We’re looking for an Assistant Legacy Officer to join our sector-leading Legacy Management Team. This is a unique opportunity to help steward one of the most meaningful forms of giving - ensuring every legacy is honoured with care, precision, and respect.

In this vital role, you’ll:

• Manage your own caseload of pecuniary legacies, ensuring accurate and timely administration.
• Liaise with solicitors, executors, and supporters to resolve queries and uphold our legacy policies.
• Support the team in maintaining BHF’s reputation as a trusted and professional legacy recipient.
• Help maximise income from bequests, directly supporting our life-saving research.
• Demonstrate ability to engage sensitively with bereaved families.
• Confidently balance workload demands and ensure completion within required timeframes.

Legacies account for over half of our income, making this role central to our mission to beat heart and circulatory diseases for good.

About You

You’ll have experience in legacy administration or managing large volumes of client records using a case management system. You’re confident working with data and understand the importance of accuracy and sensitivity, especially when dealing with personal or financial information.

Your communication skills are excellent and you approach conversations with empathy and professionalism. You’re comfortable using Microsoft Office and other IT systems, and you know how to stay organised and manage competing priorities in a busy environment.

You enjoy working as part of a team and are always open to learning and sharing ideas. You thrive in fast-paced, purpose-driven settings and are motivated by making a positive impact.

Working arrangements

This is a fixed term contract ending on 30 September 2026 covering Family Leave.

Job Title: Individual Giving Officer

• Department: Fundraising

• Responsible for: Individual Giving 

• Working Hours: 23.25 hours per week. 15-month contract

1. Purpose of the Role

• Working with the Head of Fundraising develop programmes for the recruitment and retention of individual supporters.

• Maximise income across channels including direct mail, email, social media. Working with other team members to deliver this.

• Grow income stream from individual giving products such as appeals, raffles, lotteries and other individual giving products, such as our Pet Pen Sponsorship.

• Develop budgets and business plans and contribute to fundraising strategy. 

• Manage and optimise supporter experience for retention, engagement, and cross-marketing. 

• Analyse appeal results for continual improvement.

2. Principle Tasks

• Oversee the annual individual giving fundraising calendar and campaigns from start to finish.

• Plan and manage direct marketing and digital appeals, including supplier coordination.

• Conduct market research and maintain awareness of trends to inform innovation.

• Prepare budgets and monitor performance.

• Develop donor recruitment campaigns.

• Develop supporter journeys.

• Develop warm programmes.

• Write fundraising copy, providing guidance on design to artworkers. Work with local studio artists and internal staff to produce final materials.

We’re looking for a Gift Processing Administrator, to play a key role in the smooth processing of all donations received at our London office.

What does this role do?
As Gift Processing Administrator, you’ll:

• process all incoming donations, from uploading data to the supporter database and sending thank you letters, to assisting charity shops with the administration of Gift Aid,
• work closely with Gift Processing Officers on more complex work, such as problem payments or refunds,
• accurately capture supporter consent preferences, ensuring data is entered correctly and in line with regulatory requirements,
• support the Supporter Stewardship team with emails during busy periods.

This role is being offered as a fixed term, family cover contract until December 2026. Interviews for this role are provisionally scheduled for Friday 21st November 2025, and will take place on Teams.

Duties will include but not be limited to: 

Business Development

• Work with the Head of Fundraising to develop strategies which increase Ygam’s visibility in the corporate space.

• Conduct prospective supporter research; establish and grow the partnerships pipeline, and develop pitches to meet shared objectives, working with the Head of Fundraising. 

• Build strong relationships with organisations that share our values.

• Manage the prospect pipeline using Salesforce, segmenting the pipeline into areas of programme interest and tracking applications, expected and actual income and reporting deadlines. 

Relationship Building: 

• Craft engagement plans to deepen existing relationships and maximise fundraising opportunities 

• Provide excellent account management for new and established partners, including regular and meaningful communication.

• Produce relevant, creative, and compelling proposals, reports and updates to keep our corporate partners motivated and engaged. 

• Identify and execute creative ways to bring our work to life for funders.

Summary of the role:

The Income Generation Support Officer will provide day-to-day administrative departmental support and support to the department Director to ensure the successful delivery of the organisation’s operations in an efficient manner. This role will focus on generating reports, tracking progress, and ensuring all the necessary processes relating to compliance, finance and HR are completed in a timely and accurate manner.

About the Role:

1. Maintain and improve departmental filing systems to achieve maximum efficiency.
2. Prepare purchase orders and document payments according to Muslim Aid’s financial procedure and in conjunction with the Finance team to ensure speedy payment of invoices for internal / external stakeholders.
3. Undertake small-scale project work including researching, analysing and recommending next steps.
4. Provide support to the IGM management team in responding to correspondence, booking meetings, minute-taking, planning and supporting events, organising travel and preparing travel itineraries and relevant tasks as required.
5. Track Managers delivery of action points to ensure timeframes and outcomes are met, escalating to Head or Director of IGM for further action as appropriate.
6. Undertake full inbox and extensive diary management, ensuring an effective use of time and preparation of information in advance. Sort, redirect and action emails and review an effective ‘bring up’ system to brief and prepare the Director Income Generation and Marketing for meetings / events.

• Liaise with supporters in timely communication via email, phone, and mail, with excellent customer care
• Prioritise answering incoming phone calls and escalate any difficult situations/complaints to the Senior Supporter Care Manager
• Support processing incoming phone and postal donations
• Assist with banking and processing incoming/outgoing post
• Be responsible for thanking our supporters, including by letter, email and phone, dispatch of information and fundraising materials
• Enter and maintain accurate records on our Database
• Maintain and assist with all types of donation processing, administration and Database record amendments/records being kept up to date. This will include Gift Aid status and contact consent requests
• Assist with cancelling and amending all types of regular gifts and sending out appropriate letters
• Manage the removal process and consent process
• Assist with sending out problem payment letters
• Following up cancelled regular payments as part of the winback process

Save the Children UK has an exciting opportunity for a creative and proactive individual with extensive data and evaluation experience to join us as our Senior Partnership and Innovation Officer. 

In this role, you will work within the Smallshaw-Hurst Children's Community (SSH CC), collaborating not only with children and families but also with parents, local schools and teachers, universities, and community organisations to drive meaningful, sustainable change. You'll lead innovative, evidence-informed initiatives that strengthen the community and improve outcomes for children and young people across Tameside. 

This role is for a 12-month Fixed Term Contract (Maternity Cover).

Our focus is on place-based interventions, systems change, and collaborative initiatives, fostering resilience and creating opportunities for children, especially those facing challenging circumstances.

About the role
As the Senior Partnership & Innovation Officer, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering community-led, collaborative projects that improve outcomes for children, families, and the wider community. Working closely with the SSH CC CEO, you will help strengthen partnerships across Tameside, Greater Manchester and beyond, supporting local innovation and sharing evidence and learning that informs wider policy and practice. 

In this role, you will: 

• Develop and maintain relationships with a wide range of community groups, organisations, partnerships and networks across the Children's Community, Greater Manchester and nationally. 
• Support the development and delivery of SSH CC's local systems-change and innovation agenda. 
• Capture and share learning from local delivery to support national influence, including creating case studies, events, and resources. 
• Share insights and identify opportunities to scale community-led best practice. 
• Develop and manage effective communication strategies to raise SSH CC's visibility and celebrate community achievements. 

About you 
To be successful, you will have: 

• A strong background in engaging with families and communities to co-develop strategies and programmes. 
• Proven experience of building and maintaining multi-stakeholder relationships and partnerships in educational, community, or local authority settings. 
• Proven ability to design and lead innovative projects or programmes that drive change. 
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging across audiences and platforms. 
• Strong understanding and application of digital tools for data collection, analysis, and communications (e.g. websites, social media). 
• A sound understanding of the impact of poverty on families and the systemic barriers communities face. 
• A commitment to Save the Children UK and Smallshaw-Hurst Children's Community's shared mission, vision, and values.

This is an exciting brand-new position within our growing Public Fundraising team supporting on our Individual Giving, Community Fundraising and Sports & Challenges programme. NB. We do not expect you to have experience in all three areas (Individual Giving, Community Fundraising and Sports & Challenges).

This role will contribute to the delivery of our Public Fundraising activity, helping to maximise income and create a great supporter experience for both new and existing supporters.

You’ll project manage fundraising activities and supporter journeys from start to finish, delivering them on time and in line with annual plans and budget. You will analyse and evaluate activity so that we can inform future plans and support the annual planning of the team’s activity.

You’ll have strong relationship-building skills and the ability to communicate effectively with our supporters across a range of channels, including mail, e-mail, telephone and face-to-face. You will also be able to work collaboratively with the Communications, Corporate, and Digital Engagement teams on a variety of projects.

We’re now seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Operations Director to help drive this momentum – leading the way in reimagining how we work to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, and embedding a culture of shared  leadership, continuous learning, and improvement. 

You will be a natural collaborator and a strong communicator, able to build trusted relationships with colleagues, partners, and stakeholders alike. In this role, you’ll ensure that our operations run smoothly and effectively – aligningsystems and processes with our strategic goals while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations. 

You’ll provide strategic leadership and operational oversight across our core functions, including: 

• Finance 

• Human resources 

• Digital and communications

Please note that this role can be offered on a hybrid basis, with a minimum of three days per week in the office. As an organisation rooted in community, we believe that regular in-office presence is important to foster collaboration, connection and team cohesion. The role is part-time (28 hours per week), and these hours can be worked over four or five days, depending on your preference

About the role ofHead of Principal Donors

As Head of Principal Donors, you will lead and manage the Foundation’s philanthropy programme, working closely with our senior leadership team and our founder to personally cultivate and steward the Foundation’s principal donors. This includes overseeing our recently formed Accelerate Circle – a select group of visionary philanthropists who help drive the Foundation’s fundraising through their networks.

In this role you will:

• Develop and deliver the Foundation’s philanthropy strategy, playing an active
  leadership role in the successful delivery of income growth from UHNWI and
  HNWIs
• Develop the Accelerate Circle of patrons and deliver a solicitation strategy to
  expand membership and grow our community of donors and supporters
• Provide exceptional stewardship to existing donors and cultivate new donors
• Work closely with our founder and their office to design, plan and deliver highROI engagement such as income-generating dinners or paid speeches
• With the Director Fundraising and Communications, develop annual plans and
  budgets, along with longer term forecasts for income from individuals
• Work proactively with our Communications and Programmes teams to identify
  and create funded or high-return opportunities to gain visibility in key markets
• Support staff to deliver and, where appropriate, lead on fundraising and
  cultivation events and donor trips
• In consultation with the Director, lead on financial reporting for philanthropy
  income, advising on risks and opportunities, producing regular reports of
  income against plans and forecasts, and monitoring day to day income tracking

Our ideal candidate is: 

• Experienced in cultivating and stewarding high-net-worth individual donors – with a proven track record of securing six or seven figure donations
• Capable of developing and delivering a successful philanthropy strategy
• Comfortable and experienced working with high profile individuals and senior volunteers including managing development boards, giving circles or other forms of peer-to-peer fundraising approaches
• Excellent at managing relationships and able to successfully influence people at all levels with clear and persuasive communication
