This is an exciting and varied opportunity to join Arthritis Action at a pivotal time as we are in the process of developing our 2027-2030 strategy. As our Engagement and Events Co-ordinator (Devon and Cornwall), you’ll play a key role in expanding our reach and impact across the region, ensuring more people have access to our resources and delivering our programme of online events.

You'll engage with a wide range of communities and professionals and support the delivery of online groups and outreach projects. From working with underrepresented communities to helping us connect with more people living with arthritis to support them to self-manage their condition.

Key Responsibilities

Community Outreach & Engagement

• Build and maintain relationships with local organisations, healthcare professionals, and community leaders.
• Organise and deliver community presentations and outreach activities to promote Arthritis Action's services and resources.
• Actively support the delivery of our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Strategy by engaging with diverse and underrepresented groups across the region, including rurally isolated and low-income communities.
• Consolidate findings from the community outreach work into a report by the end of the fixed term contract.

Networking & Relationship Building

• Identify and pursue new networking opportunities with community, healthcare, and voluntary sector partners.
• Represent Arthritis Action at regional events.
• Support collaboration across projects and teams to maximise impact.
• Identify opportunities to work with local volunteers to help raise awareness of Arthritis Action.

Events

• Help promote attendance at our online groups and events to those living in Devon and Cornwall.
• Support the delivery of our programme of online Groups and Events.
• Assist in gathering feedback to help evaluate this service.

Location & Travel

This is a home-based role located within the Devon or Cornwall region. The post requires frequent travel throughout the region, and candidates must have access to their own vehicle. All reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed.

The role and responsibilities

As New Business Lead for UK schools, you will play a pivotal role in growing our school partner base which will enable us to support even more young people with making informed decisions about their next steps.

You will need to be target-driven and proactive. While you will be fully supported by the UK schools team, you will also have the autonomy to lead your own campaigns and projects. 

Your key responsibilities:

• Strategic Outreach: Design tailored campaigns to engage Headteachers, Careers Leads and Trust Executives in a smart and compelling way.

• Lead Generation: Communicate with non-partner schools and colleges to explain how Unifrog supports student outcomes and Gatsby Benchmark and PSHE compliance, and secure online demonstrations for our Area Managers.

• Inbound Lead Management: Act as the first port of call for all new partnership enquiries from individual schools, colleges and Multi-Academy Trusts.

• Collaboration: Work closely with our UK schools team to understand regional challenges and identify how your outreach can best support the growth of their specific territories. 

• Data Analysis and Reporting: Generate custom reports on our CRM database to identify opportunities for growth, cleanse Mutli-Academy Trust accounts, and analyse campaign performance.

• Market Intelligence: Develop an in-depth understanding of the UK ed-tech landscape and the evolving statutory requirements for careers guidance in schools.
   

Working together

You’ll be working with the UK schools team, and line managed by the Head of UK Sales. You’ll work closely with our Area Managers, and also have the opportunity to work with other teams across the company, including UK Primary Schools, Marketing, Employers and HE.

Spires was established as a response to homelessness in the late 1980s. Spires has developed into an organization that provides a range of services, including day centre style drop-ins for homeless people, a Women’s drop in, a Refugee drop in and outreach targeted at supporting Women who are sex working. Our core mission is to support homeless people into housing and to assist those who have been homeless in maintaining their accommodation.

Part 1:  The Role

The Women’s Service Coordinator will manage Spires’ Women’s service offer. The Women’s Service offer comprises of:

• Spires-Street Link, which is a dedicated nighttime outreach service to support women who are involved in street-based sex working. This includes follow up work, casework, and multi-agency working.
• Centre based support for women who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. This also includes casework and supporting Spires’ Housing and Homelessness team.

Part 2: Key duties and responsibilities

• Manage a small team of support workers and a team of dedicated volunteers.
• Oversee the delivery of effective assessment and allocation for clients.
• Oversee the effectiveness of casework across the Women’s Service.
• Directly support a small caseload of clients.
• Manage the team’s rota to ensure sufficient coverage across activities.
• Represent Spires to external organisations, developing and maintaining good working relationships with other professionals, community organisations, and statutory agencies.
• Manage the teams’ outcomes and data to produce reports for funders and stakeholders.
• Support Spires’ fundraising manager in making applications where required.

Part 3: Person specification

Essential experience: 

• Experience of working with women with complex support needs (including substance addiction, mental health needs, domestic violence, no recourse to public funds and sex working) .
• Experience of managing people within a relevant sector.
• Experience of challenging appropriately and maintaining clear and appropriate boundaries
• Networking and effectively liaising with specialist service providers or agencies in order to establish and/or improve access to services for clients.

Part 4: Summary of terms and conditions of service 

Probation: This post is subject to a 6-month probationary period.

Notice: This post is subject to one week’s notice during the probationary period and a six-week notice period thereafter. 

Annual leave: The annual leave entitlement is 35 days per year pro rata, made up of eight bank and public holidays and 27 days annual leave. The 27 days annual leave is normally split between 24 ‘bookable’ days and three closure days that fall between Christmas and the New Year. Although the centre is closed between Christmas and the New Year, we open on Christmas Day for clients. Staff are encouraged to work on Christmas Day if available. Double time off in lieu is offered in return.

Pension: The Spires Centre operates an Opt-out group pension arrangement and currently contributes 5% of annual salary for those who qualify. Personal contributions are currently 3%.

ABOUT THE ROLE

 Variety is looking for a Trusts and Foundations Executive to join our Fundraising and Marketing Team. Reporting to the Trusts and Foundations Manager, the role will be vital in growing our income to fund life-changing practical support to disabled and disadvantaged children and young people across the UK.

You will be responsible for building and sustaining Variety’s growth across our Trust and Foundations portfolio by expanding our low and mid-sized supporters. You will pro-actively approach, secure and steward a pipeline of Trusts and Foundations (ranging from £500 to £20,000) and support the Trusts and Foundations Manager on larger applications and impact reporting.

You will be working with a supportive and knowledgeable team who regularly work from our office in the heart of Camden, London. This role will also require a DBS check.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

· Experience working within a fundraising team at a charity.

· Experience engaging with supporters across the cultivation cycle. For example, researching potential donors, engaging with or stewarding them.

Key Responsibilities
Management Reporting & Financial Insight

Financial Capability & Continuous Improvement

• Design and deliver budget holder training and ongoing financial literacy support

• Identify opportunities for automation, improved data quality and reporting efficiency

About You

Blue Cross animal hospitals and pet care clinics provide veterinary treatment to sick and injured pets when their owners can’t afford private veterinary fees. Our Hammersmith hospital is a compact, quirky site with lots of character which first opened in 1922; we’re very proud of its history. We have separate dog and cat wards, a dedicated room for euthanasia to ensure privacy and dignity and a designated reception team so clinical staff can stay focused on patient care.
