About the Giving Directorate and Net Zero Carbon Programme

The Giving Directorate has four teams: Innovation & Insight (leading on innovations, the parish share project, data analysis and marketing); Parish Giving Scheme (giving mechanisms and technology); NZC Fundraising (including policy, philanthropy and gifts in wills) and Learning & Development (delivering training, mentoring, and equipping clergy and diocesan giving advisors, national and regional conferences, and developing online learning resources for parishes).
You will sit within the Net Zero Carbon Fundraising team which leads the strategy to coordinate and support the plans being developed by our dioceses, churches, cathedrals, schools, and departments to secure the significant additional funding needed to decarbonise the Church of England.

What you'll be doing
Legacies have historically played a transformative role for the Church of England - sustaining parish ministry, helping deliver the 30,000+ community projects run by parishes every year, conserving historic buildings and enabling important work for the future, including Net Zero Carbon projects. There is significant untapped potential for legacy giving to make an even bigger difference to our work, but awareness is uneven, and local church leaders often lack the training and resources to talk confidently about gifts in wills.

As the Gifts in Wills Manager, you will lead an ambitious new legacy programme to significantly expand the support and resources available for all parts of the Church of England to effectively encourage legacy giving. This will include creating new legacy giving resources that can be used by parishes, cathedrals and Dioceses as well as new training for local parish volunteers, clergy and senior leaders.

Gifts in wills have the potential for significantly enhancing the work of the church in caring for God's creation, being the culmination of a person's lifetime of commitment and care for the church and God's creation. The role will include specifically looking to develop NZC cases for support as a way to encourage gifts in wills, through linking the ongoing and perpetual care of God's creation with the long term impact of gifts in wills.
Through your work you will create a culture shift where legacy giving is demystified to become a natural part of Christian discipleship. The increased number and generosity of legacy gifts pledged and received will make a long-lasting impact on the financial ability of parishes, cathedrals, and dioceses to fund their ministry and social impact in the communities they serve.

This is a fixed-term contract role for three years, and interviews will take place week commencing 27 April.

Headway UK developed the Approved Provider Scheme in 2011, which is a voluntary standards-based accreditation, for rehabilitation and residential units for people with a brain injury and we are looking for a new part time team member.

• Location: East or Midlands based, either home based or in Headway UK’s office in Nottingham.
• Salary: £35,000 FTE (pro rata for 21 hours per week) (days are flexible, but the working pattern would ideally include either Tuesday or Friday for service coverage).
• Term: This contract is fixed term from June 2026 until June 2027 as it is maternity cover.

Headway UK developed the Approved Provider Scheme in 2011, which is a voluntary standards-based accreditation, for rehabilitation and residential units for people with a brain injury and we are looking for a new part time team member.

By participating in the scheme Approved Provider units affirm their dedication to excellent care, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement. The accreditation of units is then published for families, individuals and professionals to help inform their choices when identifying suitable provision for brain injury survivors. Our accreditation process is designed to be collaborative and supportive, guiding units through every step towards achieving and maintaining exemplary service standards.

The role will involve, conducting and writing assessments and working with the Approved Provider and Training Manager to manage Lead Assessors, who are based around the UK and the Service User Perspective Assessors, who are either brain injury survivors, or family members/ carers.

What you will do:

• Conduct Approved Provider assessments, which includes going into brain injury residential units and assessing the services they provide and making recommendations, to improve practice against the framework.
• Writing and reviewing reports for Approved Provider units, following assessments, that clearly highlight strengths and areas for development.
• Contributing to the development and growth of Headway UK’s Approved Provider scheme, by continuing to drive forward standards and onboarding new units.
• Working with freelance Lead Assessors and Service User Perspective Assessors (who are brain injury survivors or family members) who are based around the UK, to organise assessments and ensure the schemes standards are upheld.

About you

• Relevant professional qualification (e.g. occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, clinical psychology, physiotherapy, nursing, social work).

• Very good IT skills, including be proficient in the Microsoft Office suite (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams).

• Be an excellent communicator, with new and existing Approved Provider units.

About the role

Reporting in to the Global Programme & Partnership Lead, the Programme Impact & Portfolio Management Advisor plays a pivotal role in supporting the effective implementation of Christian Aid’s unrestricted funded projects and programmes, valued at over £10 million, including signature programmes and other incubative funding mechanisms under Christian Aid’s unrestricted portfolio.

The post-holder will provide comprehensive support across all stages of our ‘signature’ programmes and programmes under unrestricted portfolio, brining deep global and regional experience to lift programme portfolio management across the organization. The role supports the global programme and partnership lead in managing the full programme cycle from design to closure, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards and policies, ensuring consistency and coherence.

The role also involves supporting capacity building for our Multi Country Cluster (MCC) and global staff, contributing to programme information management systems, and engaging in cross-organisational initiatives to enhance programme quality and excellence. Role Purpose

As Head of Creative & Content, you will shape and champion the creative vision of Child Bereavement UK. You’ll lead the development of a bold, purposeful content and creative strategy that brings our mission to life, ensuring every story, campaign and asset is high-quality, evidence-based, accessible and emotionally resonant across all channels.

You’ll set the creative direction and ensure everything we produce is consistently compelling, inclusive and impactful, delivering outstanding user experiences that truly connect with our audiences.

This role leads the full content lifecycle, from strategic planning and innovative production to governance and evaluation. You’ll drive creativity that supports income generation, strengthens service delivery and grows brand awareness, making sure our content doesn’t just inform, but inspires action and change.

Main Responsibilities

1. Leadership, Team Management & Administration

• Work alongside the Director of Marketing & Communications to lead the Marketing & Communications team, ensuring there is a clear direction of travel, an understanding of purpose and exemplary culture embedded to drive future success.

• Lead ongoing insight and research activities to assess content effectiveness and identify gaps or opportunities.

• Partner with bereavement services, income generation and participation teams to identify and maximise high-value content opportunities.
• Collaborate with brand and marketing colleagues to deliver projects aligned to the marketing strategy and comms plans.

About the Role

As Media and Public Affairs Manager, you will bring to life the work of Crisis’ day to day services and our national influencing agenda. Using print, digital and broadcast journalism you will advocate for the solutions needed to end homelessness and inspire and active politicians to join our campaign and take meaningful action to end homelessness in Scotland by 2040. You will oversee the development and delivery of high-profile media, communications and political influencing campaign strategies, and help to build our brand reach, engaging a wide range of new audiences across Scotland.

The Adult Bereavement Counsellor provides therapeutic support to adults- particularly parents and carers- who are experiencing acute or complex grief following the death of a child.

The post holder will provide comprehensive psychosocial assessments and deliver therapeutic interventions working therapeutically using a range of counselling methods, approaches, and techniques, consistent with Level 3 of the NICE psychological intervention framework (2004).

Essential skills and experience

• Minimum five years’ professional experience in an accounting or finance role, supported by a relevant accounting qualification or significant demonstrable experience. Prior experience within the charity or not-for-profit sector is highly desirable. Experience or comfort managing cross-border EU-UK financial complexities is a plus.

• Experience of preparing management accounts, budgets, forecasts and year-end reporting

• An understanding of charity finance requirements (e.g. charity accounting, Charity Commission obligations)

• Proficiency in accounting software (Sage or similar) and MS Office (especially Excel) 

• Experience of basic HR processes (e.g. recruitment, contracts, record-keeping, employee/er taxes and pension obligations)

• Understanding of payroll administration 

• Ability to interpret and explain financial information to non-finance colleagues and Board directors

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

• High level of accuracy, attention to detail and integrity

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach

The PKD Charity is looking for an exceptional communicator and relationship-builder to lead patient involvement in groundbreaking PKD research.

This is not a standard engagement role.

You will help ensure that the voices, experiences and priorities of people living with polycystic kidney disease directly influence research, clinical studies and future healthcare decisions across the UK.

PKD affects around 70,000 people in the UK. It causes kidney failure, lifelong health complications and reduced life expectancy. There is currently no cure.

As our Patient & Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) Manager, you’ll lead and shape involvement activity through the PKD Research Hub, working alongside patients, researchers, clinicians and partners to make research more inclusive, meaningful and impactful.

The Role

You’ll work closely with foster carers and social work colleagues to deliver high-quality, trauma-informed support and improve outcomes for children and young people. 

The Senior Admin Officer will be responsible for general administrative functions within the London & South East region and will report to the Administrative Manager.  In some instances, the Senior Admin Officer may be required to deputise for the Admin Manager in the post holder’s absence in relation to day to day matters.

The Senior Admin Officer will specialise in a particular area (s), such as Panels, statutory paperwork, minute-taking, training, and maintaining the in-house database (Charms). As a charity we are commited to ensuring that our resources are directed toward supporting our children.  For this reason, we can only consider applicants who live within the required geographical areas listed above, as supporting roles outside these areas would incur additional costs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing an administration service to the London & South-East region to help meet the service objectives of increased foster carer recruitment
• Organise and prepare all panel papers for approvals and reviews.
• Minute panels and prepare ADM paperwork
• Timely and accurate record keeping on Charms (in house system).
• Responding to telephone calls and allocating these to staff as appropriate. When necessary, take messages for staff members and ensure that these are passed on.
• Communicating professionally with a wide range of stakeholders, including colleagues, carers, and third-party agencies to establish professional working relationships which focus on the best outcomes for the children and young people in our care.
• Working flexibly within the team and autonomously as needed to manage your time and duties.

What You’ll Need

• GCSE in English & Maths or equivalent
• Experience of working in a busy administrative setting in a social care-related field.
• Ability to obtain, extract and analyse information from various systems.
• Confidence in using all Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook & OneDrive.
• Experience of using a software system to record, retrieve and maintain records
• Excellent communication skills to suit a broad range of professional relationships
• The ability to work to deadlines, with accuracy and flexibility, sometimes dealing with conflicting priorities
• Familiarity with handling confidential and sensitive information in line with relevant regulations and legislative requirements

Barnardos Child and Family Support Service Dundee is seeking a passionate and motivated applicant for a full time Project Worker 1 position in our team.

We are looking for a person who has a genuine interest in working with children and families providing support in a variety of settings including the family homes, schools and community locations and provide support either individually or with groups of children, young people and parents/carers. 

The service support includes working with children who have a disability/ additional support need and their families.  Applicants will have an awareness of issues impacting on children and their families including trauma, mental health, care experienced, domestic abuse and substance use.

The role includes:

*Community capacity building – supporting individual/groups by facilitating learning and development opportunities.

*Partnership working with community groups, building capacity for inclusion for children/families, building relationship and working through barriers.

*Responsibility for introductions between children/families and volunteers.

*Caseholding responsibility – ensuring aim of work/outcomes/compliance recording/risk assessments/volunteer log sheets.
