Dog Aid Scotland
Dog Aid Scotland is celebrating its 70th anniversary of creating and protecting loving homes across Scotland. The charity helps keep dogs with their owners whenever possible and when that’s not possible, we find dogs new homes, giving them hope for a future.

The Role
The Finance Manager will have responsibility for and oversight of the financial management within Dog Aid Scotland, reporting directly to the Chief Executive. This will include day to day financial functions across the charity, working closely across the small but dedicated team, to ensure the organisation operates effectively and sustainably. The role will support the charities strategic objectives including long term financial sustainability and ensuring compliance with charity governance standards.
This is a part time role working as part of a small, dedicated team who aim to create happy homes for dogs across Scotland. Although it will be expected to be in the office each week, some hybrid working will be available.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic finance and business leadership, responsible for all of charities accounts and financial processes
- Financial planning and budgeting, including putting together budgets, producing forecasts and management accounts
- Working closely with CEO on long term financial planning that aligns and enables wider charity strategy
- Compliance, systems and controls, including oversight of Xero accounting system and ensuring compliance with charity financial regulations

The role
As Care Operations Manager you will oversee the delivery of consistently high-quality support across Keychange care operations. Working to the Senior Operations Manager you will be accountable for the implementation of quality standards in all Keychange care communities, making recommendations for improvement of service delivery, and among other areas of remit will be responsible for the implementation and administration of the resident safety and incident reporting as part of our safeguarding framework.
The focus of the role includes:
- Assisting Senior Operations Manager to ensure smooth daily running of Keychange care operations
- Line managing allocated community managers
- Leading Keychange resident safety and incident reporting as part of the Keychange Safeguarding Framework
- Leading operations older persons care matters, as first port of call for managers with queries and need of support
- Leading and delivering a culture of individualised and person-led support
- Liaising with statutory and voluntary agencies to ensure appropriate support for Keychange care communities

About you

The Senior Supporter Engagement Manager will lead the strategic development of personalised, data‑driven supporter experiences that deepen engagement and maximise long‑term value. Key Responsibilities:
Supporter Journey Development & Design
· Lead the end‑to‑end design of supporter journeys working collaboratively across all the organisation, taking an audience led approach in achieving our income, engagement and influence objectives, joining the dots and identifying opportunities for cross sell, upsell and integration of offers throughout a supporter's relationship with us.
· Oversea the mapping and optimisation of lifecycle journeys, ensuring they are insight‑driven, segmented, and aligned with organisational goals towards a cure.
Responsible for ensuring your teams are expert in our martech, and use testing frameworks (A/B, multivariate), data and performance insights to optimise journeys performance.
· Lead for automation of journeys within our martech, balancing efficiencies on resource with excellent supporter experiences.
· Lead for data, compliance and technical troubleshooting.
Data Selections & Audience Targeting
· Responsible for making audience targeting decisions ensuring accurate, timely, and insight‑led targeting for all fundraising and engagement activity.
· Working collaboratively with the BI team to ensure the development and application of data modelling and propensity models to predict supporter behaviour models that support tailored communications and efficient campaign delivery.
· Work closely with Data and Analytics teams to maintain data quality and optimise selection processes, and work with insight and BI to translate performance outputs into actionable recommendations for optimising our supporter journey performance.
· Ensure robust documentation, governance, and continuous improvement of data targeting and selection workflows
· Work collaboratively with the digital analytics team to ensure a strong connection between web and paid digital activity to avoid siloes across the stages of a supporter's experience with ARUK.
Supporter Loyalty & Stewardship Communications
· Lead the creation of loyalty‑focused communications that build long‑term relationships and increase lifetime value and deliver on our supporter experience principles – including communications such as Cure Magazine and E-newsletter.
· Work collaborative with Senior Supporter Relations Manager to develop stewardship frameworks that recognise and thank supporters at key moments – including the coordination of an ARUK approach supporter Christmas and Seasonal greetings.
· Ensure collaboration within these organisational supporter loyalty communications is effective leading for RACI and levels of approval.
· Lead for your team adhering to GDPR-aligned audience management and safe data activation.
Leadership & Collaboration
· Manage and develop a multi‑disciplinary team across your key responsibilities, fostering a culture of audience led, testing, continuous improvement and joined up thinking, planning and delivery.
· Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across fundraising, digital, brand, data, insight, info services, policy and campaigning, and research teams to ensure alignment and shared priorities.

Ways of working:
As part of our Agile ways of working, you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.

Greater Change
Founded in 2018 by Alex McCallion and Jonathan Tan, Greater Change is an NGO providing cash grants to support people to overcome the financial barriers on their pathway out of homelessness using personalised budgets.

You will lead key income streams across High Net Worth Individuals, Trusts and Foundations, and fundraising events, delivering high-quality proposals and thoughtful stewardship that strengthens long-term partnerships.

Reporting to the Transformation Cluster Leader, key responsibilities will include:
- Set the standards for change management activities across the Change Portfolio

Alzheimer’s Research UK funds dementia research through a large portfolio of investigator-led grant awards, research fellowships and strategic initiatives within the UK and increasingly internationally.
The Senior Research Funding Manager will work closely with the Head of Research Funding, leading a team focused on delivering our core grants management processes. This role is vital in advancing ARUK's research objectives and promoting engagement within the ARUK-funded research community. They will work collaboratively within the Research & Partnerships directorate and with other teams, including the Communications and Philanthropy teams.
We’re looking for someone with strong research management experience and a good eye for detail who is excited by the opportunities in the dementia research landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
Research Operations Leadership
· Foster and deepen relationships with the global dementia research community, with support of the Research Engagement team, ensuring ARUK remains a trusted leader in funding excellence.
· Provide oversight and functional leadership for research operations across distinctive functions: pre-award, post-award (including invoicing and reporting), and grant system management, ensuring clear ownership, robust processes and alignment with organisational goals and long-term impact.
· Oversee the delivery and continuous improvement of grants review, awarding and management processes, ensuring a high-quality applicant and award-holder experience and timely, accurate, audit-ready outputs aligned with best practice, funding policies and ARUK values.
· Lead research funding governance and policy, ensuring clear decision-making, robust guidance (including due diligence and risk management where appropriate), and consistent application of funding requirements across the end-to-end grant lifecycle.
Scientific Strategy and Innovation
· Provide strategic advice on research funding through horizon scanning and analysis of ARUK’s funding portfolio, identifying gaps/opportunities and shaping options for future funding strategies and schemes.
· Develop and implement new grant schemes and funding initiatives, ensuring alignment with ARUK’s research strategy and the evolving needs of the dementia research community (including early career researchers).
· Build collaborations with leading funding organisations and strategic partners (e.g., AMRC), representing ARUK externally and identifying opportunities to address shared research priorities and drive collective impact.
People Leadership
· Line management of three Research Managers, effectively delegating work to support delivery of their objectives.
· Leadership and development of a wider core team of six, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
· Help to promote an inspiring team culture where personal development is prioritised.
Knowledge, skills and experience needed:
· Strong science background, educated to degree level in a relevant subject (preferably with a postgraduate qualification or equivalent work experience).
· Good working knowledge of grant management systems (e.g., Flexigrant).
· Experience of research grant funding/management.
· Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills, with experience of building and managing relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, at all levels of seniority.
· Experience of developing and delivering strategies, ability to spot opportunities and translate these into operational plans, thinking beyond the immediate issue to look at broader topics or themes.
· Proven ability of planning, managing and delivering projects; ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks, showing adaptability to meet challenging targets and deadlines.
· Experience of line management, including supporting and developing colleagues and, ideally, managing through others (e.g., managing managers or team leads).
· Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences
· A team player who can collaborate effectively with a range of stakeholders internally and externally to deliver.
· Excellent eye for detail with a focus on continuous improvement.
· Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise competing demands.
· Ability to work independently.
· Willingness to travel, including occasional overnight travel.
