Our Service

Employment is a key part of mental health recovery. Our employment services are delivered in line with the SEQF (Supported Employment Quality Framework) model, supporting people with mental health challenges to retain paid employment in line with their aspirations. SEQF is delivered in close partnership with community groups, employers, commissioners and the wider system.

Due to receiving new funding we are excited to expand our WorkPlace Leeds service to develop our existing support in the community.

The Role

We are recruiting a Supported Employment Team Leader to provide strong, visible leadership to our employment support teams.

You will have operational responsibility for the quality, fidelity, performance and development of a team of Employment Specialists delivering IPS‑aligned supported employment. The role combines people management, quality assurance, partnership working with community groups, commissioners and system partners, and service improvement to ensure individuals with mental health needs, neurodiversity and learning disabilities are supported to find, start and sustain paid employment.

This is a leadership role, not a caseload‑holding post, and is ideal for someone motivated by developing people, embedding best practice and improving outcomes at service level.

Essential Skills and Experience:

·  Experience providing operational leadership and supervising staff within employment, supported employment or mental health services

·  A strong understanding of IPS, SEQF and recovery‑focused employment approaches, with the ability to embed quality and fidelity in day‑to‑day practice

·  Experience supporting people with mental health needs, neurodiversity and/or learning disabilities

·  Confidence using quality frameworks, performance data and evaluation to drive improvement and accountability

·  Proven ability to contribute to service planning, resource management and performance‑led delivery

About Spear

We launched the award-winning Spear Programme over 20 years ago, and there are now 18 Spear Centres across the country, equipping unemployed 16–24-year-olds facing barriers to employment with the skills and mindset they need to secure work and thrive in the workplace.

JOB PURPOSE

The role of the Policy and Public Affairs Manager is a high-impact role, central to designing and delivering Magic Breakfast’s national policy and public affairs strategy in England. To provide appropriate emotional and practical support to women in the sex industry and/or those who are being sexually exploited with a specific focus on those who are homeless and experiencing domestic violence and abuse. The women we support require intensive practical and emotional support as well as support navigating health and other social care or criminal justice systems. The women will have poor mental or physical health, experience with homelessness and of the criminal justice system, are often victims of sexual and/or domestic abuse and many are homeless. This post specifically will include a focus on domestic violence, sexual exploitation, sexual violence and housing. Working within a harm reduction ethos prioritising women’s safety and wellbeing, the intensive personalized supported will help women to access other services making appropriate referrals for women who wish to make changes, including exiting/transitioning out of sex work. About the role

Home-based role within the relevant region, or within reasonable travelling distance to meet the requirements of the post (subject to meeting homeworking assessment requirements, including a minimum broadband speed of 18Mbps and a dedicated space to work from).

In this key role you will be responsible for assisting the Senior Negotiating Officer to manage and support our stewards, safety and equality representative networks across the South West, supporting them in providing individual and collective industrial relations support to members, working both in and outside of the NHS. You will be working with our dedicated support team to advise and support our members, over the phone, via email, in online sessions and at conferences and support groups in the community. Providing a listening ear and advice on living with myasthenia is essential as they navigate their diagnosis journey and learn how to live well with the condition.

Delivering support and advice for our members also involves using our CRM database and proactively maintaining and increasing our membership. It requires ongoing essential awareness raising of our work through annual initiatives and campaigns and through growing relationships with Healthcare Professionals and other neurological organisations.

Who are we?

Myaware is the only charity in the UK dedicated solely to the care and support of people affected by myasthenia. 

We are working hard to raise awareness of myasthenia, as it is a little-known condition. We provide support for people with myasthenia and their families, whilst offering advice and tips for living with the condition. 

We also fund the research that brings us closer to finding a cure as well as funding specialists nurses and advisors. 

Members of myaware have full access to a wide range of support services and events including our specialist  welfare rights advisor. 

Myaware supports people with myasthenia and their families.  We campaign for better medical services for people with myasthenia and work to inform medical professionals. 

The myasthenias are a group of neuromuscular conditions. They are rare but also manageable and can affect anyone, regardless of age, gender or nationality. Myasthenia gravis, ocular myasthenia and Lambert-Eaton myasthenic syndrome are autoimmune conditions whereas congenital myasthenic syndrome is caused by an inherited genetic fault. It is thought that there are approximately 20,000 people currently living with myasthenia in the UK.

Stockton services are delivered under our successful strategic partnership with Stockton Borough Council. This unique partnership was formed nearly 5 years ago with the aim of transforming service provision using a collaborative approach to service development and innovation. Our South Tees Perinatal service operates over Redcar and Middlesborough and are just entering a 3 year extension to our current contract.

Main Responsibilities:

· Provide leadership, management and supervision to operational services that provide Family Time sessions, Family Outreach support and Volunteering support, plus perinatal support to families.

· Ensure that services are delivered to a good quality standard in relation to practice and performance and that services can demonstrate their impact using evidence based outcomes tools.

· Experience of providing effective management, leadership and safeguarding oversight of case work and group work based support services, which overall improve the lives of  service users.

· Experience of setting up and/or managing innovative projects.

· Strong interpersonal skills, with the confidence and ability to present and communicate information effectively both in person and using a range of mediums to internal and external stakeholders, including children and young people, parents and carers, and funders.

About the Role

The Partnerships Manager will play a key role in driving income growth through philanthropy and strategic partnerships. Reporting to the CEO, this role will contribute to the delivery of an ambitious growth strategy. The post-holder will build and steward relationships with major donors, corporate partners, and philanthropic organisations to ensure alignment with organisational objectives, and will lead the development of high-quality fundraising and outreach that deepen engagement, grow income and strengthen relationships.

This is a senior, hands-on role involving the management of a portfolio, proposal development/writing and leading conversations with donors.

Fundraising & Income Growth

The initial focus of this role will be to grow income from trusts and foundations and selected corporate partnerships, with priorities agreed annually.

• Implement and deliver WasteAid’s Trusts and Foundations income stream with support and collaboration from CEO and Director of Programmes.

• In collaboration with the SMT develop and implement a strategic plan to grow income from major donors, and corporate partnerships.

• Work closely with the CEO and senior leadership to shape funding priorities and develop compelling cases for support.

• Set and deliver ambitious income targets, ensuring a diverse and sustainable funding portfolio.
