As Fundraising Lead (Corporates & Individuals) you will play a vital role in securing support from corporates, local businesses and individuals to help our charity to continue to thrive for a further 135 years!
The role can be worked flexibly over 22.5 hours per week with opportunities to work from home as well as our friendly offices in Shoreditch, London. 25 days holiday and bank holidays (pro rata) plus a pension scheme.

Summary of the role:
The Community Fundraising Volunteers Coordinator is to drive and enhance fundraising efforts for Muslim Aid by planning, coordinating, and executing innovative fundraising events and campaigns across regional and national levels. This position involves deep engagement with the Muslim community and various stakeholders to maximise fundraising opportunities and achieve financial targets.
The post holder will ensure that all activities adhere to regulatory standards and organisational promises, effectively represent the organisation in public forums and live appeals, and manage productive relationships with external partners to optimise outcomes. Additionally, the post holder supports strategic campaign planning and evaluation, ensuring continuous improvement and compliance with legal frameworks. About you :
To be successful in this role:

- Experience of creating and successfully implementing a fundraising strategy.

We work on open standards for networking, support experiments in open digital infrastructures and run projects that develop key parts of a future ‘Internet of Production’ – such as the ‘makerspaces’ in Africa.
Role & Responsibilities:
Supported by the CEO and the previous project manager (now full-time on a parallel project) and working with a small team of project staff, the Project Manager will:
- Manage the project, informed by the project design and existing workplans and budgets;
- Mobilise existing relationships with makerspaces in Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa;
- Oversee makerspace’s bidding application processes for training and financial support;
- Manage donor processes including milestone reports and sharing deliverables;

Back Up’s Regional Outreach and Engagement team are the very face of the organisation and are based across the UK, working directly with spinal cord injury centres, hospitals – or indeed anywhere that people affected by spinal cord injury may be.

HOPE not hate is the UK’s leading anti-fascist organisation. Our mission is simple: To monitor and challenge the far right, to engage in the communities that are susceptible to them and to address the issues and policies which give rise to them.
Over the last five years, we have grown steadily, with our research and intelligence work exposing and undermining the far right, even foiling a murder plot, our community engagement providing expertise to vulnerable communities and our work in schools growing to teach young people to recognise and challenge prejudice and hate.
About the role
The Community Outreach Officer will deliver on helping the communities susceptible to the far right. As part of the policy team, they will have access to research and policy insights on the issues which are causing tension and divisions in communities and where these tensions are most acute, and use this to devise locally-led solutions in partnership with key figures in the community and relevant sectors.
They will have experience in community organising, whether through employment or voluntary work, and use this experience to develop an organisational strategy for addressing far-right organising and hate-based community tensions. Part of the strategy will include a plan to extend and deepen HOPE not hate’s existing relationships in key areas across the UK. It will also involve designing and publicising resources, developing and delivering training and writing regular briefings.
Willingness to work with a variety of stakeholders is important. The role will include liaising with local authorities, national and local organisations and grassroots community activists to build and facilitate the design of locally-led community resilience strategies. There will also be access to our existing networks and relationships across relevant sectors e.g. migration and refugee sector, community cohesion and local authorities. An understanding that communities and community groups are the experts on their own needs is crucial – solutions should be developed with, not for, those most impacted.

Provision of Administrative Services for Grant Giving Trust
Two interesting and innovative family trusts, one charitable, the other a radical grantmaker unrestricted by charitable status, seek administrative support to field applications, prepare papers for three trustees' meetings a year, minute these meetings and handle follow-up.
The post is self-employed paying up to £30 per hour, averaging 28 hours per month (so earning in the region of £850 pm), but is concentrated around the meetings.
Helpful to be based conveniently for meetings in London, but not essential as Zoom can be used. As this is a self-employed post it will be within your own choosing how, when and where you undertake the required work.

Back Up’s mentoring service is there to help. We know that peer support can have a life changing impact and our Mentoring Coordinators are the ones who can facilitate this through matching them with a suitable mentor who will be able to support them over a series of phone calls to reach their goals.
In addition to creating mentoring relationships, as a Mentoring Coordinator you will support mentors and mentees as appropriate, assess mentee suitability and provide support in the process of identifying, recruiting and training new mentors.

We are seeking a self-motivated, flexible and experienced individual to join our dynamic team to help us deliver excellent services to vulnerable women who have experienced domestic abuse and be committed to working in a non-discriminatory manner.
About the role: We are recruiting an Advocate Educator to work closely with GP practices in Bromley borough. You will promote the IRIS programme and offer training to GP practice staff, as well as providing one to one emotional and practical support to a caseload of clients experiencing domestic abuse. IRISi is an evidence-based domestic abuse training and referral programme developed specifically for general practice, currently being delivered across 30+ areas of England and Wales. The successful applicant will have:

Experience of working with victims and survivors of domestic abuse and an understanding of the barriers to accessing support services

Experience of promoting services and building strong working relationships with external organisations

Experience of delivering training to a range of professionals

A full driving licence and access to a vehicle in order to travel to GP practices across Bromley

All of our courses aim to increase confidence and independence in a supportive environment. They’re also led by people who have a spinal cord injury themselves – allowing participants to learn from others who have who have been there and can understand the issues and challenges. Day-to-day, you’ll be working with volunteers, partners and participants to make sure our courses are a success. You’ll be responsible for the administration and logistics to make sure that courses are filled, delivered smoothly and efficiently to make sure our courses are a success and deliver the best possible experience to everyone involved.
You’ll be a confident communicator with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. You’ll enjoy planning and seeing projects through to delivery, be that independently or as part of a wider team.

When a person or their family member sustains a spinal cord injury it is a life changing experience. They can feel very isolated and that no one understands what they’re going through.
Back Up’s mentoring service is there to help. We know that peer support can have a life changing impact and our Mentoring Coordinators are the ones who can facilitate this through matching them with a suitable mentor who will be able to support them over a series of phone calls to reach their goals.
In addition to creating mentoring relationships, as a Mentoring Coordinator you will support mentors and mentees as appropriate, assess mentee suitability and provide support in the process of identifying, recruiting and training new mentors.
Mentoring Coordinators will be motivated to achieve the aims, targets and milestones that have been set in terms of making quality matches and will be comfortable and efficient with data management and GDPR compliance.

Homeless Link is the national membership charity for frontline homeless agencies and the wider housing with health, care and support sector in England. With more than 800 members, we work to improve services and campaign for policy change that will help end homelessness and ensure that everyone has a place to call home and the support they need to keep it.
We are seeking a Research Officer to help deliver a core research project exploring the interaction between homelessness and health. The post holder will work closely with academic partners to deliver the research contributing to an important evidence base that supports our goal of ending homelessness. They will also support the Homeless Link research team in delivering our wider research programme.
The successful candidate will have:
- a good foundation in qualitative and quantitative research.
