Successful candidates for the post of Designer will be able to demonstrate:

• A strong portfolio showcasing a mix of digital, print design and marketing materials, created within brand guidelines
• Experience of working collaboratively on multiple projects simultaneously from concept to completion, meeting deadlines and budget requirements
• Proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator and a working knowledge of Premiere Pro and Microsoft 365 applications. An understanding of HTML/CSS fundamentals would be an advantage
• Knowledge of design trends and developments

The main duties of the Designer role include:

To assist in maximising the potential for union growth, development and success through managing and supporting the work of the department/unit, in line with PCS policy and our ethos as an organising union.

Main duties and responsibilities

1.Design

• Conceive, develop and create compelling graphics for campaigns, reports, newsletters, social media, websites, videos and event materials

We are looking to appoint an exceptional individual to join our team of six Strategic Partnership Advisors across England. We are looking for an individual with experience of working strategically at a place based and/or locality level within the South West region. About the role:

This new role is part of Active Oxfordshire’s continued growth and will lead the strategic direction of our place-based work across the county as well as being formally involved in the Marmot Place work in Oxfordshire.

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team at Active Oxfordshire, the successful candidate will guide our strategy for our focused work in priority areas, build relationships with partners across the system and line manage the Healthy Active Neighbourhoods Manager. You will have experience in identifying strategic opportunities and the ability to develop and nurture relationships at a senior level in partner organisations.

As an experienced line manager, you will be able to bring people together around a specific agenda and create a sense of energy and purpose. 

You will have experience in managing budgets and identifying clear priorities to manage an interconnected workload.

A strong enthusiasm for our cause is a must, as well as the ability to articulate a compelling case for why physical activity is important to embed at place-level. 

What we offer: 

This is a fixed-term contract, initially for 3 years.  The role is a full-time position, working 37.5 hours per week.

You will receive a salary of £48,000 and benefits including a generous 10% contributory pension scheme, Cycle to Work scheme, 38 days annual leave inclusive of bank holidays (pro rata) and our new bespoke Employee Support and Wellbeing Programme.

Hybrid working is available, which means typically one day a week is in the office (Monday) with the rest of the week working remotely from home, within the community or with partner organisations. You will be part of a close-knit Young Lives vs Cancer social work team, working with an established NHS multi-disciplinary team and services in the community.

About the role

We’re looking to recruit a Senior Finance Analyst to join a small team working in our Financial Planning & Analysis unit. The team work together to provide financial support and advice across a wide portfolio of programmes with a variety of funding sources.

As Senior Finance Analyst you will help support the financial management of projects, programmes and donor restricted funds. This will involve formulating and setting budgets, preparing financial reports and forecasts, and managing donor financial audit processes. You will challenge and help budget holders deliver realistic budgets and forecasts for cost centres and projects as well as document reasoning and underlying assumptions for stakeholders. You will clarify any variances too. We will look to you to provide regular financial information across the portfolio, including tracking spending across programme workstreams and cost centres, maintaining fund reporting schedules and reporting forex movements across the portfolio. You will also support a culture of continuous improvement by sharing best practice and developing and streamlining processes. Important will be the ability to assist with capability building across our Network partners as well as deputise for the Head of Programmes Finance where needed.

We’re looking for someone with:

· Accountancy experience & ideally part or fully qualified.

· Experience of preparing donor bids & reports, knowledge of donor rules and regulations for high-compliance donors would be an advantage.

· Significant experience of providing financial reports & information to non-finance staff & supporting them in the management of budgets.

· Experience of delivering against monthly recurring deadlines.

· Good knowledge of finance applications (preferably Business Central).

· Strong communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.

· The ability to encourage a culture of continuous improvement.

 At Future Men, through our practice-led services, we work with boys and men from childhood through to Fatherhood, to help them become healthy, dynamic, future men. From structured school programmes and youth hubs, to individual one-to-one sessions and outreach work, we provide the vital support and advocacy that changes boys and young men’s lives for the better. We focus our work with boys and men who face structural discrimination and disadvantage, including of race, income, and community. 

The Community Engagement Officer is an essential role in fostering strong relationships with current and prospective members of the School Library Association community. The postholder will provide frontline support, drive online and in person engagement through outreach initiatives, and contribute to the growth and sustainability of the membership base. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about school libraries, education, and community-building.

With a particular focus on coordinating and supporting our Branch network, you will collaborate on initiatives for development, delivery and new projects as they come online. You will be the first port of call for advice and expertise relating to school libraries and enabling our members to more effectively support their school communities. Supporting the delivery of online and in-person networking events and workshops for members, you will work with your SLA colleagues, in particular the Training and Events Officer, to deliver a high-quality member offer and to ensure member needs are reflected in all offerings. Branch network and member support

• Work with the CEO to develop the SLA Branch Network and accompanying strategies
• Identify opportunities for developing initiatives to grow and develop the Branch network community, that will deliver on the SLA mission

• Work with the Training and Events Coordinator to support and deliver a calendar of exciting, engaging and informative events

Outreach and communications

• Coordinate the mentoring scheme and ensure it is promoted effectively, with necessary support and development available to mentees and training for mentors
