Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Head of Philanthropy to develop and deliver a 3-year philanthropy strategy focused on continued income growth

Person Specification

• Experience in a philanthropy role with a relationship-first approach to major donors and/or trusts/foundations at the 6-figure+ level
• Demonstrable experience of successfully managing the full donor cycle, from prospect research and pipeline development, to cultivation, solicitation and long-term stewardship
• A natural relationship-builder, with excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
• Creativity, curiosity and commercial awareness, with a genuine passion for delivering outstanding donor experiences

In addition to the around 40 young people we see every day out our centre, New Horizon provides the only youth-specific street outreach service to young people facing homelessness in London. We use our extensive housing expertise to place young people who are currently or at risk of rough sleeping into accommodation that is appropriate and safe, whilst encouraging them to access the day centre to benefit from the wide range of services we offer. This role will involve regular street outreach shifts (early mornings and late evenings) across London, aswell as supporting young people at the day centre. Key objectives:

• To contribute to the delivery of the NHYC street outreach service, delivering a holistic service to young people who are street homeless, enabling them to move on to independence.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Young people services

Providing comprehensive support through 1-1 and small group work with young people sleeping rough. This will include:

1. Working within the Rough Sleeping team to ensure young people receive a high-quality service from the point of registration to move-on.

2. Carrying out at least two street-based outreach shifts each week (early morning and late evening required).

3. Carrying out housing assessments with young people and referring them into appropriate accommodation.

4. Managing a transitional case load of young people and helping them move forward and access appropriate services.

5. Working in partnership with the Outreach Team and other external teams, such as commissioned street outreach services, mental health, and substance misuse services.

6. Providing expert coaching and guidance to young people and monitoring and evaluating their progress.

7. Continued use of feedback and showing a commitment to a service that is sensitive and responsive to young people’s needs, including:

   · Completing registrations, outcomes assessments, risk assessments and action plans with young people.

   · Ensuring that all relevant work is recorded on the New Horizon database system and Chain database.

   · Ensuring risk management and assessment procedures are followed.

   Delivering advocacy and referrals to appropriate services, including making internal referrals

8. Contributing to the management and development of the team and day centre, including attending daily handovers, ensuring that Health and Safety issues are addressed at all times, attending Reflective Practice and team meetings.

9. Taking a hands-on approach to working with young people

10. Participating in the training and supervision of new staff, volunteers, students and locum workers and actively promoting a learning and development environment.

Networking and Liasion

To proactively liaise, communicate and negotiate with internal specialists and external agencies. This will include:

1. Seeking out and responding to opportunities with external partners who might offer resources, funding, or individual services relevant to young people’s needs e.g, Local Authorities, Social Services, Community Psychiatric Services, DWP, drugs and alcohol support, and other voluntary agencies.

2. Promoting and representing New Horizon Youth Centre at relevant forums and meetings.

Information management

To produce and maintain accurate and useful information in a range of formats in order to promote effective service delivery and evaluation. This will include:

1. Producing written reports in a variety of formats to meet the requirements of New Horizon, external service providers and funders, e.g., project reviews and assessment reports.

2. Inputting and extracting information from client monitoring systems other accounting and database systems. Utilising other relevant software for the production of correspondence and reports.

3. Being self-servicing in day-to-day administration and following team and NHYC’s administrative procedures.

Reviewing personal and professional development needs

To be proactive in reviewing and evaluating own performance and identifying and acting upon areas for improvement. This will include:

1. Continuously reviewing own working practices in line with feedback and current best practice.

2. Taking a proactive approach to supervision and attending clinical supervision, weekly team meetings as well as line management supervision every 4-6 weeks.

3. Reviewing and evaluating own performance to identify strengths and areas for development.

4. Undertaking development and training opportunities and being responsible for obtaining maximum benefit through review, reflection, and practice.

Other

To contribute positively and constructively to the development of the teams, service and NHYC. This will include:

1. Covering for other members of the team where necessary.

Cross team collaboration

· Engage with project teams, audience leads and channel owners to deliver journeys and the content needed within them, as well as actions that engage campaigners through time, money, voice aligning content, messaging and audience touchpoints. 

Insight and evaluation

· Using internal and external data systems, collate and deliver monthly reports on audience engagement activity highlighting trends that provide insights to support the development of an impactful, insight led mobilisation strategy and campaigner audience stewardship.

Line management

· Provide direction and support to the campaign engagement volunteer through weekly email briefs and quarterly volunteer check-ins.

About Us

Finchley Progressive Synagogue (FPS) is a community-based charity with income of c. £400k–£500k per year. We are supported by a small staff team and a large volunteer base.

We are seeking an experienced finance professional to undertake a short-term review of our finance processes and controls and to implement improvements where appropriate. The successful candidate will work closely with our administrator, providing support to the Treasurer in ensuring that our financial arrangements are robust, proportionate, well documented and aligned with the needs of the charity.

The Role

This is a short-term project role (approx. 2–3 months) with potential for a small ongoing involvement to maintain and run the processes put in place.

The focus is on practical implementation and knowledge transfer, ensuring that improvements are embedded and sustainable

Key Responsibilities

• Review, enhance and document key financial processes and controls, including:
  • Reconciliation procedures for key balance sheet accounts
  • Month-end and period-end processes
  • Journal and accounting procedures, including income recognition and accruals
  • Restricted fund monitoring and reporting
• Review balance sheet accounts and support the ongoing refinement and documentation of accounting treatments where appropriate

This is a senior, hands-on role combining charity finance with fundraising and income development. You will lead the finance function, strengthen controls and provide clear information to the CEO, trustees and senior managers.

Edward Alsop Court provides support and accommodation for up to 79 men over 35 with mental health conditions complex needs. These needs may be around physical and mental health, alcohol and drug use, housing, benefits and finances, life skills development, and much more.

The working pattern for this role consist of: Monday to Friday 9am-5pm, one Sunday per month (Friday off on this week), and occasional 12pm-8pm shifts.

What you'll do:
* Building supportive, trusting relationships with customers and external partners, creating a positive atmosphere
* Carrying out holistic assessments of new customers which incorporate relevant statutory referral information
* Conducting regular key work sessions that are innovative and engaging in order to achieve Support plan goals
* Create support plans for providing appropriate services based on on-going assessment and reflecting the services and resources available to enable customer to progress in their recovery
* Ensuring ongoing assessment and management of risks associated with customers within an attitude of 'positive risk taking'
* Provide support and access to relevant services to enable customers to continue their recovery and empower customers to self-manage their medication regimes through individual re-enablement programmes and informed decision making

We are seeking a Celebrity Ambassador Manager (0.5 FTE) to join our Fundraising Communications and Engagement team in the Development and Communication directorate. They will be responsible for recruiting and stewarding celebrities and influencers as ambassadors for the ICR to support our fundraising, communications and advocacy work.

The successful candidate will play a key role in our fundraising, communications and advocacy work. The postholder will develop the ICR’s ambassador strategy. The Celebrity Ambassador Manager will work across our fundraising teams, in conjunction with communications colleagues, to support philanthropic, corporate and mass fundraising. They will work to build high-profile support for the ICR.

They will liaise directly with celebrities and influencers, and their teams, to negotiate appropriate terms for their involvement and the degree of their support.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop the ICR’s ambassador strategy
• Identify and recruit potential high-profile ambassadors to support the ICR’s mission
• Steward and nurture ambassadors to ensure they retain support for the ICR over an extended period of time 
• Develop appropriate and secure processes for storing ambassador information, and ensure correct systems and controls are in place for the access and use of this information
• Be the lead advisor on all work with high-profile individuals and act as a gatekeeper to ensure appropriate processes are followed.

Join the Renewal Programme as our Community Hub Connector and help create a welcoming, inclusive space where local people can connect, access support and thrive. You'll build trusted relationships with residents, community organisations and faith groups, helping people overcome barriers and become active participants in their community.

You will have a strong understanding of the challenges affecting refugees, asylum seekers and people experiencing homelessness, together with the ability to coordinate day-to-day activities, work collaboratively with volunteers and partners, and contribute positively to the charity's ongoing development.

One morning you might be meeting with a local mosque to develop a new partnership. That afternoon you could be welcoming someone who has recently arrived in the UK, introducing them to activities at the Hub and connecting them with the support they need. No two days are the same—but every day is about helping people feel they belong.

Based at our RenewALL Hub in East Ham, you'll coordinate activities, lead community outreach, support volunteers and work alongside statutory, voluntary and community organisations to create opportunities that improve people's wellbeing and strengthen local communities.

This is a varied and rewarding role for someone who enjoys working directly with people, building partnerships and making a tangible difference. You'll support residents facing a range of challenges, including migration, loneliness, disability, digital exclusion and social isolation, ensuring everyone can access opportunities and services in a way that works for them.
