This is a new role, giving you the opportunity to shape the philanthropy programme and develop donor-centric experiences, proposals and feedback.

Job Purpose

The Executive Assistant will provide operational, strategic and analytical support to the DCEO. This role goes beyond traditional executive assistance and will involve planning, research, project coordination and organisational reporting. The post holder will play a key role in preparing executive insights, analysing departmental reports, and ensuring effective follow-up on strategic priorities. This role requires strong analytical thinking, communication skills and high proficiency in digital tools and technology.

Key Responsibilities

Executive Support

• Manage the DCEO’s calendar, schedule and priority workflow to ensure effective time management
• Coordinate internal and external meetings, prepare agendas and produce accurate minutes and action trackers
• Draft and manage professional correspondence on behalf of the DCEO
• Prepare briefing notes for senior meetings, visits and events
• Organise travel arrangements, itineraries and supporting documentation when required

Strategic Analysis and Insight

• Analyse reports from SMT meetings and departments to produce executive summaries and insights
• Support strategic planning
• Develop briefing papers and analysis to support decision making

Research and Reporting

• Conduct research on sector trends, funding models, charity regulations and strategic opportunities
• Produce clear reports and presentations to support board and SMT meetings

Project Coordination

• Follow up on actions from DCEO and SMT meetings to ensure timely delivery
• Coordinate departmental plans and track progress against milestones

Technology and Digital Support

• Use Microsoft 365 and other AI tools for reporting, planning and communication
• Maintain structured digital documentation and record keeping
• Introduce automation or digital improvements to enhance productivity in the DCEO’s office

Qualifications and Experience

Essential

• Right to Work in the UK
• DBS Certificate
• Degree level or equivalent preferred in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) subjects.
• The candidate must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role as a Personal Assistant or Executive Assistant, ideally supporting senior management.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in preparing professional reports and executive briefings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to research, interpret and present information clearly and concisely
• High level of IT competence
• Strong planning and organisational skills with attention to detail.

This exciting (maternity cover) role is key to encouraging young adults aged 18-30 to join our Interserve community, by harnessing digital tools and platforms and through in-person connections. • Creating and implementing campaigns to help Interserve engage young adults with Christian mission, 

• Co-ordinating initiatives to grow 18-30s engagement with Interserve’s social media channels and activity,

This is a busy but rewarding environment, which offers an excellent opportunity to become involved in and develop a range of communications skills and experience in a small friendly team in a mission organisation context.

About the job role

We have an exciting opportunity for an Estates Manager in our Estates team, working with a range of stakeholders and people who use our services. We are looking for an outstanding individual who has experience in the day-to-day management of our buildings and infrastructure and an ability to manage a dynamic and proactive, forward-looking maintenance environment, including reactive maintenance, water safety, fire safety, and statutory testing. and practical knowledge of CAFM systems and Microsoft systems.

You will also lead on health and safety, ensuring robust compliance, risk management, and safe systems of work across all estate and contractor activities.

You will need:

• Strong technical knowledge of building services, maintenance, and statutory compliance.
• Proven experience managing contractors and planned maintenance programmes in a healthcare or similar environment.

Development Manager

Purpose of the Role 

The Development Manager will play a vital role in expanding The Churchill Fellowship’s income from Trusts, Foundations, and other institutional funders. Working closely with the Development Director, the post holder will identify, cultivate and secure new funding partnerships that support our core Fellowship programme, unrestricted income, and the Activate Programme in line with our organisational priorities. 

The postholder will manage the full funder journey, from initial engagement to long-term stewardship, ensuring all relationships are grown and managed professionally and effectively. They will work closely with relevant departments to coordinate proposals, reports, and communications, helping maintain strong connections with funders.

Key responsibilities 

Prospecting and Pipeline Development 

• Research and identify new potential supporters, primarily from the Trusts & Foundations sector, with some engagement of aligned individuals or family-foundation prospects in conjunction with the wider Development Team.

• Support the Development Director in delivering targeted cultivation and engagement strategies to grow new income streams.

• Build and maintain a healthy, dynamic pipeline of qualified new business opportunities. 

• Monitor sector trends to identify emerging supporters and new partnership opportunities 

Approaches and Proposal Development 

• Prepare tailored, persuasive funding proposals, applications, and cases for support, drawing on internal expertise and materials. 

• Lead on initial engagement with new prospects, coordinating meetings, briefings and follow-up communications. 

• Manage the cultivation process ensuring prospects receive timely and professional engagement throughout. 

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proposals are accurate, evidence-based and aligned with organisational objectives.

Relationship Management 

• Act as the key contact for donors and funders secured through this role, managing relationships and ensuring continuity of communication. 

• Work closely with the Development Director, Appeal Director and CEO to coordinate senior-level involvement in funder engagement where appropriate. 

• Ensure accurate monitoring, evaluation and reporting for all grants, providing timely updates and impact information to funders. Liaise with colleagues across the organisation to identify when and how internal contacts or senior volunteers can support prospect engagement, ensuring this complements any existing relationships or approaches. 

Internal Collaboration and Systems 

• Record all activity in Salesforce, ensuring accurate data capture on all prospect and funder activity. 

• Contribute to income forecasting and team reporting

• Collaborate with colleagues across departments to align fundraising approaches with strategic initiatives, ensuring consistent messaging and shared priorities. 

General 

• Ensure fundraising activity complies with relevant regulations, GDPR, and due diligence processes and ethical fundraising policies 

• Support Development team events and activities as required, occasionally outside normal working hours. 

• Undertake any other duties as reasonably required by the Development Director to support the success of the team and organisation. 

Person Specification

Qualification: 

• Degree level or equivalent transferable skills - Desirable

Skills and Experience 

• 3 - 5 years’ experience in a fundraising, grants or donor facing role, particularly prospecting new funders 
• Proven success in securing funding from Trusts & Foundations or HNWIs, particularly new business (one-off or multiyear grants and repeat grants) 
• Strong experience in research & prospect identification for trusts/foundations or major donors 
• Excellent proposal/application writing, with ability to tailor cases to funder priorities 
• Good interpersonal and communication skills — able to engage funders at senior levels and with colleagues internally 
• Strong organisational skills, managing multiple proposals and deadlines simultaneously 
• Proficiency with CRM systems (preferably Salesforce) and using it to manage pipeline / prospect data 
• Ability to interpret and present information (budgets, impact data, reports) clearly to funders and internal stakeholders 
• Ability to work both independently and in collaboration with senior staff, trustees and senior volunteers 
• Knowledge of fundraising regulations, due diligence and GDPR

The Fundraising Operations and Data Manager is a newly created role in our Fundraising team. They will be responsible for managing the charity’s CRM (Salesforce) and working with colleagues across the team, and wider organisation, to ensure the smooth operational delivery of fundraising processes and activities.

The Fundraising Operations and Data Manager will provide data and donor insights to help identify trends and opportunities that contribute to shaping fundraising campaigns and enhance our stewardship. 

Key responsibilities include:

• Be responsible for the overall management of the Salesforce CRM system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date data entry. This includes processing donations, pipeline updates and managing data imports, exports and migrations to support fundraising activities.
• Create reports and dashboards to enable accurate and timely reporting.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and automation, collaborating with colleagues across the organisation to ensure the smooth operation and optimal use of the CRM.
• Work closely with the Head of Fundraising and Finance Manager to ensure that all donations are thanked in a timely manner and recorded correctly.
• Manage pledge payment tracking and reminders and follow-up processes for multi-year donations. Ensure that data management is carried out in accordance with GDPR and PECR, Villiers Park’s data protection and privacy notices, and the Fundraising Code of Practice. 
• Act as the point person for all prospect research activities, liaising with third party providers and ensuring adherence to data protection requirements and best practice at all times.
• Oversee the recognition framework and stewardship of current supporters, managing a sustainable and creative stewardship programme that engages supporters with our work.
• Create templates and systems that enhance cultivation and stewardship. 
• Generate mailing lists for fundraising and communications, which respond to a range of motivations to give and engagement with the charity. 
• Oversee and deliver operational efficiencies in our fundraising processes, for example, with payment providers and events.
• Any other duties as reasonably requested.
