This is an exciting opportunity to lead a collaboration partnership project between TCC, Wrexham Citizens Advice, and Wrexham Foodbank. This project will work to reduce poverty and the impact of poverty on people living in Wrexham.

The project coordinator role will be supported by management from the three partnership organisations.

The project coordinator will be responsible for the management and coordination of the project including budgeting, planning and implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. They will coordinate the project partners and wider stakeholders to support an influencing campaign in Wrexham funded by Lloyds Bank Foundation England and Wales.

Key Tasks Include:

• Raising awareness of the problem of poverty and its structural causes amongst those living and working in the county
• Making local elected officials, policy makers, and local organisations aware of the drivers of poverty and encourage them to take steps to alleviate these drivers
• Running community workshops, training, and other engaging activities to partner with people, including those with lived experience of turning to poverty support organisations (such as a food bank)
• Think strategically about how best to bring about change locally, working with a range of stakeholders, and enabling local people to engage with local policy makers
• Collaborative working – bringing the partner organisations together in a strategic and creative way
• Coordinating the setting of agreed project milestones with partners and track progress
• Being the main point of contact for all partners
• Coordinating partnership meetings (confirming chair, finding meeting venue, sending invites, setting meeting  agendas, and distributing notes)
• Preparing presentations and reports with input from all partners
• Coordinating and implementing monitoring and evaluation of the project

The Head of Business Development role

We are looking for an experienced, confident, and committed Head of Business Development to join our growing charity. This senior role is part of GMYN’s leadership team and would be responsible for coming up with new business opportunities to generate income, as well as produce proposals to various funders and trusts.

It is a hugely exciting time to join GMYN and the Head of Business Development is a vital role. The charity is growing and extending our programmes and services across Greater Manchester, and we will be launching our new three year strategy in July. This role is key to support with leading the charity to achieve financial and growth targets as well as coming up with new and innovative business opportunities.

You will also have the opportunity to influence the future direction of GMYN as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, providing strategic input into how we deliver our services to help transform the lives of young people.

Key responsibilities

• Lead on all commissioning activity at GMYN directly with commissioners and through tendering activity.
• Lead and support the creation of high-quality bids to a variety of local and national funders/foundations.
• Develop a thorough understanding of GMYN’s programmes and services in order to promote and create business development opportunities to generate income.
• Identify new opportunities across Greater Manchester to identify new partnerships and collaborations based on consultation and research (e.g. housing, health, schools, commissioners, colleges, local authorities and local businesses).
• Promote and secure funding for GMYN’s existing traded services (training, consultancy) and develop new ones to create new income generation opportunities.
• Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing stakeholders including funders, delivery partners, businesses and participants.
• Design and implement an income generation strategy alongside the CEO that supports growth, and impact of GMYN’s programmes.
• Provide strategic overview for GMYN’s design of new programmes and impact measurement, ensuring GMYN can evidence the difference we make.
• Line management of the organisation’s Fundraising and Development team.
• To form a key part of the GMYN Senior Leadership team, supporting the day to day running of the organisation.
• Contribute to helping GMYN provide a positive, ambitious and collaborative team culture.

Personal Specification

You don't have to have worked in the voluntary youth sector previously. Our aim is to find a suitable candidate that can meet the selection criteria below. This can be from a past/current income generation/business development role, or a role with transferable skills.

More importantly we are looking for someone with genuine passion for working for a youth charity. Someone who can join our fundraising team and make a big impression, helping us to achieve our income generation goals. We want to hire an enthusiastic person who can maintain positive working relationships with various supporters, delivery partners and all stakeholders.

• Proven experience in achieving new business and generating income for an organisation, with relevant experience in a similar role or a role with transferable skills.
• Experience of successful bid production and bid management – from identification of opportunity through to submission.
• Track record in successful tendering for retention of contracts and new business.
• Experience of developing and maintaining effective networks, relationships, and partnerships – internally and with external stakeholders – to support development of proposals and service design.
• Knowledge of public sector commissioning, particularly from a third sector and ability to work with local authorities and other funders.

OVERVIEW

Rising Sun Domestic Violence and Abuse Service (the Rising Sun) is an independent charity in Kent working to prevent domestic abuse and improve the lives of survivors and their children suffering from its effects. We have an ambitious vision for a world in which women and children live free from actual or threatened domestic abuse and all forms of violence.

Our team provide a range of services to adults and children who’ve experienced domestic abuse. We understand the impact of domestic abuse on survivors and so we listen to individual needs and respond in a trauma informed way. We provide one-to-one support and also deliver therapeutically informed group programmes to help survivors to recognise healthy/unhealthy behaviours in relationships and to understand the impact of domestic abuse. Bringing survivors together validates experiences and enables them to draw strength from one another.

We are looking for a creative and proactive individual who has experience of supporting survivors of domestic abuse. Working with survivors of domestic abuse as an outreach worker, you will play a crucial role in advocacy, risk assessment, safety planning and empowerment.

As part of our passionate and committed team of approximately 45 staff, our aspiration is that you will thrive and develop in this varied role. You will be contributing to the invaluable work of the Rising Sun and making a lasting difference to the lives of those who are impacted by domestic abuse.

JOB PURPOSE

• To provide practical and emotional support to survivors of domestic abuse, including crisis intervention, risk assessment and safety planning.
• To develop individual support plans, which address the risk of harm and offer information, advocacy, advice and signposting to survivors, underpinned by individual risk and need.
• To empower survivors, thereby increasing self- esteem, reducing isolation and helping survivors to keep safe.
• To provide survivors with information relating to their rights and ensuring survivors are empowered to make decisions based on their options.
• To work in collaboration with the adult team and wider Rising Sun team to support other programmes delivered within the organisation.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Service delivery

• Work as part of a team providing high quality support, advice, advocacy and information to survivors of domestic abuse.
• Manage a caseload in accordance with organisational policies and procedures and adhere to confidentiality.
• Work in a needs led way with a specific focus on a trauma informed approach, which recognises domestic abuse and its impact.
• Work holistically with survivors, recognising individual needs, and help survivors to recognise and build on their strengths and abilities to build self-esteem and resilience.
• Offer support face to face or remotely, via phone or video call, depending on the needs of the survivor and current guidance around social distancing.
• Attend regular supervision and appraisals with line-manager.
• Work effectively in partnership with other agencies and refer on appropriately, dependant on need and risk. This may include referral to specialist agencies, to other specialist DVA services or other external processes (for example MARAC).
• Assess risk to individuals on a regular basis using the DASH risk indicator checklist.
• Work with survivors to develop tailored support plans with a focus on reducing the risk of harm, increasing their personal safety (and that of any children) and responding to their individual needs.
• Support survivors to be able to identify and manage the risks to themselves and their children
• Provide information to survivors in relation to their options, including guidance in relation to their housing, legal and welfare rights and advocate on their behalf as required.
• Encourage service users’ participation in service development, continuous improvement and feedback exercised.
• Represent the Rising Sun at relevant community meetings and forums.
• Support Rising Sun’s community services including our One Stop Shop drop in service and group programmes.
• Maintain up to date and accurate records and ensure, reports and evaluations are completed as required.

• Contribute to wider team meetings and discussions to share learning and feed into organisational developments.

This position is primarily home-based, with regular travel across Greater London as required. The role is full-time, offering a competitive salary between £33,000 - £35,000 per annum, dependent on experience and qualifications. The Role

Harm towards children and young people is a global issue, and can include physical and emotional abuse, neglect and exploitation, sexual abuse and other forms of gender-based violence. We recognise that the impact of experiencing such harm has significant and long-term consequences that can create barriers to an individual reaching their full potential.

This is an exciting opportunity to support a global network of up to 40 partners in strengthening and developing their safeguarding practices and embed our global framework, supporting KTI and our partner organisations to meet institutional contractual requirements.

In this key role, you will lead and implement the safeguarding strategy, working closely with the Director of Delivery and Impact and with the Senior Leadership Team providing advice and updates regarding safeguarding and risk management to our Board, various committees, and teams. You will work closely across functions but particularly within the programmes team, supporting the safer programming of our young people across 20 countries via a network of in-country delivery partners. This year we are launching our Partner Portal which will include safeguarding training and development in addition to the partner training already provided, your knowledge will be crucial as you work closely with our Digital and Design and Impact teams in the development and implementation of this training.

You will have extensive experience of supporting organisations to deliver safe and impactful programmes, having developed the systems process and frameworks to support this. You will be a strong communicator with the ability to adapt your communication style to diverse audiences both in the UK and internationally, with the ability to produce and deliver engaging and culturally relevant training. A team player, you will work well across teams with a proactive and solutions focused attitude. Key Duties:

• To be the first point of contact for the existing network of Digital Champions in the borough, and support organisations to recruit, onboard and manage new Digital Champions.
• To directly manage a pool of Digital Champions under BVSC and lead on recruitment, onboarding, and training.
• To organise regular online and face-to-face meetings for Digital Champions.
• To develop and implement a communications plan that raises awareness of the Digital Champions Network in Bexley and of the challenges and opportunities digital inclusion presents.
• To explore new opportunities with partners and the sector more broadly in a way that aims to expand the digital champions project and create a more digitally inclusive culture for Bexley residents.
• To organise regular events, training and information sessions for Digital Champions based on needs.

This unique position will contribute to the strategic development of the charity, allowing the right individual to bring expertise from previous roles to expand external partnerships and influence.  Keychange is a Christian Charity working in elderly social care and homeless communities.  Keychange provides care, support, development, and well-being services across nine sites in England, consisting of seven residential Care Homes for older people and two Housing Communities for young people, with an additional housing site in development. The Director of Strategic Partnerships reports to the CEO and is a part of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) along with the Director of Finance, the Director of Operations and Facilities Business Manager.  The SLT is responsible for the leadership, culture and oversight of Keychange in the Central Office and Community Sites.

Situated in the Programmes, Policy & Impact Directorate, and reporting into the Head of UK Programmes, the Programme Lead, Carer Poverty Alleviation is a new role linked to the development of a new major programme operating in England, Scotland, and Wales. The Carer Poverty Alleviation Programme is a new Carers Trust programme under our strategic goal that no carer is pushed into poverty or is financially disadvantaged by their caring role.

We are looking for an Interim External Affairs Manager to help lead our communications activities from 24 June 2024 to 31 December, while our permanent External Affairs Manager is on sabbatical. EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT TO THE SLT

About the role
Are you a registered Health Care Professional with an interest in the early diagnosis of cancer looking for a new challenge and interested in working in the charitable sector? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join Macmillan’s Centre of Clinical Expertise. 

During this two day a week six month role you will be leading on agreed pieces of work focused on the earlier diagnosis of cancer. The specific details of projects are to be confirmed but potential current projects include:

• Investigating ways to address the inequalities in the early diagnosis of bowel cancer 
• Supporting Primary Care Teams to address the inequalities faced by under-represented populations in the earlier diagnosis of cancer 
• The impact of co-morbidities on the earlier diagnosis of cancer, in particular in under-served populations.

You will bring insight, ideas, experience and thought leadership to the role to inform issues impacting on the earlier diagnosis of cancer with a focus on the impact of Health Inequalities. 

About you
We are looking for a motivated and driven individual with evidence of management and clinical leadership experience and a strong interest in the earlier diagnosis of cancer, in particular for those with poorer outcomes. You will need to have good working knowledge of the current healthcare system and be a clinician with strong understanding of the issues impacting cancer diagnosis.

At Ambitious about Autism, we’re currently looking for a Research Manager to join our External Affairs team.

You’ll conduct and commission research projects, publish and disseminate research findings to ensure we are maximising our reach and impact, and ensure that we are using relevant and up-to-date evidence throughout our work.

You’ll identify key research needs and questions to continually improve our activities and impact for autistic children and young people, drafting briefs and managing independent researchers to deliver projects on time and to budget.

You’ll use both quantitative and qualitative research methods to develop and support co-produced research with autistic children and young people, as well as parents and carers, whilst ensuring that new evidence is embedded into our resources, working collaboratively with the policy, communications, fundraising and service delivery teams to ensure that we maximise the impact of our findings.

The successful candidate will be joining the organisation at an exciting time and this role will play a central role in providing an evidence base for us to influencing Government, as well as enable us to engage media and public attention to our calls for change. It will also look for ways to unlock insight and learning, so we can influence the practice of the wider education sector.
