Your role

As we look to further develop volunteering and implement our plans for the future, we are seeking a talented Volunteering Growth Development Manager. As part of the Volunteering Development team, this role is critical in developing the volunteer experience for volunteers now, along with planning and implementing new approaches to attracting volunteers for the future.

This role will work across the organisation but have a focus in developing fundraising volunteering and will lead on:

• Developing and leading projects to improve the volunteering lifecycle and overall experience
• Leading how to celebrate volunteering across the organisation
• Seeking new ways to increase engagement and retention of volunteers

This position can be homebased or hybrid (Poole, Dorset).

About you

You will be an experienced, motivated volunteering professional who has developed and implemented volunteering initiatives on a similar scale. Your communication and stakeholder engagement skills will be first class and most importantly, you will be passionate about making a difference.

Experience of operating across multiple jurisdictions (UK and Ireland) is highly desirable.

Generalist Advice Worker/Advice Session Supervisor or Trainee position

Role Requirements

· In collaboration with the Placement Managers, you will ensure care is appropriately planned and resourced, and you will ensure care is delivered in a safe manner at all times.

· You will be responsible for ensuring that the care in the Houses enables the children to access rehabilitation sessions, clinics, education and leisure activities as scheduled in their timetable.

· You will work as part of a leadership team comprising of a House Unit Manager, 4 x Deputy House Managers / Deputy Clinical Leads and 4 x Clinical Leads.

With experience of working in a complex environment, across a large and diverse workforce, you will be exceptionally organised with a high-level of attention to detail. You will naturally possess excellent inter-personal skills, and an ability to consult and positively engage with key stakeholders across the organisation.

We’re excited to lead a pan-Wales Financial Health and Wellbeing Service funded through our Macmillan partnership to directly help people with a cancer diagnosis and a recruiting Administrators.

This is a first line, important and meaningful holistic information and advice-giving role for an experienced Welfare Benefits Advisor. Your work is mainly done over the phone but may also be in person or digitally where you’ll be advising and making decisions on next actions including giving advice to complete your cases, referring on or escalating the most complex cases.

Service referrals may come from cancer medical professionals or self-referrals from cancer patients. What’s important is you understand the whole picture and gather the right level of financial health information to give appropriate financial benefits advice and signpost to other services from the start of the relationship, so all potential cancer support opportunities are handled professionally.

Our service user experience is key, you’ll make sure the way you work is professional and personable and quality. Overall job purpose

As a Conservation Projects Manager and a key member of the national Conservation team, you will work with experienced consultants and skilled craftspeople, with national and regional colleagues, volunteers, local partners and stakeholders to develop and manage a range of holistic, conservation and new use projects, from inception to completion, and providing professional advice and support to community led projects.  You will lead on capital, conservation and maintenance programmes in East Anglia and beyond as required.

You will have expertise and specialist knowledge in the field of historic building repair and conservation, and a proven track record of project management (client side) in the heritage sector. You might be a Building Surveyor, a Conservation Architect, an Estate Manager, or a Project Manager, in this continually varied and unique role you will be working on some of the most significant historic buildings in the country. As you’ll be working on projects across a large geographical area, it is essential you have a full driving licence.

Our Information and Advice service provides rights-based information, advice and advocacy on Welfare Benefits, Social Care and Housing options; practical assistance with individual grant applications, accessing social tariffs, blue/purple badge and taxi card applications. The service is delivered through a range of channels, including face to face, telephone, email and digital, across Kensington and Chelsea borough.

The London Survivors Collective is comprised of seven organisations (The four London Rape Crisis Centres, Galop, Survivors UK, and Respond) working together to provide comprehensive support to victim/survivors of sexual violence across London. Our alliance model enables us to draw on each member’s expertise and provide all victims/survivors with the specific care that is tailored to their needs.

Services are tailored for women, men, non-binary, LGBTQ+, disabled, neurodiverse victim/survivors addressing intersectional and unique needs. North London Rape Crisis at Solace supports women and girls, transwomen, and non-binary people aged 11+ who have experienced sexual violence at any point in their lives.

About the Role

This is an exciting time to join Solace and North London Rape Crisis. The Helpline Team Manager will provide effective leadership and management of NLRC Helpline service. They will work to ensure that callers into the Helpline receive a high quality, psychologically informed service. The Helpline Team Manager will oversee a team of skilled volunteers and ensure the helpline is a fully staffed, efficient, and supportive service.

They will provide direct line management to an administrator and recruit, train and manage Helpline volunteers to ensure that services are facilitated efficiently and in line with trauma informed practice.

You will support the development of the Helpline service by working in partnership with local services and organisations to ensure survivors are aware of the helpline offer. You will be ensuring diversity and equity is at the centre of the service and service delivery, and that the service continues to be responsive to, and meet the needs of all survivors in a trauma-informed, anti-oppressive way.

About You

Successful applicants will have knowledge of sexual violence and its impact on victim/survivors. You will have strong time management and organisational skills, excellent collaborative working skills and knowledge of the rights for survivors of sexual violence. You will also be empathetic and work from a psychologically-informed framework. It is essential that you have experience of using Office Excel and the ability to use an online case management system. You will also have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Purpose of the Role

The Finance Manager is responsible for the effective financial management and in large part, delivery of the church, ensuring robust systems, accurate reporting, compliance with charity and diocesan requirements, and strong financial planning. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled line manager with experience in general welfare advice to join Sufra NW London. In this highly rewarding role, you will oversee the delivery of services that can measurably change lives by providing quality advice and support to those most in need.

You will manage our team of advice staff and volunteers to deliver high quality advice, information and welfare support to guests on a range of topics including benefits, housing, debt and immigration issues. An additional focus will be on establishing clear pathways for referring guests to external services, and managing volunteers to triage, signpost and refer guests to other forms of welfare support.

The advice team consists of paid staff and support volunteers. This year will be dedicated to consolidation of the service, ensuring that we are fulfilling our core mission to the highest standards. We are also hoping to launch our immigration advice service, providing guests with a first point of contact for their immigration needs and smooth referral pathways to specialist advice.

Finally, our OpenARMs programme will be launching workshops for our refugee and asylum seeker communities.
