About the Role

Sense is recruiting a Senior Community Fundraiser, this is a full time permanent position based in our offices in Kings Cross, London. This is a hybrid role, working in the office 2 days per week.

We’re looking for an experience fundraiser to join our Community Fundraising Team, responsible for generating income and engagement, working closely with services, volunteers and engagement staff. The successful candidate will support and deliver the community fundraising strategy, growing our portfolio and building new long-term relationships for Sense. You will be responsible for generating income for Sense, supporting the delivery of our Community Team income target of £569,000, enabling community fundraising to become a dependable source of income for the charity.

The main duties and responsibilities include:

• To ensure all community supporters are given the highest level of customer care and that all enquiries and requests for support are responded to quickly and effectively.
• To focus on growing income for Community Team across two key areas - groups and associations and schools and universities.
• The Senior Community Fundraiser will lead on the Community Team’s national projects and communicate updates and plans effectively with the team.
• To achieve agreed income targets, monitoring and forecasting on a regular basis and taking remedial action when necessary.
• Build effective and consistent working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and to engage and enthuse them about activities of the Community Fundraising team.
• To work closely with the wider Fundraising Directorate in order to break down silo working and ensure that all opportunities for fundraising are maximised and knowledge sharing takes place Directorate-wide.
• To work with colleagues in our Operations and Trading teams to develop their fundraising potential and supporting them with fundraising ideas and collateral.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

• Understanding of Community based fundraising trends.
• Evidence of own continuing professional development.
• 2-3 years’ experience in a community fundraising environment.
• Experience providing the highest level of stewardship to supporters / fundraisers or customers.
• Experience managing projects, with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and comfortable regularly speaking to both current supporters and potential supporters in person and by the phone.
• Experience of working with budgets and financial targets.
• Experience with proposal writing or grant writing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to keep clear and accurate records, producing reports and analysis and presenting them in an effective way to stakeholders and Head of Team.

Job Summary

Supporting the Direct Marketing Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering growth in voluntary income through our direct marketing acquisition programme utilising a range of campaigns and products, both online and offline. Products include one-off donations, regular giving (including value-exchange/ sponsorship products) and lottery. You’ll also be responsible for the development, implementation, day to day management, evaluation, and delivery of our acquisition portfolio. 

About You

• You will have experience of running effective national campaigns using a variety of fundraising channels
• Demonstrable, relevant experience including digital, email, social media, direct mail, and telemarketing
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to effectively manage conflicting priorities

About the Role

• Manage the delivery of acquisition campaigns from concept through to evaluation, using data and insight to drive creative and production, drawing up schedules, and managing the approval processes.
• Work alongside the Content team to research and develop acquisition products, journeys and communications, gathering information, case studies and photos for use in all direct marketing campaigns.

Fundraising lead (fixed term 12-month contract, 0.4 FTE i.e. 14 hours a week)

JustMoney Movement is seeking a part-time Fundraising lead to help us grow a more sustainable funding base. The role will work with senior staff to develop our strategic case for support to target small organisational/ institutional donors (£1-5k grants/ donations).

We are a Christian charity using education and advocacy to work towards our vision of a fairer, greener future, through the transformation of our financial system and wider economy. We want to grow and diversify our funding base, reducing our dependence on a small number of grants, and building a movement of allies who feel part of the community and are willing to financially support it.

The Fundraising lead will work with senior staff to develop a case for support for our overall strategy and use this to target small organisational/ institutional donors including small trusts; corporates and organisations; and churches. 

Role description

· Grade 3.1 expected FTE salary £35,700 pro-rated to 0.4 FTE/ 14 hours a week = £14,280 (subject to annual inflationary pay review).

· Fixed term 12-month contract. This post has funding for 1 year.  If successful, there could be scope to extend the role for longer.

· Remote based: this role will be based from home, with occasional travel to meetings in London or elsewhere in the UK, for which expenses will be payable. This role is equivalent to 2 days a week but hours can be worked flexibly through the week.

About the role:

In this role, you will be part of a research centre, working with budget holders and research leads to provide an effective and efficient financial service. The ideal candidate will be able to present financial information clearly, work with accuracy and consistency, balance multiple deadlines, and have a proactive, self-motivating, and collaborative approach. The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Programmes to provide strategic management of our programme portfolio during an exciting phase of our organisation's evolution. What We're Looking For

We seek a candidate with experience in international development programming, ideally with knowledge of environmental management and circular economy approaches. You should have proven ability to design and manage complex programmes, work with funders, and lead remote teams.

The country’s leading transport charity, Campaign for Better Transport has worked for more than 50 years to improve transport, tackle climate change and create a more inclusive society. We are looking to appoint a highly motivated and experienced Supporter Engagement Manager to join our dedicated income generation team on a 12-month, fixed-term contract.

The Supporter Engagement Manager will lead the acquisition, retention and development of individual donors through our multi-channel campaigns, ensuring growth in our donor base and engagement with our supporters. You will use data insights to optimise fundraising strategies and enhance the supporter experience.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years’ experience in direct marketing and individual giving, with strong copywriting, budgeting and project management skills, and proficiency in CRM systems and data analytics. They will have a good working knowledge of GDPR and IoF Codes of Practice.

Key responsibilities include:

• Planning, managing and executing the delivery of the Supporter Engagement Programme, including supporter acquisition, retention and uplift through all on- and offline direct marketing channels
• Leading fundraising initiatives such as seasonal appeals, matched funding and legacy giving
• Maintaining all supporter records on the database

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to play a vital role at Cure Parkinson’s, as our Research Grants Officer. This role will be responsible for supporting research scientists who are applying for grants or are carrying out funded research for us. This work is critical for us to achieve the charity’s main objective of funding Parkinson’s research to slow, stop and reverse Parkinson’s.

Job Summary
Under its current 5-year strategy (2021 – 2025), ‘Choosing Peace in times of fear & division’, Place for Hope has successfully grown and diversified its partnerships, funding and volunteer team. This has enabled us to grow our reach and impact in equipping people and faith communities to be peacemakers working towards a more peaceful and reconciled world. 

The new Director of Place for Hope will continue to develop Place for Hope as they work with Trustees, Staff and Volunteers to shape and finalise the next 5-year strategy that ensures Place for Hope is fit for purpose in a changing UK landscape for charities and faith communities. They will provide leadership and to be responsible for the overall management and administration of the charity within the strategic and accountability frameworks agreed by the Board of Trustees. 

Previous experience essential to the role includes: values-based leadership; peace, conflict transformation and/or mediation; collaborating and communicating effectively with different Christian denominations and other faiths, excellent organisational and communication skills, and experience in income generation (including through building diverse partnerships).The ideal candidate would also have an interest in supporting faith communities to transform conflict, navigate change well and be able to support an internal CPD programme and culture of reflective practice.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process monthly payroll using Sage Payroll for all care homes and schemes.
• Ensure all statutory and voluntary deductions are correctly applied.
• Handle queries from staff and managers regarding pay and benefits.
• Support recruitment processes and general HR administration.
• Ensure compliance with HMRC, pension providers, and payroll-related legislation.
