Job Title: Night Support Coach
Location: Bermondsey, Close to Surrey Quays station. (This location is hidden due to the sensitive nature of the service) Please note that this service has step free and lift access.
Salary: £27,000
Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Sunday on a rota varying between 20:00 - 09:30 which includes 12.5 hour shifts with 1 hour unpaid break, approximately 3 shifts per week. You may be required to work outside these hours dependent on service and resident requirements including weekends and bank holidays so flexibility will be required.
About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Support Coach to join our new Independent Approved Premises (IAP) covering the night shift on a rolling rota. You will play a key role in helping residents who have recently left prison settle into our residential setting and take positive steps toward reintegrating into the community. You will work closely with residents to create tailored support plans that reflect their individual needs and help them move toward successful rehabilitation. By identifying each resident’s needs, goals and skills, you will support and motivate them to achieve their potential. The service is committed to focus on public protection and effective risk management.
Some Key Responsibilities Include:
- Protecting and promoting the safety and wellbeing of residents and participants at all times.
- Engaging with residents throughout the night to ensure they are meeting their license conditions. This includes planning activities such as movie nights, game nights, and other suitable events to keep them involved and motivated.
- Be a valued and reliable member of the team on the night shift, completing handovers for day colleagues for a seamless service
- Building trusting professional relationships with residents, helping them to achieve their goals and aspirations which could be through tailored one to one sessions, group sessions, in and out of service activities, and general wellbeing check ins

Purpose of Post: The Events Coordinator will help to plan, promote and deliver a diverse programme of online and in-person events that reflect the organisation’s mission to support, empower and amplify the voices of people with lived experience of mental illness. These will include outreach sessions, campaigning events, open forums, creative workshops, community engagement activities, fundraising events, awareness days and partnership events.
The post-holder will ensure all events are accessible, inclusive, trauma-informed and well-organised, working closely with the Engagement & Campaigns Manager, project teams, volunteers and external partners.
Given the collaborative and engagement-focused nature of this role, and its direct delivery responsibilities, regular face-to-face working is required, with the post-holder based primarily in the office and attending events and community activities as needed.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Planning and Coordination
- Develop and maintain an annual events calendar covering outreach, campaigns, creative sessions, open forums, workshops and fundraising (both online and in-person).
- Lead on the end-to-end planning of online and in-person events including aims, audience, format, accessibility needs, timelines, budgets, venues, equipment and staffing.
- Prepare event plans, schedules, risk assessments and checklists to ensure smooth delivery.
- Liaise with venues, suppliers and partners to negotiate costs (ensuring value for money), confirm bookings and arrange logistics.
Promotion and Communications
- Produce accessible event information and promotional materials, working with colleagues to ensure inclusive language, imagery and formats.
- Use social media, website updates, e-newsletters and community networks to publicise events.
- Maintain event booking systems (e.g. Eventbrite, online forms), manage attendee lists and respond promptly to enquiries.
Event Delivery
- Act as point of contact on the day of events, ensuring smooth set-up, running and pack-down (including seating, signage, technology and accessibility adjustments).
- Brief staff, volunteers and facilitators on their roles and responsibilities before and during events, to ensure clarity of roles.
- Greet attendees, speakers and partners; creating a warm, inclusive and trauma-sensitive environment.
- Monitor timing, technical requirements (e.g. microphones, presentations, online platforms if appropriate) and respond to any issues that arise calmly and adapt plans where needed.
Community Engagement and Stakeholder Support

Volunteer Coordination

Finance and Administration
- Work within agreed event budgets, tracking expenditure and income, and seeking value for money.
- Process invoices, petty cash and expenses in line with Hear Us, financial procedures.
- Maintain an organised system for event documentation (e.g. booking forms, contracts, attendance, risk assessments, evaluations).
Safeguarding, EDI and Health & Safety
- Ensure all events comply with safeguarding, data protection, confidentiality and health & safety policies.
- Ensure events are inclusive of people from diverse backgrounds and are accessible to people with a range of mental health needs and disabilities.
- Report safeguarding concerns promptly following internal procedures.
Other Duties
- Attend staff meetings, supervision, training and development opportunities.

The Programmes Team in the Delivery Directorate oversees various programmes - delivered with and through members - across sport, employability, mental health, and culture, underpinned by youth involvement. You'll design, deliver and evaluate programmes that provide young people opportunities to improve their skills and qualities, boost their confidence and resilience and develop leadership skills through practical action.
What you will be doing
The Delivery Officer (Good for Girls) will deliver the programme's day-to-day operations and the broader mental health offer to London Youth members. You will deliver Good for Girls, a youth club-based mental health and well-being programme. You will support 10 youth organisations to engage young people in the programme, which enables young women and girls to participate in regular well-being activities and training for young Londoners.
Lead the delivery of the Good for Girls programme
- Coordinate Good for Girls to meet key delivery targets, secure the target recruitment of member organisations, youth workers and young people, and oversee the onboarding process.
- Coordinate Peer Mentors to undertake training and to then support delivery of the programme.
- Work with internal colleagues to ensure organisations participating in our programmes receive a quality experience, such as completing due diligence.

The Technology Team provides business as usual (BAU) and project support services across the National Church Institutions (NCIs. From End User Support to Cloud Infrastructure, we provide subject matter expertise for all aspects of Technology. This role is for an experienced SharePoint Engineer to join the team on an initial 12-month fixed term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering a brand-new SharePoint Online solution that will support multiple business units across the organisation.

This is a key role leading the Council’s surveying function and its Legal Disrepair and ADR service, ensuring that homes are safe, compliant, and well-maintained while minimising disrepair liability and safeguarding the Council’s legal and financial position. You will support in providing our residents with the support needed to help them overcome their personal barriers, and achieve their goals in a person centred approach. This is a rare, part time opportunity to lead an organisation at the cutting edge of policy regarding green spaces and the environment, housing and planning. You will manage a small but motivated team of staff and dedicated volunteers. We are looking for candidates with the confidence to pitch for new funding and prioritise projects, coupled with a track record of liaison work across the environmental space ideally drawing on a background in planning.
CPRE London is a leading environmental charity in the capital, an independent charity and the London regional branch (1 of 42) of the national CPRE organisation, ‘The Countryside Charity’.
The focus of our campaigning is to make London a well-planned, greener, climate-resilient and nature rich city, which benefits everyone.
Skills in leadership, oversight of income and expenditure, communication, negotiation, and project management are needed to run our operations. In addition to leading CPRE London you will also work closely with a supportive board of trustees.
Currently at the exciting stage of developing the London Tree Ring project, additionally we are involved in many more initiatives such as Healthy Streets Scorecard and GoParksLondon and supporting local campaigns to protect our precious green spaces from development.
