Domestic Abuse Women’s Case Worker

37.5 hours per week based at Stockport Women’s Centre

Salary: £25,000 – £27,500

Annual leave: 25 days plus statutory bank holidays

Main Aims of the post:

• To support and work with women from Stockport who are experiencing or experienced domestic abuse which will include safety planning, risk assessment, safeguarding, case management and advocacy.
• To hold and manage a caseload, creating and monitoring personalised support plans.
• To deliver group work to women, relating to domestic abuse awareness.
• To provide a weekly drop-in session to women that are experiencing or have experienced domestic abuse.
• To work collaboratively with our domestic abuse partnership as well as other agencies as appropriate to the case.
• To support the Head of Service as she develops the quality standards for The Women’s Centre.
• as ongoing informal consultation to keep supervisor informed of any changes that require management decisions
• To contribute to the development of the team and to new forms of work or service.
• To maintain an up to date knowledge of and awareness of developments in public policy and legislation regarding women in the criminal justice system and related subjects.

About the role
This role gives you the opportunity to help people build positive relationships and see meaningful change over time. At Your Place, we work to build hope and develop sustainable life skills that support people to move on from homelessness. We work closely with each resident, focusing on their strengths through one‑to‑one and peer‑led support within a compassionate community that encourages progress towards independent living.

As a Support Worker, you will deliver consistent one to one keywork to residents who may be rebuilding their lives after homelessness while navigating multiple needs and complex barriers. You will complete assessments, co‑produce support plans and risk assessments, and work in a trauma‑informed and psychologically aware way that promotes safety, dignity and independence.

You will not be doing this work alone. As part of a dedicated support team, you will collaborate closely with our Community Partnership Team, Resident Services and Move‑On Specialist to create joined‑up pathways, remove barriers and support successful move‑on.

You will work with health services, substance misuse providers, the DWP, Probation, Housing and other partners to ensure residents receive the right support at the right time. Person specification

Experience

· Relevant experience may be gained through work or education, including supporting people affected by homelessness or housing insecurity and multiple needs, such as mental health, substance use, offending, poor physical health, or social isolation.

· Experience working in a trauma-informed and person-centred way, which can be demonstrated either through employment or educational placements, particularly with individuals who may find services difficult to trust.

· Experience completing assessments and co-producing support plans/risk assessments, as well as reviewing progress over time, gained via work, volunteering, or educational settings.

· Experience of partnership working and multi-agency coordination, developed through professional roles or collaborative educational projects.

Skills & knowledge

· Ability to build rapport and maintain professional boundaries, confident communication with residents and professionals.

· Strong organisation and time management; able to manage a caseload and competing priorities.

· Good IT skills such as Microsoft Office and ability to use case management systems e.g., In-Form/Salesforce/Pyramid.

· Understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality, GDPR/data protection and health & safety in a supported housing setting.

· Sound knowledge and understanding of the issues affecting supported housing and vulnerable adult groups

· Ability to work shifts including evenings and weekends and contribute to a team rota.

4. DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
 

4.1       GRANT PROGRAMME MANAGEMENT SUPPORT

To work within organisational strategies and policies, and in accordance with the priorities and guidance as specified by the Programme Manager:
 

• Contribute to the delivery of all aspects of the grant cycle, including responding to applicant inquiries, assessment of applications, presenting and discussing applications with the grant committee and communicating decisions to applicants. On occasion, there may a requirement to contribute to this work for other JRCT grant programmes.

• Assist with monitoring grantees’ work and expenditure of JRCT funds.

• Contribute to the design and delivery of networking, convening or learning initiatives for grantees. 

• Manage and co-ordinate the administration of external events and consultations.  

• Assist the Programme Manager with the administration of proactive projects.

• Keep abreast of external developments through reading, attending conferences and similar events, and liaising with other funders.

• Contribute to the development of grant policy and grant programme reviews.

4.2 GRANT PROGRAMME ADMINISTRATION
 

• With direction from the Programme Manager, co-ordinate and contribute to the preparation and circulation of committee papers for the grant cycle, including writing assessment memos, meeting notes, agenda papers and minutes.  On occasion, there may a requirement to contribute to this work for other JRCT grant programmes.

• Use the grants administration database to process and monitor grant applications and provide reports and statistics.  Maintain accurate database records to enable the appropriate payment and ongoing monitoring of grants. 

• Ensure that effective information storage and retrieval systems (paper and electronic) are developed, maintained and managed for the programme area and maintain records of committee membership and subscriptions.

• Arrange and co-ordinate committee meetings and meetings with applicants/grantees on behalf of the Programme Manager, including related travel, accommodation and room bookings, liaising with trustees and co-optees.

• Liaise with other staff and external colleagues on behalf of the Programme Manager and assist in implementing good communication systems for the staff team and wider organisation.

North London Rape Crisis at Solace supports women and girls, transwomen, and non-binary people aged 11+ who have experienced sexual violence at any point in their lives.

About the Role

This is an exciting time to join Solace and North London Rape Crisis. The Helpline Team Manager will provide effective leadership and management of NLRC Helpline service. They will work to ensure that callers into the Helpline receive a high quality, psychologically informed service. The Helpline Team Manager will oversee a team of skilled volunteers and ensure the helpline is a fully staffed, efficient, and supportive service.

They will provide direct line management to an administrator and recruit, train and manage Helpline volunteers to ensure that services are facilitated efficiently and in line with trauma informed practice.

You will support the development of the Helpline service by working in partnership with local services and organisations to ensure survivors are aware of the helpline offer. You will be ensuring diversity and equity is at the centre of the service and service delivery, and that the service continues to be responsive to, and meet the needs of all survivors in a trauma-informed, anti-oppressive way.

About You

Successful applicants will have knowledge of sexual violence and its impact on victim/survivors. You will have strong time management and organisational skills, excellent collaborative working skills and knowledge of the rights for survivors of sexual violence. You will also be empathetic and work from a psychologically-informed framework. It is essential that you have experience of using Office Excel and the ability to use an online case management system. You will also have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

1. Provide administrative support across a portfolio of income generation streams - Assist in identifying and cultivating strategic partnerships and fundraising relationships, support the development of funding applications, managing donor requirements, reporting to donors, and analysing data.
2. Coordinate TASC’s granting programme - Managing all tasks associated with the annual granting cycle including communication to grantees, including identifying new grantees, supporting the contracting process and supporting the development of the Annual Impact Report. 
3. Provide administrative and research support across TASC’s programme portfolio (Illicit Trade, Education and Responsible Business)
4. General administrative support including TASC’s CRM system

Position in the organisation

• Reports to the CEO but works across all programme pillars to support effective fundraising and granting processes. 

Key Relationships

• Internal relationships - TASC team, consultants, contractors
• External relationships - Donors, grantee organisations

Main Responsabilities 

Will include, but are not limited to:

1. Grant and Donor Administration (50%) 

• Coordination of a portfolio of 5 and 6-figure donors or grantors, with oversight and support from the CEO, securing repeat donations and increasing support where possible
• Administration of existing grants, ensuring that terms are adhered to and reporting processes are managed effectively
• Administration of donor communications
• Support the development of proposals in line with the objectives and guidelines of the prospective grantor outlining why funding is needed, how the project will positively impact beneficiaries, and how the funds will be allocated and managed throughout the project
• Prospecting and researching all donor types (including major donors, corporates, and trusts and foundations) that have aligned priorities
• Lead the donor engagement calendar, including drafting communications and touch points to key donors throughout the year 

2. Granting (20%) 

• Supporting the drafting and processing of all contracts at the annual granting phase
• Coordinating communications to grantee organisations
• Administering the grantee reporting process
• Managing the collation of partner reports and support the drafting the Annual Impact report for the programme

3.Programmes (Illicit Trade, Education, and Responsible Business) (20%) 

• Undertake research across programme workstreams
• Support in the organisation and coordination of events both in the UK and internationally, this could include venue booking, guestlist coordination and liaising with vendors
• Monitor news reports related to forced labour in business supply chains and other programme areas 

4. General administration and management of the CRM (10%) 

• Coordinate meetings and managing the team and CEO calendar
• Report internally on portfolio of relationships and prospects from the CRM, keeping the CRM and internal information management systems updated with records, contact, confidence levels and forecasted donations.

More about the role:As Fundraising & Communications Manager you will plan and deliver two organisation-wide appeals each year, with a combined income target of £300,000. You will own and grow our monthly donor programme, developing email journeys, digital content and supporter pathways that build a sustainable income stream. Alongside this, you will lead the creation of high-quality fundraising communications - from donor updates and impact stories to campaign collateral and web content - ensuring all storytelling is ethical, warm and true to who we are. 

Location : Jamie's Farm Bath (HQ) preferred but other Jamie’s Farm locations considered

About you:We are looking for someone with proven experience delivering multi-channel fundraising appeals and growing an individual giving or monthly donor programme. You will be an exceptional copywriter, able to communicate impact with clarity and warmth, and someone who understands the importance of representing young people responsibly and with dignity. 

A confident project manager, you are highly organised and able to juggle multiple deadlines, coordinate stakeholders and keep campaigns on track. You are comfortable using data and insight to optimise performance, and you bring a proactive, solutions-focused mindset to everything you do.
