.
Work with the Digital Marketing Team, Deputy Head of Fundraising and COO to develop strategies to integrate online donation opportunities within the website, social media, and email communications.

Donor Stewardship:

Develop and implement strategies for donor stewardship, ensuring individuals are thanked, informed, and engaged post-donation.
Maintain a regular and consistent program of communications with donors, keeping them updated on the impact of their gifts.
Identify opportunities to upgrade donors to higher giving levels and inspire loyalty.

Collaboration and Reporting:

Work closely with the Services and Media and Communications Teams to gain SANE Services statistics, case studies and up to date on general mental health information, to align individual giving efforts with broader fundraising strategies.
Provide regular reports on campaign progress, income generation, and donor acquisition metrics to the line manager.
Assist with donor relations and events as needed to nurture relationships and engagement.

Hours: 4 days a week - 32 hours

About The Role

We’re looking for a People and Operations Manager with the objective of supporting and streamlining operations throughout Climate Catalyst, maintaining and strengthening our team culture and providing high-level support to leadership. This is a highly collaborative role requiring exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail, and a people-first mindset. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing structure and creativity while fostering a culture of connection, learning, and operational excellence.

What You Will Do

People + Culture 

• Organise, schedule, and run bi-weekly virtual full team meetings across two time zones, working with project leads to build out a relevant agenda in advance. Create and oversee slide decks and store the meeting information, deck and agenda for team access. 
• Identify & manage moments for team celebrations and life events: arrange for the full team to sign birthday and celebration cards and distribute, order flowers and other gifts for life events where relevant and organise and run end-of-year celebrations.
• Support operations team on planning and logistics for the full team and regional in-person retreats.
• Manage Team building: Plan, schedule and run team bonding events virtually on a monthly basis and schedule check-in and reflection questions.
• Support the Head of Learning with live and self-paced upskilling support, planning out the calendar, scheduling invites and uploading content to Notion.
• Support Director of People + Operations with annual learning cycle (engagement survey, development reviews, 360 reviews, annual performance reviews)
• Support Director of People + Operations with general HR support, liaison with our PEO, communication to all staff

Operations + Systems

• Recruitment assistance for department heads, upload and manage jobs on Workable, schedule interviews, manage communication with candidates and manage Workable plan
• Manage the systems onboarding and offboarding process, assigning out tasks to managers and ensuring all team members are uploaded or removed from the relevant systems.
• Manage additional CC email accounts
• Manage all softwares and systems across the organisation, managing contracts and subscriptions, negotiating for discounts, scoping replacements and solutions where necessary, ensuring team members have access where needed and troubleshooting any issues that arise
• Be the point of contact for team members to answer any questions and fulfil ad-hoc requests related to people and operations 

Executive Assistance 

• Support CEO with calendar and schedule management, travel planning, documentation creation and formatting, expense management and budget updates
• Support the LT with scheduling, agenda management and minuting.

Compensation + Benefits
