We are looking for an Advisor to provide quality advice, information and support to students using the Advice Service, including casework and accompanying students to meetings and hearings. This is an opportunity to work as part of our Advice and Wellbeing department, ensuring students feel supported, informed and striving for positive outcomes whenever possible.

The advisor will provide support by delivering high quality and accurate advice and information to students using the Advice Service. This will include housing, academic, and employment matters, through casework, support and acting as a ‘friend’ for students in UCL committees, panels, hearings or other meetings. The successful candidate will work effectively with Union and UCL teams, including academic and professional services staff in Casework and Student Support and Wellbeing Services. They will also contribute to the production of engaging and useful content to support students needs.

The Maya Centre is a specialist women-only organisation providing culturally responsive counselling and mental health support for women in North London. We support around 500 women each year through holistic services, including one-to-one counselling, group therapies, psychoeducational programmes, and complementary therapies.

About the Role

We are seeking a Partnerships Building and Outreach Coordinator to strengthen Maya Centre’s connections and develop partnerships with specialist, community, and statutory organisations. The role focuses on building effective referral pathways so women and girls from underrepresented communities can access timely, holistic support. You will also deliver targeted outreach and provide time-limited support to help women access essential services, while working collaboratively to strengthen a more joined-up system across the VAWG and mental health sectors.

What the job involves

As part of our Customer Engagement and Experience team, you’ll play a key role in delivering an exceptional supporter experience, from ordering shop items and receiving fulfilment materials to ensuring Gift Aid contributions are processed accurately and securely.

This job share role combines operational ownership, relationship management and compliance oversight. You’ll be trusted to run essential day-to-day activity and improve the systems that sit behind them.

You’ll build and manage strong relationships with fulfilment suppliers, holding them accountable to KPIs and ensuring materials are delivered accurately and on time. You’ll also manage the day-to-day running of our online shop, including product development, stock forecasting, supplier coordination and performance monitoring.

You’ll keep fulfilment operations running efficiently by identifying improvements, resolving bottlenecks and making sure teams across the charity have what they need. Alongside this, you’ll take ownership of Gift Aid administration, ensuring claims are accurate, compliant with HMRC requirements and supported by clear audit trails.

By monitoring Gift Aid performance, you’ll analyse trends and recommend improvements, keeping internal teams informed and skilled in best practice. You’ll also support Fundraising teams with compliance checks, offering guidance and helping to resolve any issues quickly and effectively.

In addition, you’ll oversee monthly stock reconciliations and financial reporting for shop activity, ensuring accuracy and supporting informed decision-making. You’ll work closely with colleagues across digital, operations, marketing and customer experience to deliver a seamless, joined-up supporter journey.

This is a varied and meaningful role where your work directly improves how supporters experience Prostate Cancer UK.

This Wheelchair Skills Trainer role will predominantly support the Service Delivery Managers in the effective planning and delivery of wheelchair skills training to meet the strategic objectives. The person

You will be part of the Young People’s Services Team who provide a range of services and activities for young wheelchair users and their families. The postholder will take responsibility for the delivery of accredited face-to-face wheelchair skills training for young wheelchair users, as well as training for parents and other professionals involved in their development, ensuring processes and procedures relating to safety and safeguarding are followed. The role also includes liaising with schools, colleges and external organisations and ensuring volunteers are supported and empowered at services.

Key accountabilities

• Planning and delivery of wheelchair skills training and train the trainer across Wales or London.

• Liaise with Whizz Kidz Service Delivery Managers to ensure familiarity with the content and plans for each session, including information about young people’s care and medical needs, details of volunteers attending and venue information including contact names and access arrangements.

• Updating all documentation for events and participants onto the database.

• Promoting Whizz Kidz services to third party organisations in order to drive new applications/referrals.

• Ensuring feedback and monitoring data is collected at each event.

• Liaising with young people, families and schools as required.

• Attending Whizz Kidz services across the country if required in order to support the Service Delivery Managers.

• Use the risk assessment provided by Whizz Kidz to ensure confidence in briefing other staff/volunteers, continually updating each risk assessment where necessary.

• Adhere to relevant Whizz Kidz policies and procedures regarding safeguarding, data protection and confidentiality, risk management, health and safety, incident reporting and working with volunteers when facilitating events for young disabled people. Ensure that all staff and volunteers are fully briefed and working within these guidelines and policies.

• Liaise with Whizz Kidz Services Delivery Managers to ensure availability of sufficient resources and equipment for services, highlighting any discrepancies.

• Attend training days and events with Whizz Kidz staff and volunteers to continually develop relevant skills and competencies to effectively deliver Whizz Kidz’s Young People’s Services.

• Lead Volunteers throughout the day to deliver all planned activities in a safe and positive way, working in line with policies and procedures to ensure maximum participation.

The fundraising team generates more than £10m every year, around half of which comes through gifts left to the charity as legacies. We organise a programme of appeals, campaigns and events, administer our own lottery, make applications to charitable foundations, engage with local business and support individuals who give in-memory of a loved one. This is delivered by a strong employed fundraising team, supported by a number of wonderful volunteers.

Your new role

We are looking for an experienced Trusts and Grants Fundraiser to join our friendly and dedicated team.

In this hands-on position, you will have the opportunity to shape and grow our income from trusts, foundations and charitable funders. You will be responsible for researching, writing and submitting high quality funding applications, nurturing relationships with existing supporters, identifying new funding opportunities, and ensuring that all communications reflect our mission and impact.

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and people‑focused HR Generalist to oversee HR operations across our nurseries and community programmes. This is a hands‑on generalist role, ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with staff (70+), supporting managers, and helping to shape a positive and consistent people culture.

You will play a key role in ensuring our HR practices are effective, compliant and aligned with our values.

Key Responsibilities

HR Operations

• Manage the full employee lifecycle: recruitment, onboarding, training, performance reviews and exit processes.
• Maintain accurate HR systems, staff files and records.

Compliance & Best Practice

• Ensure safer recruitment processes across all nursery settings.
• Work with managers to maintain compliance with safeguarding, employment law and internal policies.

Employee Relations & Support

• Provide clear, supportive advice to managers and staff on HR policies, performance, wellbeing and conduct.
• Manage absence reporting, return‑to‑work procedures and occupational health referrals where needed.

Culture & Workforce Development

• Support senior management with workforce planning and staff engagement.
• Coordinate training requirements, mandatory updates and professional development.

Person Specification

Essential

• CIPD Level 3 qualification
• Experience in a generalist HR role
• Strong understanding of UK employment law
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work autonomously and sensitively with confidential information
• Positive, supportive approach to working with staff at all levels

Desirable

• Experience in early years, education or charity settings
• Knowledge of safer recruitment practices

Working Pattern

• 20–25 hours per week
• Ideally worked across 5 days, but flexibility considered
• Fully on‑site across our Dagenham locations
• Weekly travel to Hornchurch required (travel requests communicated with notice)

Strong communication skills, cultural awareness, and the ability to work collaboratively across diverse global contexts are essential, as is a proactive and resilient approach.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate recruitment activity across the organisation, ensuring vacancies are effectively advertised and managed.

Over one year, we will train, develop and coach an individual to build skills to provide casework support relating to health, welfare benefits, grant applications, discretionary travel, housing, aids and adaptations and/or adult social care.

The role will support our accredited Information and Advice Service and Speaking Up Service. 

Previous experience is not essential but a passion to fight for justice and an interest in learning and developing your skills, knowledge and practice is.
