The Katie Piper Foundation is seeking an experienced Finance and Business Manager to join our small, dedicated team in this newly created role, central to supporting our growth over the next three years.

You will lead all aspects of financial management, working closely with the CEO on budgeting, planning, and resource allocation. Responsibilities include overseeing day-to-day finances, producing management accounts, reporting to the Board, and ensuring strong financial controls and compliance.

In addition, you will help strengthen the charity’s wider operations, improving systems across IT, data, and reporting, as well as supporting risk management, policy development and measuring and communicating our impact.

This will be varied and evolvingrole suited to someone confident working across both strategic and operational areas, and comfortable driving organisational improvement.

We are a fully remote team. The role is home-based and part-time (28 hours a week, FTE 35 hours), and we are open to flexible working arrangements.

The Research & Partnerships Directorate is a fast-paced, collaborative team committed to achieving Alzheimer’s Research UK’s vision. The Directorate has responsibility for delivering on the charity’s principal remit: funding world-class research to ultimately defeat dementia. Alzheimer’s Research UK funds dementia research through a large portfolio of investigator-led grant awards, research fellowships and strategic initiatives within the UK and increasingly internationally.

The Senior Research Funding Manager will work closely with the Head of Research Funding, leading a team focused on delivering our core grants management processes. This role is vital in advancing ARUK's research objectives and promoting engagement within the ARUK-funded research community. They will work collaboratively within the Research & Partnerships directorate and with other teams, including the Communications and Philanthropy teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Research Operations Leadership

· Foster and deepen relationships with the global dementia research community, with support of the Research Engagement team, ensuring ARUK remains a trusted leader in funding excellence.

· Provide oversight and functional leadership for research operations across distinctive functions: pre-award, post-award (including invoicing and reporting), and grant system management, ensuring clear ownership, robust processes and alignment with organisational goals and long-term impact.

· Oversee the delivery and continuous improvement of grants review, awarding and management processes, ensuring a high-quality applicant and award-holder experience and timely, accurate, audit-ready outputs aligned with best practice, funding policies and ARUK values.

· Lead research funding governance and policy, ensuring clear decision-making, robust guidance (including due diligence and risk management where appropriate), and consistent application of funding requirements across the end-to-end grant lifecycle.

Scientific Strategy and Innovation

· Provide strategic advice on research funding through horizon scanning and analysis of ARUK’s funding portfolio, identifying gaps/opportunities and shaping options for future funding strategies and schemes.

· Develop and implement new grant schemes and funding initiatives, ensuring alignment with ARUK’s research strategy and the evolving needs of the dementia research community (including early career researchers).

· Build collaborations with leading funding organisations and strategic partners (e.g., AMRC), representing ARUK externally and identifying opportunities to address shared research priorities and drive collective impact.

People Leadership

· Line management of three Research Managers, effectively delegating work to support delivery of their objectives.

· Leadership and development of a wider core team of six, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.

· Help to promote an inspiring team culture where personal development is prioritised.

Knowledge, skills and experience needed:

· Strong science background, educated to degree level in a relevant subject (preferably with a postgraduate qualification or equivalent work experience).​ 

· Good working knowledge of grant management systems (e.g., Flexigrant).

· Experience of research grant funding/management.

· Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills, with experience of building and managing relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, at all levels of seniority.​ 

· Experience of developing and delivering strategies, ability to spot opportunities and translate these into operational plans, thinking beyond the immediate issue to look at broader topics or themes.

· Proven ability of planning, managing and delivering projects; ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks, showing adaptability to meet challenging targets and deadlines.​ 

· Experience of line management, including supporting and developing colleagues and, ideally, managing through others (e.g., managing managers or team leads).

· Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences

Overview

The Premier League Foundation is seeking to appoint an experienced Communications Manager to support the Head of Communications in delivering strategic, impactful communications that advance the charity’s work, ensure recognition for our funding partners, and raise awareness of the work of both the Foundation and the wider football club charity network.

The Communications Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the communications action plan. The Senior Fundraising Manager is responsible for delivering Brightside’s fundraising activity with a core focus on grants from trusts and foundations, and major donors. Reporting to and working closely with the CEO, the postholder will forge new relationships with major donors and manage our grant applications to support Brightside to achieve its fundraising targets. The postholder will deliver high quality stewardship across our major donor relationships and act as the key point of contact for all grant activity, working closely with the delivery teams to support funder relationship management and reporting.

The postholder will work closely with colleagues across the organisation to develop clear cases for support for potential funding projects, as well as managing our approach to individual giving and increasing regular donations. The role will involve working closely with the CEO and the trustees, who will provide warm introductions to their networks of potential major donors and support in their stewardship.

We are seeking a creative and conscientious communications leader with exceptional attention to detail and demonstrable expertise in developing and delivering high-impact strategic communications outputs in the international development or third sector. We are a relatively small team and are therefore looking for someone who is both highly strategic and able to see the ‘big picture’, while also being happy getting stuck in at an operational level to ensure timely, on-budget delivery of outputs. The Global Distributors Collective (GDC) is in an excellent position, with a strong track record of delivery and impact, a solid funding pipeline, and a clear 2026-30 strategy. High-impact communication crosscuts the entire GDC programme and is essential to ensuring that beneficial products can be made affordable and available to all. As Communications Manager (maternity cover), you will therefore need to both hit the ground running to deliver our ambitious schedule of upcoming communications activities – from in-person and online events, to high-profile research, publications, and digital outputs – as well as to work proactively with the Head of GDC, Bopinc team, GDC strategic advisors, and fellow communications colleagues to shape and embed communication activities across a range of new projects that are kicking off in 2026-27.

About Practical Action and the GDC

Practical Action is an international development organisation putting ingenious ideas to work so people in poverty can change their world. For the past eight years, Practical Action has been hosting and building the Global Distributors Collective (GDC): a collective of 300 last mile distribution companies that cumulatively reach millions of the poorest consumers in the world with beneficial products like solar lanterns, water filters and improved cookstoves. GDC activities are delivered in collaboration with strategic and implementing partner Bopinc.

The GDC provides a collective voice for distributors to ensure their priorities are heard; drives research and innovation across the sector; facilitates the exchange of information, insight, and expertise; and provides critical services that leverage economies of scale.

Moving into our 2026-30 strategy phase, we are proactively shifting from creating and setting up advisory services and tools that support last mile distributors to embedding and scaling these initiatives. Specifically, we will focus on four key strategic pillars:

· Unlocking finance: Prepare more last mile distributors (LMDs) for investment and help to unlock country-level financing mechanisms and create LMD-focussed debt facilities. 

· Strengthening business performance: Deliver training, shared services, and data tools that reduce business costs and improve efficiency, in scalable formats.

· Scaling innovation: Identify, test, and replicate high-value business innovations and remove eco-system barriers.

· Shaping systems and local leadership: Build local chapters and influence global and national agendas so LMDs are visible, valued and represented.

We are looking for a go-getting, ambitious and proactive communications specialist who is ready to lead the GDC communications team to deliver a range of high-impact, top-quality, communications activities over the next 12 months. To succeed in this role, you must be a communications all-rounder, an experienced line manager, and an excellent written and verbal communicator with exceptional attention to detail, robust project management and interpersonal skills. You will be a strategic thinker with the ability to multitask, work independently and adapt in a fast-paced environment, while also being willing to “muck in” in our relatively small team. As the Hospice develops our community engagement and supporter base, we are looking for an ambitious Supporter Development Manager to help build sustainable income and partnership relationships to support the Hospice into the future.

This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality, trauma-informed support for women experiencing multiple disadvantage, including addiction, abuse, coercive control, poverty, mental health challenges, and involvement with the criminal justice system.

The postholder will lead teams, oversee service delivery, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive positive outcomes for women on their recovery journeys.

Key Responsibilities

Service Leadership & Delivery

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the ambulatory detox service and supported housing provision.
• Ensure services are safe, effective, person-centred, and trauma-informed.
• Embed a strengths-based approach that promotes recovery, independence, and long-term stability.
• Develop and implement service models, policies, and procedures in line with best practice.
• Work alongside the drug and alcohol teams who will hold the clinical risk (Our team will provide the support element)

Staff Management & Development

• Recruit, supervise, and support a multidisciplinary team.
• Provide regular supervision, appraisal, and professional development opportunities.
• Promote a positive, inclusive, and reflective team culture.
• Manage performance, absence, and wellbeing of staff.

Safeguarding & Risk Management

• Act as the safeguarding lead for the services.
• Ensure robust safeguarding practices are implemented and maintained.
• Oversee risk assessments and risk management processes for residents and service users.
• Respond effectively to incidents and ensure learning is embedded.

Partnership Working

• Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners including health services, substance misuse services, criminal justice agencies, and local authorities.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

• Ensure services meet all regulatory and contractual requirements.

Financial & Resource Management

• Manage service budgets effectively, ensuring value for money.

Essential

• Significant experience managing services in substance misuse, housing, or related fields.

About the Campaigns and Public Affairs Manager role

In this varied and exciting position, you will manage high profile WI campaigns and play a key role in achieving change on key issues affecting women and their community.

The Campaigns and Public Affairs Manager provides essential management of the Public Affairs team and its activities- including campaigning, lobbying, research and policy work- whilst working closely with the Director of Campaigns and Membership to maintain a strategic overview of the department’s work.

You will be responsible for devising appropriate lobbying strategies to achieve our key objectives, responding to governmental policy and consultation papers and supporting the NFWI’s media work in relation to all campaigning and Public Affairs activity.

This role also plays a vital part in managing departmental projects, from the development and implementation of campaign project plans, to identifying funding opportunities and administering budgets.  

Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week.

Location: Hybrid working, with at least one day per week at our London office.

About you

Experienced in all aspects of campaigning and lobbying, with a strong understanding of current affairs and issues across the policy spectrum, you will be adept at taking a campaign from start to finish, whilst developing impactful influencing strategies in a political context. You will be a confident line manager, with experience of supporting and overseeing your team’s performance, development and wellbeing.

The ability to represent the NFWI externally- to civil servants, government departments and external organisations- as well as working closely with volunteers and members at a grassroots level is also key.

An understanding of key policy issues relating to areas such as women’s health or the environment would also be desirable, however your passion for helping the WI achieve its mission by making a difference every day will be the key to your success in the role.

We are looking for a Service Manager to join our team team in Ealing. This is a well-resourced and dynamic service in which you will lead a team of 2 Coordinators and 9 Outreach & Resettlement workers.

In this role you will focus on combining outreach with clients on the streets and supporting them through placements in temporary accommodation until a suitable home is found. Several additional services are also embedded within the team including Street Legal, an Employment Specialist, and a Homeless Health Nurse – and the team has lots of well-established connections with specialist providers and community organisations locally, as well as having strong relationships with commissioners and local authority partners.
