Position Details:
Hours: 37.5 per week over 41 weeks (term time)

Role Overview: Work within a multi-disciplinary team of experienced therapists, advisory teachers, positive behaviour support colleagues, psychologists, and other support team members. Engage in varied activities including assessment, intervention, and monitoring for pupils with autism spectrum conditions, delivering high-quality services to children, young people, and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead clinical supervision and management within the Speech and Language Therapy Team.
- Develop policies and procedures in your area of clinical specialism.
- Manage a caseload of pupils with complex needs, supporting families and carers.
- Conduct initial assessments of pupils' speech, language, and communication skills.
- Develop therapy recommendations at universal, targeted, and specialist levels.
- Provide advice, consultation, and training to pupils, school staff, and families.
- Deliver bespoke support for pupils requiring specialist input.
- Make clinical decisions regarding therapy input and deliver or support others in delivering it.

About You:
- Degree (or equivalent) in Speech & Language Therapy.
- Postgraduate qualification in a relevant area.
- Member of the Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists with completion of NQP Goals and Competencies Framework.
- Current registration with the Health Care Professionals Council (HCPC).
- Evidence of relevant postgraduate training (e.g., AAC, dysphagia, TEACCH).
- Significant post-qualification experience in various clinical settings.
- Experience working with young people and/or adults with Autism Spectrum Conditions.
- Experience in providing clinical supervision.
- Experience in devising and delivering training and working in a multidisciplinary manner.
- Ability to manage and prioritise your caseload and work autonomously.

Job Purpose
Carers Manchester Contact Point (CMCP) is the first point of contact for unpaid carers seeking information, advice and support to help them with their caring role.
The service delivers a free confidential helpline for carers weekdays (Monday – Friday, 10am – 4pm). These times are subject to change, based on the needs and requirements of carers using the service.
The aim of this role is to be part of a team providing a comprehensive information, advice and support to carers in Manchester. The post holder will work alongside colleagues from Gaddum and potentially other organisations to be the first contact in a busy service providing advice via a telephone advice line and managing referrals made through digital sources. They will provide information and advice and refer more complex issues to the appropriate agencies delivering the Manchester Carers Pathway.
Key responsibilities
Advice giving
- Answering telephone calls into a central helpline offering support and guidance to unpaid carers in Manchester.
- Provide relevant and meaningful support and information to unpaid carers utilising internal and external resources.
- Inform carers about carers assessments and refer where necessary.
- Inform carers about emergency grants available and refer where necessary.
- Ensure all advice and support given is delivered in a timely manner to suit the needs of carers calling the helpline whilst balancing waiting callers.
Follow-up support
- Refer unpaid carers to local services to access local and culturally appropriate support in their area.
- Refer carers to Adult Social Care for Carers Assessments to discuss and improve their caring situation.
- Signpost carers to relevant services in Manchester suited to their individual need.
- Complete relevant grant applications for carers using the service where needed.
- Use Carers Manchester Contact Point and other reliable and accurate resources to find, interpret and communicate relevant information to carers
- Research and explore options and implications so that carers can make informed decisions.
- Write and maintain detailed case records for all casework completed.
- Collect required data for statistical monitoring and report preparation.

About the charity
Living in the North West, we're 25% more likely to be diagnosed with cancer than elsewhere in the UK and many cancers are much more common across the region. Community fundraising is an important vehicle to challenge this - by raising money and awareness.

What will I be fundraising for?
Recent fundable projects include a groundbreaking annual Regional Report on cancer and the innovative Lab-Coat Learning education programme for the region's schools.
You'll act as the face of the charity out in the community, spreading the word about how fundraising can drive positive change. You'll develop relationships with volunteer fundraisers, community groups and local businesses, encouraging and motivating them to fundraise.

Role Summary

Experience in a charity fundraising role.

Waterloo Uncovered is the ground-breaking charity that combines world-class archaeology with veteran recovery and wellbeing. Since 2015 we have been supporting veterans and serving military personnel, through programmes centred around the archaeology of the Waterloo battlefield. For example, learning archaeological skills through excavation on the battlefield supported by a wellbeing team, bringing the artefacts discovered at Waterloo to beneficiaries in their community, or supporting beneficiaries to explore archaeology and history of conflict through our online programme. All our programmes link conflicts past to conflict present, as beneficiaries uncover, recover and discover.
As Administrative Assistant you will be part of our small, dynamic, and passionate team, which is supported by an extensive network of volunteers. You will work closely with the Chief Executive on all aspects of our administration in support of our operational delivery, communications, fundraising and outreach.
Key responsibilities:

Programme administration, engaging directly in support of beneficiaries for onboarding, logistics and follow up, answering enquiries and general tasks.

As the Fundraising Marketing Officer, you will support the Senior Marketing Officer in executing the annual fundraising and marketing strategy, with a strong focus on donor acquisition and stewardship. Working collaboratively across the charity, you will drive and enhance marketing efforts across all fundraising products.
