You will be one of the key points of contact for World Physiotherapy membership. The position is instrumental in assisting the smooth running of World Physiotherapy membership services and supporting the work of the membership manager, the regional executive committees, member organisations, and other staff across the full range of functions.

You will use your experience, initiative, confidence, project and organisational skills to provide business support across the organisation and its activities. These include the membership function requirements of the organisation, project support, operational logistics, member services and education activities. This will require liaising with staff, member organisations, board/committee members, and external stakeholders.

Duties and key responsibilities

Operational support

1. Liaising with member organisations, regions, specialty groups and networks as required by the membership manager and other staff.
2. Technical and logistical support across all operations for any meetings and webinars.
3. Work with relevant staff to ensure that activities are set up on Teamwork® (project management software) and support their ongoing management.
4. Ensure the CRM (Salesforce) is updated with relevant organisational and individual contacts and interactions.
5. Management of membership queries

Administrative support to the membership manager, regional executive committees and specialty groups, and those representing World Physiotherapy on defined activities or events

1. Scheduling of all regional executive committee meetings and supporting other meetings and webinars both via teleconference and face-to-face.
2. Drafting forms and surveys using Microsoft Forms and SurveyMonkey
3. Other project areas: work with the membership manager to carry out activity analysis
4. Provide day-to-day administrative support for World Physiotherapy’s membership activities and services.
5. Assess ways to improve project management and outcomes.
6. Provide general project support and carry out any other tasks requested by the manager.

Person specification

The membership support officer must have experience in project support and organisational administration. They must be highly organised, self-motivated and able to demonstrate initiative in managing complex and competing demands from different sources.

It is expected that the individual will ideally have a good first degree, or relevant experience gained across a range of comparable settings, preferably with additional experience or qualifications in project management and/or business administration. Experience of working with senior staff and committees is essential.

The individual must have a legal right to work in the UK.

The Communications team is responsible for informing, inspiring and engaging the public by showcasing Alzheimer’s Research UK’s work, impact and mission across all channels. We lead the charity’s media and strategic communications activity—ensuring consistent, accurate and compelling storytelling that supports research, fundraising and organisational priorities. 

The Corporate Communications Manager will be responsible for the development and delivery of clear, consistent and compelling communications that strengthens our reputation and supports the positioning of our organisational narrative and brand.

The role will provide strategic communications support to Corporate Partnerships, Brand, Fundraising and Marketing and the CEO Office. The postholder will oversee the charity’s Annual Report and strategic campaigns and manage a team of four Corporate Communications Officers.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Planning

· Act as the primary communications business partner to Corporate Partnerships, Brand and the CEO Office, providing strategic communications advice and support.

· Develop and deliver communications plans that support organisational priorities, fundraising objectives, strategic partnerships and executive profiling.

· Contribute to planning for major organisational moments, ensuring communications activity is integrated, audience-focused and aligned with ARUK priorities.

· Support the Senior Manager, Corporate & Research Communications in identifying communications opportunities, risks and emerging issues.

Delivery & Oversight

· Lead the development and maintenance of ARUK's communications messaging framework, including key messages, narrative tools and supporting communications materials.

· Oversee delivery of executive communications, including briefings, speeches,  LinkedIn content, thought-leadership materials and speaking opportunities where required.

· Manage the production of flagship publications, including the Annual Report and Dementia Attitudes Monitor, and the communications outputs to support these.

· Provide communications support for major strategic partnerships, organisational announcements and corporate campaigns.

Team Leadership & Development

• Provide effective team management, role-modelling ARUK’s leadership values.

· Line manage Corporate Communications Officers, setting goals, overseeing workloads and providing positive and constructive feedback and supporting professional development.

· Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture that reflects ARUK's values and supports continuous improvement.

· Ensure team priorities, workflows and resources are aligned to organisational needs and strategic communications objectives.

Cross-Team & Stakeholder Collaboration

· Work closely with Brand, Strategic Marketing, Media & PR, Content, Research Communications and Fundraising teams to ensure consistent messaging and integrated communications delivery.

· Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and act as a trusted communications advisor to senior leaders and business partners.

· Identify opportunities to connect specialist communications teams into projects and campaigns to maximise impact and organisational alignment.

Governance, Risk & Quality Assurance

· Ensure communications outputs adhere to ARUK's brand, messaging, accessibility and editorial standards.

· Support the identification and management of reputational issues and communications risks.

· Work with the Metrics & Insights Manager to establish KPIs, measure performance and evaluate the effectiveness of corporate communications activity.

· Lead continuous improvement of corporate communications processes, templates and ways of working.

As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.

The Role

The College of Optometrists is the professional body for optometry. It qualifies the profession and delivers the guidance and development to ensure optometrists provide the best possible care. We promote excellence through the College’s affixes, by building the evidence base for optometry, and raising awareness of the profession with the public, commissioners, and healthcare professionals.

We are looking for a Governance Manager to join our Chief Executive’s team. This is a high profile management role which will lead and develop the governance and stakeholder management of the College and provide the support and insights to enable the Chief Executive to lead the College with maximum impact, effectiveness and efficiency. 

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, the key purpose of the role will be to: 

• Ensure the College’s governance arrangements support effective decision making, accountability and regulatory compliance.

• Provide strategic governance support to enable the Chief Executive to lead the College with maximum impact, effectiveness and efficiency.

• Ensure the effective governance and efficient operation of the College’s Council, Board and Committees, in line with its Royal Charter, charity law, regulatory requirements and good governance principles.

• Establish and maintain effective business systems and procedures within the Chief Executive’s Department including supporting the development, monitoring and reporting of the College’s business plan and strategic plan.

• Build and maintain effective relationships with those within the College’s governance structure to support delivery of its strategic objectives.

The main responsibilities for the role holder will be to:

• Ensure the College’s governance arrangements operate effectively and in accordance with its Royal Charter, regulatory requirements and recognised good governance principles.

• Develop, maintain and report on the Governance workstream key performance indicators and wider College KPI framework.

• Deveolop and maintain the College’s strategic plan reporting framework.

• Oversee the preparation and distribution of agendas and papers for Board and Council undertaken by the Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive

• Manage the governance arrangements of the Annual Gneeral Meeting and election and appointment of Council members, Officers, Trustees, Committee Chairs and the early Career Representative on Council.

• Support and develop Council in their role as regional representatives and advocates for the College.

• Lead the co-ordination of the College’s stakeholder engagement, ensuring a consistent, responsive and professional experience across the College.

• Develop and manage the ongoing delivery of an effective cross-College stakeholder management process.

• Line manage and develop the Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive.

• Manage the annual budget for the College’s governance activities.

Additional Information

• Typical working hours at the College are 9 am to 5 pm (7 hours, excluding lunch) working five days a week. We operate a flexible working window from 8 am to 6 pm where you can vary your start and end time (working a 7-hour day). This role is flexible and can be worked over a variety of working patterns.

• The post holder may on occasion be required to work late and should therefore have some flexibility with regard to working hours. There will be occasional overnight stays for some meetings and events in London and across the UK.

• We also offer hybrid working (a mixture of home and office working). Typically, College staff will work around 20%- 40% of their time at the workplace (whether this is the office at Craven St, or a face-to-face meeting, exam or event at another business-related site or organisation) per week.

Role overview 

Shine supports a community of over 15,000 members living with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus, including 10,000 adults (25+).

You will be delivering high-quality support and creating opportunities for adults living with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus and their carers, supporting Shine members to lead healthy, independent, and fulfilling lives by improving condition management and fostering connections within the Shine community. 

This role will focus on adults (25+), you will be primarily working within the Adult Services Team. However, there will be occasions when you will work across age groups to ensure the best outcomes for our members. 

The role is home-based and ideally you will live within an hour commute of London, within Essex, Kent or Sussex as you will be attending clinics in London and the Southeast as required. There would be occasional travel required across wider areas and nationally including attendance at events, conferences and meetings at our head office in Peterborough. 

The role is full time 35 hours per week, Monday - Friday with working core hours 9am-5pm with some flexibility to cover events evenings/weekends.

Key Responsibilities 

• Deliver innovative support across your region to improve health, social, and emotional outcomes for members. 

• Attend specialist clinics to engage with members and professionals. 

• Provide information, advice, and guidance to our adult members and carers, including hard-to-reach communities. 

• Support members to access benefits, services, and resources that promote financial stability, health, and independence. 

• Refer members to Shine’s Health team, internal specialists, or external agencies as appropriate. 

• Develop age-specific groups and peer support networks to reduce isolation and encourage social interaction.

The Mental Health Foundation is recruiting for a CRM Officer to support the CRM team in our London office.

This exciting role will support the CRM team with data processes in our Beacon CRM fundraising database, as we look to integrate and automate more of our systems and processes. High-quality data will enable us to develop stronger relationships with our supporters, retention and maximise lifetime value working in an agile way.

What does the role involve?

• Manage data processes, imports and exports of all fundraising data including direct debits, new donors, email signups etc. in accordance with agreed protocols and in agreement with CRM Manager.
• Ensure that the use of the Fundraising database and the capture of all data from supporters or prospects conforms to data protection guidelines including GDPR relating to supporter preferences and consent.
• Support training for colleagues using the CRM (Beacon) and help ensure all members are trained and kept up to date on new features and enhancements as they require to do their job effectively.
• Support the reconciliation of the bank statement with Beacon and ensure the Finance team know where to find information to enable accurate coding for management accounts.

Why is this position on a fixed term contract?

Having this CRM Officer role in post for a year will support the ongoing business as usual data processes, whilst increasing capacity in the team to support efforts to increase the amount of automation of processes and integration between systems. This will ultimately reduce our reliance on manual data processes, reducing the volume of day to day data transfer, which should lead to a reduction of required capacity with the CRM team beyond the term of this contract.

What skills, knowledge and experience are we looking for?

• Demonstrable relevant experience working in Fundraising, or a Charity database team role using Beacon CRM or any database similar, with experience of CRMs in general.
• Evidenced experience of managing high volumes of personal data using a large and complex supporter/CRM database.
• Evidenced ability to think analytically and deliver the most effective and accurate solutions for data capture, manipulation and reporting.
