About the role: 

Reporting to the Fundraising and Partnerships Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting fundraising activity across the charity, helping to deliver events, campaigns and supporter communications while ensuring our supporters feel valued, informed and inspired.  

This is a part-time, remote role (20 hours per week), with occasional UK travel for meetings and events.

The Purpose of the role is to lead in the day to day operational management of Vincentian Care Plus (VCP) through effective leadership and delivery of high quality care within the framework of Care Quality Commission’s Fundamental Standards of Care.

The Registered Manager will be accountable and will be working closely with the Chief Executive Officer to encompass the management of all services within the organisation’s policies and procedures.

Manage the Safety and Quality of the Organisation

Provide a Good Service to the Client

• Promote the rights of each client and keep their wishes at the centre of their care and support.

Leadership

· To fulfil all duties as Registered Manager in accordance with Care Quality Commission requirements.

· Manage the finance of the Charity by fully understanding the current financial status and working within the budget constraints to ensure the budget is met at all times.

· Oversee all administrative systems to ensure factual, accurate information is held and that all computerised and manual records are up to date.

· To attend meetings and provide regular reports.

· To ensure that relevant legislation and registration requirements are complied with and to deal with any concerns.

· To initiate the implementation and on-going review of Policies and Procedures and Quality Standards of Care.

Staff Management

· To be responsible for and manage a team of office and care staff within a budgeted establishment ensuring appropriate skill mix to maintain the high care standards.

· Lead the staff team to provide a high standard of person centred care based on a Vincentian ethos and philosophy of care, which recognises and respects the dignity of each resident as a unique individual.

· Manage the effective recruitment, induction, training and performance of the office and field staff teams.

· Identify ongoing training needs and ensure staff are up to date with current best practice.

· To take part in training opportunities in the Vincentian tradition of working and to promote these values to all members of staff.

· To promote a teamwork approach through strong leadership in an open and friendly working environment.

Morden College are currently undertaking a significant transformation of their finance systems, data and reporting to support the delivery of their new organisational strategy. Following the recent successful implementation of Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, they are now completing the next phase of automation and system integration, while preparing for their first year-end and audit in the new system.

They are seeking an experienced, technical Interim Financial Accountant to support their Finance team during this critical period. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, this role will combine hands-on financial accounting, systems improvement and audit preparation work, playing a key role in ensuring robust financial controls and accurate reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

You’ll be working closely in tandem with an existing permanent Financial Accountant whose focus is continuing to build the ‘business as usual’ of the Finance department.

• Complete balance sheet and other financial reconciliations, recommending accounting adjustments for approval
• Review journals and reconciliations prepared by other team members, ensuring accuracy and correct double-entry accounting
• Identify and recommend improvements to financial processes within the new finance system

About the Role

You will co-ordinate and deliver a statutory independent visitor service to children and young people in care or care leavers of London.

You will recruit, assess and train volunteers to become independent visitors, who are volunteer befrienders to children and young people looked after or care leavers. You will manage a cash flow to fund suitable activities for independent visitors to enjoy with the young person. You will manage data and reporting for this statutory service so that service leads and other stakeholders can understand the activity in the service.

We are a child led service, you will not act outside of the young person’s instructions (except in matters of child protection and safety.)  You will build strong relationships with the child or young person, independent visitors and other significant adults, you will support Independent Visitors to develop long term, meaningful friendships with the young person.

You will work in partnership with other parts of the service, organisation and external agencies and professionals. This is to ensure there are pathways to attract and retain Independent Visitors in the area and sometimes out of area.

Gateway Mental Health is a 24 hour male only high and medium support accommodation service. Gateway is home for 28 customers from Lambeth and Southwark.

Support workers are vital members of the team as they provide support to customers helping them to develop the life-skills they require to move on to less supported accommodations or even independent living.
