This is an exciting brand-new position within our growing Public Fundraising team supporting on our Individual Giving, Community Fundraising and Sports & Challenges programme. NB. We do not expect you to have experience in all three areas (Individual Giving, Community Fundraising and Sports & Challenges).

This role will contribute to the delivery of our Public Fundraising activity, helping to maximise income and create a great supporter experience for both new and existing supporters.

You’ll project manage fundraising activities and supporter journeys from start to finish, delivering them on time and in line with annual plans and budget. You will analyse and evaluate activity so that we can inform future plans and support the annual planning of the team’s activity.

You’ll have strong relationship-building skills and the ability to communicate effectively with our supporters across a range of channels, including mail, e-mail, telephone and face-to-face. You will also be able to work collaboratively with the Communications, Corporate, and Digital Engagement teams on a variety of projects.

About Strength & Stem

Strength & Stem is a charity and social enterprise that uses floristry to empower female modern slavery survivors. We want to see female survivors of modern slavery and human trafficking restored from their trauma, empowered for the future, and able to sustain a good quality of life. We achieve our vision by offering an evidence-based, holistic programme. It incorporates tailored skills training (including vocational floristry, prevocational and wellbeing skills training), work experience, mentorship, and a supportive community. Role summary

The Programme Coordinator plays a key operational role at the heart of Strength & Stem, ensuring the smooth delivery of our programmes and events. This includes coordinating a series of 12 weekly floristry and skills workshops, supporting the mentoring scheme, and organising independent events such as our annual graduation celebration, alumni gatherings and ad-hoc floristry workshops.

The role combines logistics, participant engagement, monitoring and evaluation, and communications across all areas of delivery. It is varied and dynamic — balancing hands-on support during programme delivery with significant behind-the-scenes coordination, administration and reporting.

The Role

To provide high-level, proactive, and confidential administrative and executive support to the Senior Leadership Team and the Board of Trustees. This role ensures the efficient coordination of meetings, communications and strategic initiatives by managing schedules, preparing documentation and facilitating effective information flow. The EA acts as a key point of contact between internal and external stakeholders, supporting the governance and operational effectiveness of the Charity at the highest levels.

You will be the lead administrator for governance, ensuring all statutory and regulatory obligations are met, whilst also supporting the effective running of executive meetings, day-to-day leadership functions and education placements.

As our Digital Fundraising & Campaigns Lead, you’ll bring creativity and strategy together to inspire supporters and lead the delivery of our digital fundraising and donor acquisition activities.

Leading a talented team of marketing and campaign professionals, you’ll design and deliver integrated digital campaigns that tell powerful stories, deepen engagement, and help grow our community of supporters.

Using data-driven insights and creative flair, you’ll shape digital strategies that not only strengthen donor relationships but also help bring hope and practical aid to some of the world’s most remote communities.

You’ll collaborate with colleagues and partners across MAF to deliver campaigns, events, and digital initiatives that reflect our mission and values, while keeping innovation, compassion, and impact at the heart of everything you do.

Additionally, you will:
- Build strong agency relationships and oversee campaign delivery
- Act as a trusted adviser to senior leadership on digital strategy
- Lead the planning and delivery of events and volunteer engagement at festivals
- Ensure budgets are well managed and campaigns are delivered efficiently
- Develop and evaluate digital performance metrics and reporting
Location: Folkestone, Kent and Cranfield, Oxford (with hybrid working)

To join us as our Digital Fundraising & Campaigns Lead, you will need:

- At least five years’ experience in digital fundraising and marketing in a charity or mission-driven organisation
- Experience in the end-to-end management of large-scale events
- Experience writing, reviewing, and editing copy for a variety of audiences and uses
- Experience developing and delivering multi-channel digital campaigns with measurable impact
- Experience using analytics tools
- Project management experience
- Demonstrable expertise in paid media strategy and optimisation
- A deep understanding of digital trends, donor behaviour, and fundraising compliance
- Strong creative ideation and direction skills
- To be educated to degree level
- Ideally, two years of team leadership

Chapter One is a dynamic, growing charity with a vision of a world in which all children have the literacy skills needed to thrive. Our mission is to close the reading gap by providing children with one-to-one support at the time they need it most. 

Our unique Online Reading Volunteer programme currently supports around 3,600 children a year. It pairs disadvantaged, struggling five to eight-year old (KS1) readers with reading support volunteers who come from over 170 local and national businesses. The volunteer ask is very focused: readers commit 30 minutes a week to read with a child using a bespoke digital platform for an entire academic year. The results are transformative, boosting children's reading confidence and ability. 

Our Volunteer Engagement Department, which the Volunteer Support Officer role will be part of, ensures that volunteers have everything that they need to make a success of their reading sessions with pupils.

The required start date is Monday 5th January 2026. This is a part-time role of 25 hours per week, working 5 hours per day, Monday to Friday. The set working hours are 09:30–14:30. Please note that the start date and hours are fixed in line with business needs and cannot be adjusted.

This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check, and the post-holder must be permanently based in the UK at the time of applying and for the duration of their employment. We’re looking to grow our delivery team with a brand new role that is responsible for processing the referrals we receive for the Settle Programme as well as holding assessment meetings as and when necessary. The successful candidate will also be a Senior Settle Coach holding a reduced caseload and using their frontline skills to work one-to-one with care-experienced young people across London.

For this role, we anticipate that you will spend 50-60% of your time processing and responding to referrals, including taking further steps to assess the needs of the young person who has been referred. To do this you’ll work closely with our Programme Management team, Business Development team and referral partners to ensure that we have all the necessary information to deal safely and appropriately with referrals. As this is a new role to the organisation, there will be scope to shape and influence the way this work is managed alongside your manager and our Chief Operating Officer.

We then anticipate you will spend the remaining 40-50% of your time as a Senior Settle Coach, working on the frontline, delivering one-to-one sessions with care-experienced young people across London. You’ll work closely with our partners to ensure the smooth delivery of our contracts and with the Programme Management team and Senior Partnerships Manager to support reporting on outcomes and regular partnership meetings.

You will report into a manager within the Programme Management team.

Candidates with experience of assessing and managing risk are encouraged to apply. Essential requirements include the ability to hold multiple perspectives alongside each other, ability to approach risk and need from a curious perspective, comfort and ability to escalate concerns as well as strong people skills. It is essential that the candidate has at least 2 years of frontline experience to fulfil the Senior Settle Coach requirements.

We are advertising this role on a hybrid basis; with travel into the office one or two days a week and travelling to deliver sessions across London for some of the rest of the week.
