About the Advisory Panel
The Advisory Panel is a meeting of the four Council’s committees (Companies, Education, Registration, and Standards) in plenary session. They are established by statute for the purpose of giving advice and assistance to Council (whether or not in response to a request from them) on:

• matters relating to business registrants other than matters required by the Opticians Act to be referred to the Investigation Committee, the Registration Appeals, Committee or the Fitness to Practise Committee;
• matters relating to optical training, education, and assessment;
• matters relating to registration, other than matters required by the Opticians Act to be considered by the Registration Appeals Committee; and
• matters relating to the standards of conduct and performance expected of registrants or those seeking admission to the register.

Time Commitment and Remuneration

This role is part time with a commitment of approximately 2-3 days per year, including time spent preparing for meetings.  Meetings will usually take place via MS Teams but may on occasion be held at the GOC Offices in London or other suitable venues.

Members are paid up to £185 per meeting. This is taxable and subject to National Insurance (NI) contributions. This is in line with our member fees policy and member fee schedule.

About the role

This person will be responsible for leading, coordinating and delivering the event plan in line with the organisational strategy. We are looking for a confident event specialist who will be able to support our frontline team to deliver a schedule of events for social entrepreneurs and UnLtd’s wider network.

You will be flexible in your approach and confident managing the whole process from planning through to delivery and event evaluation. The role is primarily hands-on and often involves working as part of, and at times leading, a cross-functional team. Job Title: Partnership Development Manager

JOB PURPOSE 

As Magic Breakfast continues to expand its reach to support growing numbers of children and young people across the UK, increasing our fundraised income is essential. To help drive this growth, we are seeking a full-time Partnership Development Manager to join our high-performing team and secure new, strategic, multi-year corporate partnerships. 

The purpose of the Partnership Development Manager role is to work closely with the Partnership Development Lead to shape and deliver our new business strategy. The role will focus on identifying, cultivating and securing new strategic, multi-year corporate partnerships, developing tailored and compelling propositions for prospective partners, and collaborating cross-functionally with Brand and Marketing, Operations, Volunteering, and other departments across the Charity to successfully bring these partnerships to life. 

Experience securing five- and six-figure partnerships is a plus, but most importantly, we’re looking for a confident, creative, and outgoing self-starter. Someone who is comfortable building relationships, pitching with conviction, and passionately championing our mission to win new strategic partners. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:  

Pipeline Development and Cultivation:   

• Build and manage a pipeline aligned to Magic Breakfast’s funding priorities, including restricted, unrestricted, and Gift-in-Kind opportunities, working closely with the Prospect Research Manager. 

• Secure meetings with prospective partners through creative outreach, networking, phone calls, and LinkedIn. 

• Cultivate prospects to conversion, tailoring messaging, approach, and engagement to each organisation. 

• Maintain accurate records in the database and ensure all risk screening, due diligence, and compliance with ethical and regulatory standards are completed. 

Planning, Pitching & Partnership Delivery 

• Research and understand each prospect’s strategic priorities to define mutually beneficial partnership opportunities. 

• Develop and deliver engaging pitches, proposals, and costed partnership plans. 

• Collaborate internally and with prospects to agree partnership vision, objectives, and KPIs. 

• Ensure contracts are appropriately prepared, explained, approved, and filed. 

• Facilitate smooth handovers of new partners to Account Managers or the Small Corporates team. 

General:  

• Work closely with the Partnership Development Lead and the wider team to contribute to the new business strategy, annual planning, and budgeting. 

• Collaborate with the Partnership Development Team to share ideas, troubleshoot challenges, embrace our test-and-learn culture, and support collective prospect development. 

• Maintain accurate forecasting in Salesforce, updating weekly to reflect progress and pipeline activity. 

• Monitor trends in corporate giving and competitor activity to identify opportunities and inform proposals.

• Build strong, collaborative relationships across the organisation to support partnership development.

• Actively participate in team meetings, supporting colleagues and sharing insights. 

• Represent Magic Breakfast at occasional external events. 

• Undertake other duties relevant to the role and adhere to all Magic Breakfast policies and procedures.

Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease which is uncommon, complex and poorly understood. It affects the immune system and can cause lasting damage to the kidneys, skin, heart, lungs and/or brain. This organisation is the only national charity supporting people living with lupus and those that care for them. They hold an ambition for a world where people with lupus can live full and active lives and work hard to empower people by providing information about lupus and offering support so their voices are heard and their condition diagnosed and managed effectively.

This is an exciting new role for the organisation which will focus on engaging with communities and recruiting and training volunteers to deliver peer support services for those living with lupus. As Community Services Coordinator you will work as part of a small, tight-knit team, and will facilitate co-production sessions with stakeholders across the lupus community, enabling beneficiaries to design and shape community-based services. The role will involve providing direct support to service users, producing regular reports, and supporting and managing volunteers to provide service resourcing. The organisation is particularly interested in developing their support offering across Northern Ireland and require someone who understands the health landscape and is confident to engage with a range of stakeholders to develop their offering.

This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact across the lupus community. The Role

The Volunteer Recruitment Officer will lead structured volunteer growth and engagement across REMAP’s national branch network. The role exists to increase the number of active volunteers and strengthen branch capacity, ensuring the organisation can respond effectively to client referrals and deliver bespoke mobility and independence solutions.

Working proactively with Branch Chairs and the operations team, the postholder will focus on targeted recruitment, improved conversion of volunteer applications, and more consistent onboarding practices across the network. Our provide safe, supportive accommodation for young people at risk of homelessness, creating a place where they can feel secure, valued, and empowered. At Lansworth House, we provide 20 bedspaces alongside welcoming shared communal spaces for young people aged 16–25.

We take a trauma-informed and psychologically informed (PIE) approach, ensuring every resident receives thoughtful, compassionate support that recognises their individual experiences. Through this framework, we help young people build essential life skills, gain confidence, set meaningful goals, and move toward independent, fulfilling futures with hope and direction.

You will join a passionate team of Support workers, Night workers and Bank staff who provide day-to-day guidance around housing, budgeting, living skills, education, employment, and building healthy relationships. Located in the heart of Hove, our service maintains strong links within the local community and plays a key role in supporting young people to thrive.

What you will be doing

As Deputy Supported Housing Manager, you will play a key role in the running, quality, and impact of our services. Working closely with the Supported Housing Manager, you will help lead a safe, supportive, and high-performing environment where young people can thrive.

Service Provision

You will support the Supported Housing Manager with the day-to-day delivery of the service, ensuring we meet all requirements set out in the service specification and remain fully compliant with Regulator of Social Housing (RSH) and Ofsted standards. Your responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing the full referral, interview, and induction process for all bedspaces and ensuring that every resident understands their Occupancy Agreement and House Rules.
• Maintaining the quality, safety, and presentation of the accommodation by working closely with our Housing and Property Services team to coordinate estate inspections, health and safety risk assessments, repairs, and the timely turnaround of void rooms.
• Supporting effective income collection across the service, working with the Rents team to build and maintain a positive rent-payment culture among residents.

Leadership and People Management

You will directly line-manage members of the staff team, ensuring their practice, professionalism, and development reflect our high standards. You will:

• Provide coaching, guidance, and clear expectations to ensure staff feel confident, supported, and motivated in their work with young people.
• Create a team culture rooted in creativity, consistency, and best practice, ensuring staff are equipped to empower young people to reach their goals while maintaining appropriate and safe boundaries.
• Be responsible for creating and maintaining staff rotas to ensure adequate service coverage at all times. 

General Responsibilities

• Participate in the management on-call rota, offering out-of-hours support to services across the wider locality.
• Embed Psychologically Informed Environments (PIEs), Trauma-Informed approaches, and restorative practices throughout your work, ensuring our support model is compassionate, reflective, and person-centred.

About you

You will be an effective communicator with strong facilitation skills, able to navigate challenging situations with confidence, calmness, and a solution-focused approach. Just as importantly, you will understand the importance of maintaining professional boundaries, modelling best practice for the team and the young people we support.
