The Housing Management Officer plays a pivotal role in delivering high‑quality, end‑to‑end tenancy and property management across a diverse portfolio of 50–100 supported accommodation units. Working at the intersection of housing law, welfare systems, and resident wellbeing, the postholder ensures smooth tenancy sustainment, legal compliance, and strong financial performance. This includes leading on onboarding and exit processes, embedding a Psychologically Informed Environment (PIPE) approach, maintaining GDPR‑compliant records, and monitoring tenancy issues through internal reporting tools. The role also requires close collaboration with Registered Providers, Local Authorities, the DWP, and Housing Benefit teams to ensure seamless service delivery and regulatory compliance.

A key focus of the role is proactive income management, from rent and service charge collection to arrears prevention and recovery. The officer provides expert guidance on housing benefit, managing claims, appeals, and overpayments while overseeing invoicing and financial reconciliation with external agencies. Alongside this, they coordinate timely repairs and maintenance, ensuring issues are escalated and resolved efficiently while keeping residents and support teams fully informed. This is a dynamic, hands‑on position for someone who thrives on responsibility, partnership working, and making a meaningful impact on tenancy stability and resident experience.

The role is hybrid with travel required 3 days a week across Ealing and Harrow and two days working remotely. Occasional travel to our Head Office in Aldgate will also be required.

The Service User Network (SUN) is an innovative, community-based service providing open-access, facilitated peer support groups for people experiencing emotional difficulties, isolation, and unhelpful behavioural patterns. Based on therapeutic community principles, SUN actively involves members in running, developing, and evaluating the service.

Beyond support groups, SUN offers social events, focus groups, community meetings, and a regular newsletter, fostering a safe, empowering, and inclusive environment for members.

SUN has been recognised for its commitment to lived experience and staff wellbeing, holding the Gold Lived Experience Charter award and the Enabling Environments award from the Royal College of Psychiatrists. The service combines online and face-to-face provision, ensuring accessibility across Surrey and North East Hampshire.

The Role

The SUN facilitator with lived experience will be working closely with a SUN specialist clinician to deliver regular Service User Network (SUN) support groups in different community-based locations across Surrey and North East Hampshire.

SUN provides community-based, open access facilitated peer support groups and aims to help people develop effective ways of coping and improve their relationship with themselves and others.

As a SUN Facilitator, you will:

• C-deliver regular SUN support groups in the community, both face to face and online
• Work in collaboration with the co-facilitator and the SUN members, within support groups
• Use own lived experience of mental health problems associated with a diagnosis of personality disorder to support the development and knowledge of the service and wider services.
• Contribute to ensuring that any potential risk is being constantly assessed within a culture of positive risk taking and shared responsibility.
• Contribute to team supervision and business meetings and consider information regarding the safety and wellbeing of the people who access the service.
• Co-lead on different areas of the service on a rota basis, i.e., reporting, outreach, and member involvement.
• Actively engage in 1:1 check-ins and managerial supervisions.

SUN facilitators receive regular supervision and ongoing support to sustain this emotionally rewarding role.

About You

We are looking for someone with:

• Personal lived experience of mental health issues associated with personality disorder
• Previous experience of working within a professional environment
• Ability to reflect on and appropriately share your own life experiences and personal experiences of mental ill health as part of the facilitating role of the groups

About the Project

Our A and E Link Workers help adults access alternative mental health crisis support, including our Nightlight Crisis Service. We focus on providing a calmer, quieter environment away from the hospital when it’s needed.

Service Objectives

The objectives of Hertfordshire Mind Network’s (HMN) A&E Liaison Service are to:

• Improve the mental wellbeing of people experiencing mental health crisis in Hertfordshire.
• Increase timely access to help for people experiencing mental health crisis in Hertfordshire, by providing a clear and effective pathway to services provided by HMN and other third sector and statutory providers.
• Contribute to an improvement in individual mental wellbeing.
• Remain a source of independent support for all clients.
• Provide an alternative pathway to people in distress and crisis to support better outcomes and reduce the demand on statutory crisis services, emergency services and A&E departments.

About the Role:

The Mental Health A&E Link worker will work closely with individuals in a mental health crisis currently in A&E, by using a person-centred approach to ensure that everyone is supported with dignity and respect.

They will encourage and facilitate positive steps towards management of crisis and recovery; through providing emotional support, signposting and completing onward referrals into mental health support. They will work closely with A&E clinical staff, integrated discharge teams, Bounce Back, and mental health liaison teams, to proactively identify referrals into the crisis alternatives service to facilitate timely discharges from A&E.

Job Purpose:

The Strategic Communications Planning Lead is accountable for ensuring that all communications activity across the organisation are strategically prioritised, coherently planned and effectively integrated to advance MSF UK’s strategic objectives, reputation, fundraising performance and advocacy impact.

Working in close partnership with senior leaders and heads of teams across departments, the postholder leads the organisation’s communications forward-planning process and comms calendar; establishes high-quality strategic briefing standards; and oversees the coordination of complex, multi-channel campaigns.
