Barnardo's is seeking an experienced and collaborative leader to join our Fundraising & Marketing Directorate as Interim Head of Individual Giving. This is a pivotal senior management role, responsible for leading a team delivering a supporter and data focused fundraising programme, inspiring the public to donate, do more and build loyalty through authentic and compelling communications aligned to Barnardo's strategy. It is a critical income stream—raising over £13 million annually.

About the Role 

As Head of Individual Giving, you will lead a high-performing team of fundraising specialists across regular giving, cash, raffle, lottery, and legacy marketing. With the support of the Greater London Authority (GLA), Smart Works is about to begin an innovative employment project to connect underrepresented women across London with high-quality job opportunities. Over the next 12 months, this project will place women directly into good work within priority sectors, whilst also helping employers build more inclusive recruitment pipelines and practices. 

The Employer Engagement Manager will be central to the success of this project. Reporting to the Head of Programmes, they will lead on employer engagement and job brokerage for Smart Works. They will act as a primary contact for the GLA, ensuring effective partnership working and the delivery of ambitious outcomes for both clients and employers.

With a new CEO and an ambitious and inspiring new strategy being developed, Smart Works are looking for a skilled and analytical Director of Finance to drive organisational financial strategy at a time of significant change and growth.

The Director of Finance will act as a trusted advisor to the CEO, and provide financial reporting for the board, working closely with the Treasurer. As part of the SLT, the post holder will be responsible for the financial management and strategic financial planning for our London centres and Group staff, as well as supporting our 12 centres nationally, operating within a federated structure. In addition, the post holder will provide wider leadership as part of a multi-disciplinary team to drive positive outcomes for our clients.
