About the role
Shelter Manchester are recruiting for a number of Housing Rights Workers to cover our city wide advice service.
As Housing Rights Worker, you will deliver high quality housing advice and advocacy in line with the hub’s local community priorities. This will involve working alongside people who are experiencing homelessness and bad housing to identify issues facing local communities. You will plan and deliver casework to individuals and communities to resolve their housing situation, networking and engaging with community groups, local organisations and individuals to understand local housing issues and raise awareness of housing rights.
You will also work within local community settings and alongside community groups, delivering advice and rights awareness workshops. You will ensure that people with lived experience of homelessness have opportunities to share their story, give their views and participate in the design and delivery of Shelter services. You will offer day to day support to volunteers, provide learning, shadowing and mentoring and be a consistent role model for Shelter’s values.
About you
You will have the ability to engage and work collaboratively with individuals, communities and with all stakeholders, including running group workshops and presentations. You have experience, knowledge of and/or proven ability in housing and homelessness advice and advocacy, with the ability to progress to specialist level knowledge. Essential to the role will be good time management, carrying out casework related interviews, maintaining detailed case records and offering advice and support to clients to inform their decisions.

About the role

Salary
The Housing Partner (Housing Officer) role offers a salary of £36,339 per annum for candidates who fully meet the role requirements.
If you're still developing in some areas, we'll support your growth with a starting salary just 5% or 10% below the spot rate, depending on experience.
You'll also receive a regional allowance of £2,908 and an essential user car allowance starting from £1,250 per year, plus mileage for travel around your patch - helping you stay mobile while making a difference in your community.
About you
You'll need experience in delivering housing management services, plus an understanding of tenancy and neighbourhood management. It would be ideal if you have a CIH Level 3 Certificate in Housing - or you'd be willing to work towards it. You'll bring a proven track record in managing anti-social behaviour, as well as a strong knowledge of rent collection processes and legal frameworks around income recovery. As you'll be travelling across our Accent sites and estates, you'll need a full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.

Housing
- Coach young people to manage their occupancy agreement and adhere to house rules, in preparation for independent living.
- Promote a credit culture, encouraging young people to keep up to date with all payments for rent.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of housing and welfare benefits for young people and be well-informed on significant changes to housing law.
- Deal effectively with non-compliance issues, such as non-payment of rent or damage to room, using restorative practices and working collaboratively with the rest of the team.
Coaching and Engagement
- Coach young people so they can articulate their aspirations and ambitions and take the lead in acquiring the skills they need to live independent and fulfilling lives.
- Ensure young people are encouraged to take responsibility for their own personal development, to engage with the services on offer and build strong networks and connections within the local community.

JOB PURPOSE
The Group Manager will have strategic management responsibility for all services delivered within the Housing Service. The Group Manager's role is to ensure that the operation of the housing service is managed professionally and that the Head of Partnerships and Housing is competently supported in the provision of housing related services to residents in Bridgend County Borough Council.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES:
· Oversee and manage the Housing and Homelessness Service for the Council and provide advice to the Head of Partnerships and Housing on all Housing related matters.
· Oversee the planning and delivery of the overarching commissioning and planning objectives for Housing and the Housing Support Grant, ensuring they contribute towards targeting those most in need in the community.

· Proactively develop relationships with all departments across the Authority, providing strategic input regarding the delivery of housing related services as part of a wider review of developments across the Authority.
· Oversee and promote the delivery of the Leasing Scheme Wales by working with private householders or landlords to bring properties back into use to support the social housing market.
· Oversee the development of temporary accommodation options in the area including the use of HMO accommodation and modular housing
· Oversee the Disabled Facility Grant service.
· Lead on all aspects of housing and homelessness services working by with Elected Members, corporate managers and service teams to achieve excellence.
· Initiate and develop partnerships and multi-disciplinary working with other local authorities, regional and national bodies and other public/ private/third sector partners as necessary to deliver the housing and community regeneration service.
· Keep up-to-date with best practice in Housing and Homelessness services with the aim of delivering a modern, innovative service ensuring all aspects of the service meet Bridgend County Borough Council’s ambition to provide the best local services in Wales.
· Lead on the creation of all Housing related policies across the Council and to advise the Head of Partnerships and Housing accordingly.

Are you an experienced manager with a passion for delivering high quality services to people with learning disabilities? This varied and dynamic role will lead on the set up, coordination and provision of excellent person-centred care and support to service users, enabling them to live independently in their home and be supported in all aspects of day-to-day living. As Project Manager, you will oversee the development and implementation of care plans designed to provide meaningful choice and a range of activities and support to meet individual needs. You will also contribute to the development of the team and be responsible for encouraging a culture based on respect and dignity for those in need of care and support, providing supervision and clear management to a team of support workers.
The ideal candidate will have experience of leading and coaching a team supporting people with learning disabilities or another vulnerable client group. Experience of supporting people with high and complex support needs would be an advantage. Job Purpose
To manage YMCA Doncaster’s accommodation provision, being responsible for rent collection, void management, behaviour management, engagement in other YMCA Doncaster provision and the monitoring of performance across those areas, and to manage occasional funded projects as agreed.
Main Responsibilities
- To be accountable for meeting or exceeding targets for rent collection, applications and void management.
- To oversee the proactive management of behaviour, engagement and complaints.
- To provide line management to the accommodation team including recruitment, induction and training.
- To advise senior staff on matters impacting policies or procedures, and to bring day-to-day experience to developmental / strategic discussions.
- To contribute to gathering information and evidence relating to the regulatory framework for registered providers, safety issues and other licencing and similar matters.

The Service Manager will be responsible for the operations of one service in Berkshire (Slough) which supports one individual to live in his own home.
The individual is a sociable and engaging man with a warm sense of humour and a deep appreciation for nature, music, and familiar company. He lives with a diagnosis of moderate learning disability, autism spectrum disorder, psychotic illness, epilepsy, and type 2 diabetes, all of which require thoughtful and consistent support. The customer has been living successfully in his current placement for over ten years, where he benefits from the continuity of staff who know him well, understand his routines, and help him maintain a sense of safety and autonomy.
The role will provide line management for a team of seven Specialist Behaviour Support Workers, ensuring that compliance with organisational, legal regulations and those of the local authority are adhered to and the quality of support is of the highest standard possible, ensuring excellent quality of life for the customer and a good working environment for colleagues.
The service has received a CQC rating of Good. The current team size includes 5 FTEs (Specialist Behaviour Support Workers) plus 2 FTEs Waking Night Support Workers, ensuring comprehensive support coverage across all shifts.
The working pattern for this role is primarily Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, with occasional requirements for weekend and out-of-hours work to meet service needs.

As our new Compliance Housing Officer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality housing services and ensuring property compliance across our sites. You will ensure all statutory and regulatory obligations are met, particularly in relation to health and safety, property standards, and landlord responsibilities. You’ll also oversee responsive mechanical and electrical services, ensuring safe and reliable housing for our residents. For an initial six months, the role will take the lead on coordinating the onboarding of new properties in and around Hove whilst also providing essential support across our property portfolio.
In delivering the role, you will be responsible for:
- Managing onboarding and tenancy processes, including home visits, occupancy checks, and emergency protocols.
- Coordinating repairs and compliance checks, ensuring timely completion
- Monitoring housing regulations and safety standards (e.g. gas, fire, legionella, asbestos).
- Conducting inspections and audits, maintaining regulatory registers, and supporting contractor management.
- Delivering excellent customer service and supporting income collection and tenancy issue resolution.
- Representing YMCA DownsLink Group in meetings with landlords and suppliers and supporting service improvement initiatives.
Qualifications, knowledge, and experience
- Experience in the housing sector, particularly in regulated environments and property compliance. Strong knowledge of housing legislation and safety standards.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder relationship skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results.
- Proficiency in digital tools (e.g. Microsoft Office 365, property management systems).
- A CIH Level 3 qualification in Housing Maintenance, Lettings, or Housing Services — or equivalent compliance or health & safety qualifications (City & Guilds/IOSH/NEBOSH).
- A full driving licence and access to a car for travel across service sites within the working day.

About the role
As our Grants and Impact Manager, you will play a pivotal role in sustaining and growing Caring in Bristol’s income from Trusts, Foundations and statutory grants, by acquiring and managing high-value funder relationships. You will also be instrumental in delivering a best-practice funder engagement programme, finding innovative ways to create value for funders through tailored reports, webinars, site visits, and other forms of involvement. Acting as an ambassador for Caring in Bristol, you will represent us to funders and stakeholders with credibility and passion, using your insight to strengthen our reputation and influence.
Finally, you will act as a voice of the funder within the charity, ensuring their perspective shapes our project design, monitoring, and communications.
