About the Role

We are seeking a Reception Supervisor, responsible for the efficient running of the Library’s Reception ensuring an excellent customer service experience is provided to members of, and visitors to, the Library throughout our opening hours.

In this pivotal role, you will:

· Manage our small team of Membership Assistants who cover the main entrance reception desk

· Answer questions about membership and services in person, by phone and email, giving tours to prospective members and assisting with membership processing and administration.

· Liaise closely with the Membership and Marketing departments, ensuring that Reception staff are aware of current member offers and other activities relevant to the recruitment and retention of members.

About you

· Good general education to at least A-Level standard or qualified by experience, with a good level of literacy and numeracy (GCSE English and Maths at grades A-C or equivalent)

· Proven experience of supervising staff that provide excellent customer service in a customer-service environment, preferably in the charity, cultural or Not For Profit sector.

· Exceptional inter-personal and communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and courteously, face to face, by telephone or email.

· Successful performance management experience, ensuring that you can lead and contribute effectively to the team and be able to organise your own and others work and time effectively.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and qualified immigration advisor to lead on key elements of our Change of Conditions casework service as maternity cover for the coming year including our ‘self-submissions’ support programme and second-tier CoC advice.

The Unity Project (TUP) supports people who are facing poverty and homelessness because their immigration status allows them ‘no recourse to public funds’ (NRPF).  We believe NRPF should not exist and we are working to end it. Until then, we seek to minimise its impact by supporting people to make the ‘change of conditions’ (CoC) application to access public funds. As part of this work, we continually develop new casework approaches to make CoCs more accessible to more people. By taking a strategic approach to our casework, we have opened up new routes for people to move through the process, and achieved greater recognition of groups with particular needs. We have also supported numerous strategic legal challenges which have prompted significant changes to the immigration rules and guidance related to CoCs. 

In this cover position, you will play a key role in our strategic casework. You will be responsible for TUP’s ‘self-submissions’ casework provision for applicants who submit their own CoC applications independently. You will support with other strategically significant casework as required, including by liaising with public law firms, writing witness statements for JR challenges and communicating directly with Home Office policy teams. You will also share our CoC expertise with the sector through second-tier advice and training workshops.

The role will suit someone who has prior experience of supporting clients with NRPF, an interest in broader immigration policy and the desire to apply those skills to a specialist context. The role requires someone who can adapt quickly and apply a strategic mindset to the challenge of using legal routes to achieving systemic change.

We’re looking for two Regional Campaign Officers who will be responsible for delivering 360 marketing plans for our rehoming centres in the South East of England to expand local awareness of our brand, drive engagement from local communities and encourage more people to adopt a dog.

What does this role do?

• deliver localised marketing and communications content and material focused on specific rehoming centres in the region. This will include immersing yourself in the local community and creating comms assets such as press releases and social media content,

The Senior Financial Accountant is a key member of Blue Ventures’ global finance team, responsible for supporting the delivery of accurate, timely, and Charity SORP-compliant financial accounting across our international operations. Reporting to the Head of Financial Accounting, this fixed-term role will play a hands-on part in month-end and year-end close, consolidation, balance sheet integrity, and statutory accounts preparation, ensuring high-quality financial reporting across multiple entities and jurisdictions.

Role description / person specification:

You would undertake research to identify new potential funding partners, write grant applications, and manage successful partnerships. You would write project funding proposals primarily to trusts and foundations, corporate foundations, and statutory sources. Some charity-sector fundraising experience is desirable. Experience in fundraising from trusts / foundations in particular would be an advantage. The ability to draft inspiring narratives for different audiences is a crucial aspect of this role. You must also be comfortable using spreadsheets and have strong attention to detail, as you would be working with project budgets. You would research and attend relevant events and identify other such opportunities to promote Pragya’s work, to network, and to learn about the latest research and trends in international development. You would contribute to Pragya’s social media posts and campaigns. A basic level of knowledge about video editing and media tools like Canva would be an advantage.

The UK branch of Pragya is a small team, and so you must be capable of using your initiative and managing your own workload. You would need to prioritise your commitments and work to deadlines as needed. You would contribute to the charity’s administrative needs.
