Our charity has grown rapidly over the last five years, with each year bringing new faces and new opportunities. This year, we’re excited to be welcoming a Fundraising Manager to join our team.
In this role, you’ll work closely with our CEO and operations team to deliver our annual fundraising targets, focusing on individual giving, trusts and foundations, and fundraising events/external opportunities. Partnerships are currently managed by the CEO and our Board of Trustees.
We have a fun, joyful working culture and work flexibly and mostly remotely, though you may occasionally need to attend meetings in London or travel for events. Our registered office is in Margate, so if you’re local or fancy a change of scene, you’re welcome to come and work by the sea.
As this is a new role for Not A Phase, we’re looking for someone confident, proactive and full of ideas. You’ll have the freedom to shape and implement your own systems and processes, with full support from the team.
It’s vital that you have an understanding of the issues currently faced by the trans+ community in the UK. We recently launched our new five-year strategy, Joy as an Act of Resistance, which will guide our mission in these challenging times. Our vision at Bluebell Wood is for every baby, child and young person with a life limiting condition to access specialist palliative care, where and when they need it. Our uncompromisable support services are wide-ranging and bespoke to each family. We provide symptom management, end-of-life care, post-death care, short breaks, counselling, sibling support groups, music therapy, home visits and more.
We support families across a large geographical area, including South Yorkshire, North Nottinghamshire, North Derbyshire and parts of North Lincolnshire. The hospice is easily accessible from Barnsley, Rotherham, Doncaster, Sheffield and North Notts, making our reach truly regional and inclusive.
Every year, we must raise £6.7 million to keep our doors open, and only 17% comes from government sources. The rest is powered by the generosity and commitment of supporters like you. Your leadership in corporate fundraising will help secure vital resources, build strategic partnerships, and create a sustainable future for our hospice.

The role:
To lead and grow Bluebell Wood’s corporate fundraising income by identifying, cultivating, and stewarding relationships with corporate partners and philanthropic major donors. This role will play a key part in building a robust pipeline of corporate supporters, developing strategic partnerships, and contributing to the long-term sustainability of the hospice’s income. The post-holder will also be a visible ambassador within the regional community, building strong local connections and supporting wider fundraising initiatives.
What You Will Do
Corporate Fundraising & Relationship Development
· Proactively identify and research potential corporate supporters across sectors.
· Build and maintain a strong pipeline of corporate prospects, ensuring regular communication and relationship nurturing.
· Deliver compelling pitches and proposals that align with corporate CSR objectives and the impactful work of Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.
Regional Engagement
· Become the recognised face of fundraising within the catchment area, championing the work of Bluebell Wood.
· Represent the hospice at presentations, talks, and networking events to raise awareness and promote fundraising opportunities.
Strategic Planning & Collaboration
· Work with the Fundraising Development Manager to identify and engage philanthropic individuals within corporate networks.
· Support the development of bespoke stewardship plans for major donors linked to corporate partnerships.
· Support regional events in collaboration with the Events Fundraiser, contributing to their success both locally and across other areas.
Income Generation & Promotion
· Promote all areas of fundraising including In Memory, Lottery, Events, and Individual Giving to relevant audiences.
· Contribute innovative and creative ideas for income generation that help Bluebell Wood stand out.
· Adapt approaches to support donors on their journey with Bluebell Wood, fostering connection and enthusiasm.
Data Management & Compliance
· Ensure all donor interactions are accurately recorded in the CRM system and that all supporters are thanked promptly and appropriately.
· Drive corporate income through data driven insights that align to the strategic Income Generation direction.
· Apply guidance from the Fundraising Regulator and Institute of Fundraising to all fundraising activity.
What You’ll Bring
· Strategic thinker with the ability to plan and prioritise effectively.
· Proven track record of income generation with a creative and innovative approach.
· Proven experience in corporate fundraising, business development, or relationship management.
· Demonstrable success in securing and managing corporate partnerships.
· Experience of working within financial budgets and KPIs
· Knowledge of fundraising regulations, GDPR, and best practice guidelines.
· Knowledge of and ability to use Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams, plus Zoom Conferencing (to intermediate level)

This is an exciting new role in which you will proactively generate and grow fundraising income across all fundraising streams to enable us to continue supporting the most vulnerable members of the Irish community. You will support our fundraising strategy by contributing to digital communications and creative content across all channels, in cooperation with project delivery teams. The role will play a central part in raising awareness and growing supporter engagement through digital campaigns, donor events, individual giving initiatives and the development of relationships with local businesses.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and deliver BIAS’s community fundraising strategy.
- Develop and implement a varied portfolio of events, community fundraising activities and campaigns, all of which reflect the spirit of BIAS.
- Explore marketing opportunities to raise the profile of the charity.
- Ensure relevant processes are in place to deliver successful, profitable community fundraising activities.
- Oversee the management of fundraising systems and platforms in order to create the best possible experience for donors and participants.
- Develop a robust supporter journey for community fundraisers which leaves them with an excellent experience and generates a long-term relationship with BIAS.
To achieve these objectives, the post holder will be expected to:
- Plan, budget, coordinate and attend an annual community fundraising and events calendar with set objectives, budgets and KPIs for each activity.
- Regularly review the performance of fundraising activities/events, making recommendations for improvement.
- Build and maintain a variety of community relationships across varying stakeholders.
- Explore and coordinate fundraising opportunities such as online donation platforms, auction platforms and text-to- donate services.
- Work with colleagues to ensure that all events are adequately supported with staff, volunteers and post-event debriefs.
- Ensure that all events and activities are compliant with the Code of Fundraising Practice, GDPR and internal policies.
This job description reflects the basic duties required of the Fundraising Manager. However, it is necessary for all staff to be flexible and you may be required from time to time to perform other reasonable duties which are required for the efficient running of the organisation. What we’re looking for…
- Experience of designing and delivering successful community fundraising events, campaigns and activities, preferably with a track record of at least two years.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills, including budget and project management.
- Ability to build excellent working relationships, especially with supporters and partners.
- Strong team player who will ensure clear and regular communication with the BIAS management team.
- Ability to keep calm under pressure and maintain a clear head, anticipating risks and problems.
- A willingness to adapt and be flexible.

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People has been creating life-changing partnerships between hearing dogs and deaf recipients since 1982. Playing a pivotal role in supporting this growth, the Associate Director of Performance Marketing is a newly created and influential position with significant scope to shape how Hearing Dogs grows their supporter base, sustains their supporter and volunteer community and attracts more people to their services through impactful digital and multi-channel marketing. The postholder will lead marketing activity that is insight-led and audience focused to ensure that each campaign strengthens connection, builds loyalty and generates sustainable income. This includes being responsible for growing the charity’s flagship Puppy Sponsorship programme to increase value and volume, establishing a legacy marketing programme and identifying opportunities for cross-selling and deeper engagement across all products.
The ideal candidate will be a senior strategic leader responsible for driving individual giving growth and supporter retention through digital and multi-channel marketing. You will have a strong commercial, income generation and digital background, you will lead marketing that is insight led and have a deep understanding of how AI technologies can help the charity enhance performance. Advanced skills in using data, analytics and audience insight to shape strategy, optimise campaigns and measure impact will be essential, alongside strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams. Finally, you will have excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills at a senior level.

Our Sunflower Appeal launched in June 2025 and aims to raise £5million by 2029 to open a new cancer centre at the Princess Royal Hospital, Telford. This will double chemotherapy capacity in the region, as well as adding outpatient clinics and diagnostic facilities for the first time in Telford. This is our biggest appeal to date, and we need to make sure that our fundraising team is robust and able to rise to this challenge.
We’re looking for people to support our amazing community of fundraisers and donors in the following areas:
- Corporate- we work with business from around our region, building long-term charity partnerships, engaging them in supporting events, and involving their teams in volunteering opportunities. One of our new team members will help us build on our programme of corporate engagement, looking across the region to identify and engage new supporters, as well as working closely with our existing friends in the business community. This role can be based at either our Shrewsbury or Telford office.
- Community- Community fundraising is at the heart of our charity, and we are constantly amazed by the commitment and creativity of our supporters across the region. We are looking for another member of our team to support community fundraising and make sure our community have a brilliant experience with us. This role will have a specific focus on building our support in Telford & Wrekin and will be based primarily in our Telford office.
Our Fundraisers need to be able to build successful relationships and will be motivated to make a real difference to their local community through their fundraising efforts. They will be confident, engaging and able to communicate our message to a wide range of people.
